Karen was silent as The Dame soared through the air, checking every once and a while to make sure Flannery was not plummeting down to the ground at terminal velocity. That would be the opposite way to get adorable auburn-haired grandchildren. The newly ventilated Mt. Chimney passed underneath, as did the mysterious ruins near Route 112. As a woman of science (especially one that does not get out that often) this would normally intrigue her to no end, but not today. The sun was setting, and her son might be waking up alone in a hospital without her to be there for him. And while it shamed her to think this of her own child, the fact that he might lash out and attack more people caused her to hurry even more. The thought of repeating the events of Saffron made her heart sink. "Faster!" Karen ordered, holding on tight.

In no time, they touched down in front of the Lilycove hospital. Karen helped Flannery down and recalled The Dame before the Charizard had any time to protest that she had not seen the inside of a pokeball in years. Not waiting up for the gym leader, Karen sprinted into the lobby, banging her hip on the automatic door that apparently didn't have a 'panicking mother' speed setting. She looked around, finding three familiar faces. Winona, Kasiya, and a girl she saw on the video feed from earlier that morning. Relieved she was in the right place, Karen whipped around and all but slammed her hands on the reception desk. "Michael Gian Kyoka!" she shouted. "Around five feet seven inches! Eighteen years old! Shaggy brown hair! Beautiful green eyes! He must have come in here within the last hour!"

"Ma'am!" the woman behind the desk yelled. "Please calm down! I will look for you!" Karen was anything but calm.

"Please find him!" she begged. After a few seconds, the receptionist frowned, and looked up to the frantic mother, bracing herself for the inevitable.

"I'm sorry, ma'am, but we don't have any record of a patient by that name being checked in her-"

"That's not possi-" Karen turned to the girls. "He's here right?!" She looked at them for an answer, then at Flannery, who had just walked in. After a moment, Sasha cleared her throat before finally speaking up.

"Um," she swallowed. "Look up z'he name Milo Smeeth. Smeeths." Sasha groaned, taking a deep breath. "S.M.I.T.H. He was checked in wi's z'hat nom." Winona shot a murderous glare at the two girls.

"That name?" she said through grit teeth. "Out of every single one you would have used you picked that one?"

"We panicked!" Sasha wailed defensively, tugging at her collar as she looked up at Flannery.

"Do you know what could happen if he wakes up to people calling him that?" the Gym Leader. "You could have called him Francine and it would be less dangerous!"

As the girl's continued to argue, Karen turned once again to face the receptionist. "That name. Use that name please." she paused, a cold, detached voice ringing out in her memories. "Milo Smith."

"The rock climbing accident. Room 329B." said the receptionist. "Down the hallway to the left on the end. It says here that he just finished treatment a few minutes ago, so you can go see him now." She looked up to hand the woman a guest pass, but found no sign of her. The only people left were the two girls with brightly colored hair butting heads. The blond girl who helped bring him in was gone and the red-head with the crazy hair had disappeared as well.

"Je voudrais vous voir faire mieux, Amelia!"
"Speak! English! And who are you calling Amelia!?"

After almost knocking over an old man in a wheelchair, Karen slowed her pace to a speed walk, scanning the numbers on the doors as she raced down the hall. Each patient and doctor she saw only added to her fright. "321, 323, 325," she read off before finally reaching the correct room. Karen swung open the door, the color draining from her face at what she saw. It was her son alright, but in no condition a mother would ever want to see. He lie completely still, hooked up to more machines than she thought necessary. Each one beeped and buzzed, brightly colored numbers flashing on the screens. Between him and the machines was a thick tarp that cast a dark shadow on him, accenting his glowing scars that covered the visible parts of his body. Karen staggered back at the sight, suddenly feeling very light-headed. She managed to shake herself out of it, and rushed over to the side of the bed, ducking into the tarp. "Honey! Baby!" she pleaded, gently shaking his arm before pulling her hand back. "You're burning up!" she said, suddenly realizing it was sweltering under the tarp. "He's burning up!" she shouted out the door, suddenly realizing Kasiya and Flannery were standing there. "What happened to him?!" she demanded of the girls.

