Eva was beginning to wonder who the hell built this place when she found herself in a room filled with snakes. She heard the hissing before she saw them, and from the sound alone, she had been able to determine that there were a lot of serpents lurking in the depths of the water.
Good thing there was a bridge. Despite the fact that its sheer narrowness intimidated her, she certainly wasn't about to backtrack when she already made it this far.

It was all in the timing. It was all in the timing.
As he got up the courage he made his move trying to quickly but safely traverse the room of swinging blades only one slice right into his left shoulder blade making him wince and suck in a harsh breath before he continued onward determinedly. The faster he got out of here the better.

Rin was a bit off put by how nice the next room was. Fancy. She didn't trust it. She turned back around to high tail it to another room, one with less of a dead end.

To be honest, she'd actually been expecting some quip about her gender and then to be told to get away or something about the b***h division (she did have a very Mist-marked coat, after all). Some comment of that variety. But she didn't get it, instead just listening to Rep express his thoughts on dying there.
Cass laughed. "I'm not sure where this would rate between 'death by flaming dragon-wolf-thing' and 'nearly crushed into a black hole of oblivion' from our last two runs with death." She rubbed her ribs as she mentioned the 'nearly crushed to death' thought, then opened and closed her hands, mostly looking at her fingers - remembering.
Looking across the way at Sandy trying to figure out how the lift worked, Cass shrugged. "Well, at least she knows what to look for. Before that, we were kind of lost as to how to even start the lift. Any progress is good progress in this case." she nodded, the comment about 'women' being completely glazed over.

How long had the chimera been stalking them? It was impossible to say, but the thought that they'd been watched all this time made Jordan feel colder than the chill air and water could account for. The thing's teeth gleamed faintly in the dark, and its behavior made him think of a cat toying with its prey.
He'd never liked cats.
Splitting up gave them a better chance as a group, but individually - not thinking about it, just running.

A rush of relief hit him as he entered the next room and found that it was not seemingly lethal at all though he didn't put his guard down at all. There seemed to be something missing in the room. Hm! How strange. He continued to gander around taking a moment of respite.

And then the gods took pity on her and her lack of direction when she found herself at--
--wait a minute, this was the place with the arrows.
After all that wandering around, she had simply ended up back where they had originally started! But this time, there was something different, something she hadn't noticed before: the spiral glyph. Ah ha, so this was the right place after all! But first, she needed to make her way through the hallway again.
Fortunately, it seemed as if she had been spared the trouble when Barney suddenly burst forth from out of seemly nowhere. Her mouth dropped open as she watched him swung out with her hammer to deflect the arrows, but she didn't stop to ask questions. Instead, as she ran past, she shot him a grin and a quick word of thanks.

The dark doorway led Sherry straight into a chamber out of a storybook. It looked like a treasure room. Sherry's first thought: Dragon. She had just seen a manticore, after all.
Agreed. Whether or not there was something in this room, it didn't matter. Sherry needed to find a way out.
Armagnac was a bit touchy.

Jude was apparently pretty observant just then because he saw someone - or thought he did. His face made a grim expression as he also saw the very familiar glow to them. Jude moved to try and catch up with the figure but only to find that they mysteriously disappeared. He'd been about to tell that particular figure a rather long laundry list of words (not all of them good). Oh well.

Eva sighed in relief upon noticing that others who were present, wiping her forehead with the back of her arm. Geez, all the running had tired her out...but what now?
She listened absently as the others spoke, turning to scan her new surroundings with a frown. Was there a way out of here, she wondered? She lifted a hand, running her glove over the smooth surface of the wall. The exit was right above their heads, but there didn't seem to be any clear way to get to it. And the rest of the room didn't seem to provide many more clues on how they were expected to get out. Except...
...What was that?
"What does this lever do?" She had found one of the levers, leaning close to examine it. However, even Eva knew better than to reach out and pull on a mysterious lever (as tempting as it might have been). Drawing back, she glanced behind her in search of the closest trainee. "Ah--Wilson! Any idea what this is for?"

Sighing, he gave a look to Leon, "We get out of here we need a spar. This ******** ridiculous-" he grumbled. Clans, Lairs, so far, all Marcus wanted was to get real ******** answers, Cass's earlier statement ringing true.
Looking around, Marcus was s**t at investigating. "I think I'll just.. cover the door." Granted, pulling out his flashlight to look at the section of floor leading up to said entry to arrow hell- Not much was seen as another trainee joined them. "One more out of how many..."

Sherry's eyes scanned the room. She was grateful for the torches, it was nice to be out of the dark. There was stuff everywhere, rather pretty stuff, in fac--
A flash of blue caught her eye. Sherry turned, and for half a second she thought she saw someone. That blue glow was unmistakable. But when she blinked, he was gone. Still, Sherry moved toward where the person had been, but it was clear that either she had imagined it, or he was long gone. If it was indeed Caelius, well, long gone was quite likely.
That was when Sherry noticed the pedestal with it's strange glyph. Of course, other than being a pedestal that held nothing, it was of little note. Sherry turned her attention to exiting this room. She needed out of this place.