Robin lead her team towards the diner she had found and holding the egg in her hands she lead her team inside and towards the large table she had them set up for them earlier. On the large table huge plates of pasta, garlic bread and a bunch of jugs of water. "I hope you like it guys! Don't make to much of a mess!" She called as her team practically leapt onto the table in their usually feeding frenzy. Laughing at them she sent an apologetic look towards the staff and mouthed that she would clean it up for them. With that she tucked into her own plate of pasta and snagged a piece of garlic bread. Soon the group was having a great time. They had promptly made it up to the staff by probably being the most fun customers in the whole store. The laughter was infectious as soon most of the tables were pushed into theirs and it all became one huge family meal sort of thing. Even Ampersand called during the meal and Robin invited him down and it seemed like their whole group was there.

"This is great." Robin muttered her cheeks hurting from smiling and laughing so much. Next to her Luffy patted his over stuffed belly feeling full for once, then again he had eaten a lot of pasta.

"So are you really just saying that egg just came out of no where." Ampersand still didn't quite believe her. Then again he never really felt the affects of how powerful pokemon were. He was sitting on the far end of the table well away from her team and the egg. He had said something earlier about being a bad effect on not even hatched pokemon.

"It so did. There was a big flash of light then all of a sudden it was in my arms!" Robin defended clutching the egg closer to herself. "It was in front of the statue out there. I think it was those pokemon on it!"

"Dialga and Palkia? Probably not. Those guys are dicks." Ampersand paused for a moment before tacking on. "At least that is what I heard."

"Well, whatever." Robin huffed clutching the egg a little harder only to have it crack a bit in her arms. "Oh no I broke it!" She cried as the crack ran a little more down it's shell.

"I think it's just hatching." Ampersand teased her leaning back to watch. He was curious as to what she was getting to. He watched as Robin's whole team seemed to crowd around her in anticipation as more and more cracks started to appear down the sides of the egg. What could possibly be inside?!

~~~~~~~~
Frowning he picked the egg up grumbling about it all the while he was wiping it down. "Really. This is just ridiculous!" For some reason it never occurred to him that the egg might be someone elses. He just knew that it was for him, it was almost like it had been with him the whole time, like a certain other egg.
At his side Kenny looked at the egg with curiosity. His trainer sure did like to get egg pokemon. Then again he had no idea what was in this egg. Judging from Dante's comment he had no idea either. Was this like how his trainer had gotten him? He knew he had been won in a contest and Dante had no idea that he had been in the egg. Maybe this was like another contest or something? Either way it looked like breakfast was over. Shoving the rest of the food in his mouth he picked up the prize he had fought so hard for. It felt right in his hands. He had no idea what that really meant but he knew he wouldn't be letting go of this for a long time. Then again it would become a part of him when he decided to evolve.
Sighing Dante got up and glared down at his ruined cereal and then down at the egg resting in his arms. Great another thing for him to carry, and for those of you not in the know it was another thing for Apollo to carry really. "Let's go see what those two wanted to talk to me about. I have a bad feeling about this." He muttered that last part but he really did have a bad feeling about this.
As Carlos approached his home the music got louder and louder and he simply had to smile as he walked up the wooden steps to the somewhat small but festive house built on the beach. There was a cactus outside of his house, the beach not being the ideal place for one it needed constant care but it was so big now, no matter how tall Carlos got growing up the saguaro was always so far from his reach. But there was a new smaller cactus planted next to it that hadn't been there before, and Carlos got an uneasy feeling walking past it like he was being watched. But that didn't matter now, he entered the house and grinned, guitar in hand as a few trumpets a drum another guitar and maracas all filled the air the sound wave pouring out as he opened the door. "QUE TAL MI FAMILIA!" He called out as he strolled in falling in line and strumming to the music. His family turned to look at him and lauhed and smiled, but didn't stop playing. He joined them and they played together until the song was done, which was when the first words were spoken by his mother.
"Aye mi hijo, I've missed you so! How has your journey been?" The rather short woman with long dark hair approached him and threw her arms around her son. She touched the round part of his poncho that held the egg and gasped. "And you've gotten a belly like your papa. No estas tomando mucha cervesa verdad?" She asked with a stern look that was almost angry.
"Ai mi hijo, and your rhythm is a bit off too. You're not practicing your guitara enough, we're musicians first and pokemon whatevers second remember that." Said the gruff voice of his father who was a little shorter than him, had a bit of a belly and a large mustache that while brown was starting to go white.
"No mama, no estoy tomando mucho. It's not a beer gut, es un huevo." He said as he pulled the egg from under his poncho. It's a mystery egg. Came out of thin air! Via una luz brillante and it knocked me on my culo and then the egg was there. It's very warm." He said grinning as he held it.
"un huevo? Ah mi hijo es un regalo del dios, and don't use that kind of language. Tan fresco que eres." His mother said as she gave him a light thump on the head, and examined the egg. Meanwhile her husband just laughed and patted their son on the back.
"Regalo del dios? I don't know about that mama but of is strange. I should loom into this more. I'll practice more on my playing dad sorry but my research gets me too wrapped up sometimes. That's kind of why I'm here, to get back to the heart beat of our people and refresh the music of my soul! And this little guy has the soul too,I can feel the rhythm of its alma, you know?" He said with a grin as he rubbed the egg affectionately, only for it to crack. Carlos was startled by it and quickly set it down, his whole family gathering around it to watch, aside from his parents his two sisters and his cousin were there as well, but they hadn't said anything as they wanted to let their parents get the first greetings in. The rest would have to wait though as the shell fell apart and everyone witnessed the new life before them.
"What?" Misty cried out, slightly surprised by the girl's order, but found that Raticate readily leapt in the pool and took his turn swimming, at a very fast pace. The redhead ground her teeth, slightly annoyed, mostly because she hadn't even considered the possibility of a Raticate of all Pokemon swimming. The tan blur slammed directly into Quagsire with what seemed to be a critical hit, the Water Fish Pokemon crying out and trying to swim away in vein. Misty looked up at Train and smiled begrudgingly. "That was pretty good, you know. But that doesn't change anything! Quagsire, use Slam!" The Water/Ground-type reared back and rocketed forward, intent on throwing all of her weight into the waterbound Raticate, now very intent on making up for that last blow.
Amy's gaze turned to Riza when she heard the girl cry out, her mouth opening a little in shock. "Are you okay?" she called out, torn between staying by the blonde girl and heading over to the more familiar girl, her conflict worsening when she saw what she thought were tears in the corner of Kasiya's eyes. She strode over to Riza after the blonde had inquired about her, feeling guilty both for leaving the other girl and for waiting so long to check up on her friend. "Hey," she said, more softly, as she kneeled beside Riza, noticing that the raven-haired seemed to have the same affliction as her opponent: they both had been gifted with Pokemon eggs from some sort of celestial power. "Are you all right?" she asked again, adjusting her glasses and glancing back at Kasiya when the blonde exclaimed loudly. It seemed her egg hatched right away, and an unfamiliar yet cute Pokemon laid inside the shell.
"Wow," she murmured, mostly to herself, and then squinted when that familiar flash came again, this time bequeathing Karrigan with an egg of her own. The brunette stared quietly for a moment, wondering why everyone was suddenly receiving eggs. She wondered dreamily if she would get one too, but figured that if it was meant to be and she deserved something like that, it would come just as the rest had. Focusing on the moment, Amy turned to Riza and offered her hand as she stood, smiling a little. "I bet you'll get a really neat Pokemon, Riza!" Flora watched her trainer from a few feet away, still hovering near Karrigan and Kasiya, and turned to beam up at the older Meganium and nudge her back. She was pleased to see the Herb Pokemon up close, especially since she had witnessed how fearsome Rosemary seemed in battle. She lingered still with that small group, though keeping a steady watch on her trainer, hoping that she would get an egg as well and not feel terribly left out.
"What the hell," Jade repeated in a hiss, cradling the egg close to her chest as she righted herself, landing unceremoniously on her rear. Aquarius waddled over a moment later, clutching at his head and nudging her head with his bill. "I'm okay, Aquarius... I think." She glanced up to the sky, hoping to see a Flying-type soaring above or something of the sort, but there was nothing. She brushed her hair out of her eyes and studied the egg, holding it up. As Jake stood, she remembered that the blonde was there and stood up herself, arms protectively wrapped around the egg that just dropped out of nowhere. She felt naturally disposed to protect it, the pain of her throbbing knee practically inconsequential. But when the blonde insisted that he see it, she shifted it to one arm and pulled up her pant leg. Her knee had a mild looking gash, the sight of blood not bothering Jade in the slightest. She shrugged and let it fall back into place.
"See? It's nothing. I'm fine, don't worry," she said, resisting the heat that threatened to rise up to her cheeks. "I'm more concerned about eggs materializing out of thin air than I am about myself, you know." She looked down at her egg if only to distract herself, hugging it closer yet. Aquarius did not seem very convinced of his trainer's dismissal, but let it go for now, intuitive enough to know that she would do as she pleased. "So uh," Jade said, looking down the route, their journey ahead suddenly much less interesting than the eggs in their arms. "That was really... that was weird." She knew that there was nothing to do but keep moving forward, but she kept staring between her egg and Jake's, ignoring her Psyduck's accusatory stare and the ache in her knee.
The moment Robin saw the large piercing blue eyes from behind a wild fluff of a mane on some sort of bug with weird spikes on it she let out a loud squeal. "You are so cute!" She hugged the little bug to her chest feeling the huge amount of heat that was being expelled by the little guy. It had to be a fire type! No way it could be that hot and not be a fire type. Holding it up she gave the cute little guy a smile, it's bright blue eye looked at her curiously. It looked like it was a bug though, fire and bug type? That was so weird though! It almost sounded a little wrong actually. Still if that was what this guy was then that was what he was and Robin loved him anyway.
The whole table was looking at the redhead who was holding up the strange fluffy white bug thing with a strange crown of orange spikes on it. It was then that someone asked the question that everyone else had been thinking. "What is it?"
Robin's little bubble burst as she frowned slightly at the question. In her arms the bug became a little alarmed that the person was frowning, had it upset her?! Robin's frown turned back into a smile though and it calmed down. "I have no idea what it is. I love it though and it loves me, isn't that right Zuko?" Robin asked the small bug in her hands.
The newly dubbed Zuko looked down at Robin the visible blue eye seemed to lock onto Robin's own equally blue eyes. It was there that it seemingly made up it's mind. It would do anything for this girl, no matter what.
"See it loves me to!"
"Yeah but what is it?" Ampersand was the one to ask this time. He might not be able to use pokemon but he did think he had seen every pokemon out there before. This one though, well he had never even heard of anything like this little guy.
~~~~~~~

On his way out of the pokemon center he took a pit stop at the pokecenter PC and after a moment of thought he deposited Hera. She was the one he had to work with the most to but he really felt that putting her away was probably the best decision for the moment. Adjusting his hold on the egg he headed out of the pokemon center and looked around. Where was he going to find either of those two.

"Oh are you done yet?" Came a gentle voice from behind him.

Dante turned around to see the pretty girl he had been traveling with. Angelic must have changed because she was wearing something different. In her arms was the green and brown egg he had from earlier. "Hey. Look what I got." Dante held up his second egg for the blond to inspect.

"Oh my. A second one? Why did you get another one? This one hasn't even hatched yet." Angelic seemed to be a little upset at him for that.

Dante just shrugged at her comment. "It just appeared in my cereal. I didn't ask for it."

"Just appeared?" She seemed a little confused at that.

"Yeah. I got covered with milk to." Dante snorted a bit at that and made a note to take a shower soon. Preferably before he called Keegan. "So what was it that you wanted to talk to me about?"

At that the pretty blond blushed and looked away. "Um yeah I did want to talk to you. Can we go sit down some place?" She asked pointing over to a bench a little ways off under a tree. The two of them headed over, Kenny following behind them though he stayed in the shade under the tree happily sinking into the cool earth, he didn't like the sun all that much.

Four Years Ago

“This’ll be the battle to end all battles!” Scarlet declared with a wide grin. “Isn’t it, Cindy!?” The Cyndaquil at his side responded with a cheerful squeak, and a patch of red-orange flames darted out of her back, the slightest heat haze shimmering around her as she darted toward the middle of the field.

“What’s wrong with you!? This is our FIRST battle!” Cyan responded, excited despite herself as she watched her adorable little Vector waddle cheerfully toward Cindy. He growled with an almost unrestrained glee, gasping for air in between each almost-roar he made.

“Exactly! After we finish with you, you’ll be too scared to fight us again! CINDY! USE SCRATCH!” Scarlet commanded with authority, and with grace and alacrity, Cindy moved in close enough to rake Vector with the awesome fury of her razor sharp claws.

“…” Gaping jaw hanging open, Vector tilted his head to the right. As he stared down at the fire mouse awkwardly flailing about with both her arms at his belly, he couldn’t help but notice that she lacked claws to scratch with. While Cindy furiously continued her assault, Vector looked back at Cyan.

“Ummmm! Tackle, Vector!” Cyan ordered confidently. After all, what in the world didn’t learn tackle? Well, Totodile didn’t. Vector attempted to throw himself at the Cyndaquil, but managed to catch his left foot with his tail. Cindy just managed to dart out of his way as Vector’s face was introduced to the ground. “Oh man, Vector, are you okay!?” Cindy snickered to herself as the Totodile gruffly picked himself up and turned with a wave toward Cyan. “Cool! Okay, what do you say we do this right! USE HYDRO PUMP!”

“AH!” Scarlet jumped as soon as the words registered, and not to be outdone, he called out his own command. “CINDY, USE FIRE BLAST!”

The Pokemon stared at one another. Then they attacked! Vector’s jaw dropped, and out of his mouth came a violent whirling torrent of water. Well. Not really. It was more like incredibly watery drool dribbling out from between his fangs. Cindy’s flame patch flared and she took in all the air she could. Then she spat out a flame the terrifying size of a candle light, which fizzled out a few centimeters from her face.

“… Well I think that went super well, Cindy,” Scarlet muttered, glancing awkwardly to the side as the Cyndaquil’s cheeks puffed up in sheer disappointment.

Vector’s shoulders slumped and his head hung low. His trot back to Cyan’s side was slow and depressing and she hugged him again. “That’s okay, Vector! You tried your best, and that’s all I can ask!”

“I think we’re pretty bad at this, Cyan,” Scarlet piped in as he picked up his starter.

“Course we are, silly! It was our first match! And it was sort of… Unfinished because we have no clue what they can do, so…”

“So,” said Scarlet with a wide grin. “We figure out what they can do, and we battle lots so we can get stronger!”

And that’s what they did. Every time the pair had a waking moment, Cyan and Scarlet let Cindy and Vector grow at it. And with every battle, their rivalry grew.

~~~
“This is it, Cindy! Let’s go all out! Try for another Flame Wheel!” Scarlet could feel the adrenaline pumping through his body as he issued the somewhat risky order. But it was their best bet of winning. After all she needed to deal enough damage to bypass that irritating water typing. As the Quilava charged ahead, though, Vector dug his feet into the earth, staring her down and preparing for the clash that would decide everything.
“Vec, you know what to do!” Cyan called out, fists clenched as she observed the Quilava’s entire body begin to be wreathed in red hot flames. And she wasn’t wrong. As Cindy leaped into the air and curled into a blazing ball, ready to smash Vector in the head, the Croconaw opened his mouth and released a surprisingly vicious water gun. The shot almost instantly extinguished the flames and blasted Cindy back rather violently.
Scarlet grimaced when the attack hit and ran forward to catch his Quilava before she crashed to the ground. “… Cindy?” She winced at the sound of her name, then stared up at Scarlet apologetically, her bright red eyes wide. “… You did really good today,” he said quietly with a small, sad smile before recalling her to her pokeball.
“That was a good match, Scarlet!” Cyan said with the cheeriness one would expect from the victor. But Vector was in no condition to stroll around. She called him over, reaching into her bag to feed him a Rawst Berry. Almost instantly, the Croconaw’s rather painful looking burn was soothed, and Cyan returned him to his home in his ball. “Course that typing problem’ll only get worse as this whole thing goes on…”
“Yeah, I know,” he muttered, clipping Cindy’s pokeball back onto his belt. “You never did tell me what you were doin’ out here, y’know?” Scarlet didn’t want to be angry. After all, losses happened from time to time. But he and Cindy were so close to managing a victory that he’d have rather run into Sam and Miharu again. There was something about failing at snatching victory from the jaws of defeat (or in this case, Vector) that felt a lot worse than failing at something you have no chance in succeeding in.
And Cyan could tell by the way the constantly confident boy eyed his shoes like they were a movie screen playing Oscar bait that he wasn’t exactly thrilled with the total thrashing the Dynamic Duo just handed him. She walked over and slapped him on the back, grinning broadly. “You should cheer up! You get better by taking risks, isn’t that what you always say? So the risk didn’t pay off this time. Who cares? We had a fun match, didn’t we? After you stopped shooting me the death glare, anyway.”
Scarlet stayed quiet for a moment, before nodding. “You’re right. I’ve just… Been in a sort of slump, I guess,” he said quietly. “And I don’t like seeing Cindy hurt. I’m gonna head into the Center and get her healed up. You coming?”
Cyan shook her head. “I’m on my way home, so me and Vec’ll just chill in my room. It was good bumping in to you. ... Take care, okay?” She lingered long enough for the redhead to nod before starting toward Cherrygrove, leaving Scarlet behind the Pokemon Center, staring at the sphere that held Cindy. After a long moment, he sighed and started the Center entrance to get his girl healed up.
"Were either of you even paying attention to the last, I don't know, day?" Winona barked, her brow furrowed in annoyance at Sasha.
"Oh, pardon moi!" the pink-haired girl replied dramatically. "Forgive me and Kassie for having a moment of panic when our friend is being wheeled off in a stretcher, bleeding molten blood and filling z'he room wi's smoke!"
"Do you know what would happen if he-...do you know how close he is to going-" Winona paused, taking in a breath. "I had to pull a major favor to keep him out of being hauled off in chains!" she whispered through grit teeth. "And you two almost botched that!"
"You leave Kassie alone." Sasha growled, scowling and leaning in face to face with Winona. "Or I swear, I'll-" her threat was cut off as a sudden strange noise rang out from beneath them, and a bright light poured out from the tears in Sasha's skirt. The girl's eyes widened in confusion as she felt something appear between her thighs. She lifted her skirt.
"Did you just...lay an egg?" Winona asked. The question was less directed at the pink-haired girl, but more the grand being responsible for this crazy life she bore witness to. Sasha tried to use words. She really did. She opened her mouth and everything, but try as she might, there wasn't a single thing she could say. Letting her skirt fall over the egg, she looked up at Winona and shrugged, her eyes widening as the egg began to move. Well, hatch would be the correct term. Frozen in a state of embarrassment and discomfort, both girls just stared at each other until one of them had the guts to look down at Sasha's new bundle of joy.
As it turns out, looking was completely unnecessary. As soon as the egg began to crack underneath her, Sasha felt an all too familiar sensation. "YEOW!" she yelped, leaping off of the chair and onto her feet. "Ow! Ow! Ow!" Shaking off the remaining egg shells, the healthy little Pokemon stood up. It looked like a cactus with pretty little flowers on what look like...ears? "Oh not another one!" Sasha wailed. "Prickles was enough trouble!"
"M'yara?" the newborn Pokemon cooed to the pink haired girl.
"What is it?" Winona asked, inspecting it. "I've never seen a Pokemon like this before. And wait a minute. Where did it even come from?" Sasha shrugged. It was quickly becoming her only response to what went on around her.
"I'm not sure." she groaned, biting her lip as she pulled a thorn out from her thigh. "But wherever it came from, we need to get it back the-"
The cactus-like Pokemon shook its arms, its hands making a noise similar to maracas. Tiny, adorable maracas.
"I need it. I want it. It's mine now. I'm naming it Samba." the girl sat down next to the baby Pokemon and beamed. "How are you, you cute little precious baby vous êtes très adorable. Je vais vous apprendre à chanter et danser, et nous allons faire une petite bande et être célèbre et..." Sasha rambled on, much to the delight of the cactus Pokemon. As Sasha prattled on, Winona had been searching her Pokedex for what this strange species could be.
"Perhaps it is one from that newly opened up region." Changing her settings, she pointed the device at the Pokemon. It clicked and whirred as it processed the command.
"Maractus: the Cactus Pokemon." the Pokedex droned. "It uses an up-tempo song and dance to drive away the bird Pokémon that prey on its flower seeds." Winona let out a curt 'hm'.
"I won't let any birds eat those pretty pretty flowers, Samba." Sasha gushed, sliding her hands between the thorns (as only someone with a troublesome Cacnea would know how to do) and lifted her into the air. "No I won't!" The Maractus trilled in joy, shaking its arms wildly in Sasha's grip, which only served to drive the girl into more of a fit.
"I'm going to go get something to drink." Winona sighed, needing a break from the rambunctious girl. The Gym Leader stood up and walked off, Sasha and Samba's collected cooing ringing through the halls.
As Bahamut landed in front of the Lilycove Hospital, Kilik awoke from his nap rather refreshed. Sleep was one of the best things ever, and in times like these, it was easy to take such a simple thing for granted. He slid off of Bahamut and sighed heavily, recalling her into the Pokeball. With a little stretch, he walked into the hospital to see Winona and Sasha arguing over something. Before he could attempt to break it up, he noticed a bright light shining between Sasha's legs and an Egg slowly rolled out from beneath her skirt. Now, Kilik would never claim to be an expert on the human body, much less the bodies of females; that was more Mazarin's territory. However, he was completely certain that by no stretch of the mind could girls ever actually lay Eggs.
What in the world...!? Kilik thought, putting a hand on his head, a tint of pink coming across his face. Perhaps it wasn't too Farfetch'd after all. He personally knew psychics, he saw Mike shoot fire out of his hands, and mouth and...well, pretty much everywhere. Maybe Sasha laying an Egg wasn't as odd as it seemed given the circumstances. "W-well," he cleared his throat to speak up but then the Egg began to hatch, and out of it was a very flowery cactus. It was like Cacnea had a Female-only evolution. It was certainly not a Pokemon Kilik had ever seen before. Without hesitation, he pulled his PokeDex from his sidebag and held it up.
"No data for this Pokemon exists in this PokeDex's firmware. An update exists for this model. Please apply system update to version G.5"
"Huh?" he looked up at the cactus and blinked. How strange. Sasha happened to receive an Egg, seemingly out of her own body, to hatch into a Pokemon he'd never seen before. The two girls looked equally confused. The PokeDex was even at a loss. Putting it in the back of his mind to update later, he approached Sasha and Winona. "Well..." he scratched the back of his head, still a little red in the face, "Looks like Prickles has a nice new friend."
As Flareon took the Sonic Boom to the face, the small fox rubbed his cheek and frowned a little. He was only playing! However, the shock of the surprise must have sparked what was happening to Miles right in front of him. He glanced around as all of Kilik's other Pokemon starting looking at the Water-type as well. Even Aggron had bothered to open one of his eyes to see what was happening. In a mere moment, the Buizel began to shift and change and become much larger.
The boy shot up like a bullet when he noticed the bright light emitting from Buizel. "Hey, what---!" he looked over at Flareon, who was taking a slight step back. In front of him stood a much bigger, two tailed fox Pokemon. It looked like it was wearing a life preserver around its shoulders. "Haha, remember when I said your Pokemon would be getting stronger in no time?" Kilik laughed, looking at Katie, who just seemed to be completely ecstatic with her little Miles' new form. The boy jumped off of his Flygon's back and starting taking Pokeballs off of his belt. "Alright, everyone, time to get back inside. We got some walking to do!" He held up a sphere in each hand and recalled Scizor, Aggron, Flygon and Weezing. He figured Flareon would enjoy riding along on Katie's shoulder and that Kord would prefer sitting on Cable's head for the duration of the journey to Oreburgh.
Yet as he called Flygon back, he noticed an Egg laying on the ground where the dragon had been. Kilik cocked an eyebrow and knelt down. The Egg was warm, but it certainly couldn't have been there before. This is like...when Sasha got that Egg out of nowhere... he thought, putting his hand on the top of it. Had it been there, Flygon certainly would have crushed it. As he picked it up, he glanced over his shoulder to see Genki finding an Egg inside of Katie's bag, and looking just as confused as Kilik was.
"Katie, you may wanna check your bag. I think Genki found somethi--huh?" he noticed the Egg shaking and cracking in his arms, and he slowly put it on the ground. He had no idea what Pokemon would hatch from it, and he certainly didn't want to be holding it if it was another one of those cacti Pokemon! Kilik bit his lip in anticipation...How strange...
