Kennard glanced at Rose, and at her fist, and then at the lady next to her. She recalled her being one of his more... vocal nobles. "We're all glad to have you here. Isn't that right, Lady Galvensdale?" Kennard raised an eyebrow at the old woman. "We all know how vocal you can be, Lady Galvensdale. You haven't done anything to upset Lady Rose, now have you?" Kennard voice was kind, but it was plain he was done dealing with nobles acting like toddlers.

Riordan could help but smirk at all that happened. He knew the woman. And she was quite annoying and sickeningly arrogant. When his father spoke he nodded, "I agree. I hope you did not upset my close friend. I took a rather pleasant walk through the Garden with her." He said not, letting the bad memories of what happened shortly after show through. "Now, are there any real issues? If not, I am leaving." He said looking out at all the nobles. "You all come here whining t o me and my father, like children. Now, are there any issues that actually require myself or my father to rule over? If not, I think we would both rather be seeing to my little brother." He said glaring out.
No one said a word in response. Only shock and awe at his earlier actions and his current words. Was he courting Miss Rose? And did he really just call several of the nobles as acting like children?
"It appears there is nothing more." He said before looking to Jeremy. "Jeremy, I will speak with you later about your duties. Father," He said looking to the King, "Since there is no real need for us to be here, I think we can go see to Owen. And have you seen Loa? She seems to have disappeared."

Kennard gave a nod over his son statement, quite frankly agreeing with it. "As you say, son." Kennard tilted his head at Rio's last statement, before shaking his head. "No, son."
Loa, who had already packed a bag with the essentials- a bag she had made herself, so that it didn't interfere with her wings- and prepped for her trip, and it was waiting in her tiny room. For now, she was waiting out of sight outside the meeting hall for her prince. She could hear most of what was going on since no one had bothered to shut the door. Hearing her princes question, she peaked in just a bit. "I'm right here, your highness. Did you have need of me?"
((if either of you want, you can have nobles recoil at Loa being so 'close' to them))

Riordan smiled to Loa, and he smirked atht he nobles disgusted looks and recoils. "Oh no, I just hadn't seen you in some time, and I was merely wondering where you were. And I never got a chance to thank you, for all that you have done for Owen."

Loa glanced down demurely, hesitant to accept any praise in front of the nobles. "Oh... uh... I don't do much, my prince, but thank you. What I do is only my honor and responsibility."

Riordan smiled and gestured for Loa to follow as they left the meeting room heading towards Owens room. "I have no desire to listen to a bunch of stuffy nobles complain while I could spend time with me brother." he said and he looked to his father, "While he recovers. Which he will." he then looked to Jeremy, "You can stay if you want. But we don't want too many people to tax Owens consitution. Especially after an attack." Riordan then looked to his father, "Oh, by the way I fired the doctor. He was a greedy a**, who was using Owens health as a way to keep asking more money of us."
Jeremy nodded, "I'll stick around, but I'll not instrude on any family time you wish to have with Ow.....Princes Erasmus." He said careful not to speak of the young Prince too familiarly with other nobles and Demitri in earshot.

Kennard nodded a bit, thinking of his son. "To dare to insist upon a meeting for such petty reasons..." Kennard shook his head. "And here I thought I had the authority here." Kennard brushed his hair out of his face, shifted his crown, and glanced at Rio. "I'm sure you were right to do so. I'll look into another doctor." Though it was said simply, and Kennard didn't think much of his statement, it was not one he'd allow to be questioned if they questioned it.
Loa obediantly followed, wondering when she might get a moment alone with the prince to tell him of her plan. He needed to be involved. Or at least know, and it's not like she could leave him a note- anyone could find or read that.

((I'm writing on my kindle since I have strep and am quarantined to my room. Forgive any odd auto corrects that it seems to input while I'm not looking...))
Vasilisa smiled as she was led into the beautiful room. She took a seat and smiled at Benjamin who agreed to her question game. "My favorite pastime? That would have to be taking walks around the city. I don't get to do it so often, so when I get to it's nice." She looked out the window to see the garden and the vines. "Your family, what are they all like? I've only had a glimpse of who they are." She wanted to get to know the Marino family. They seemed nice and the children's parents seemed to only want there children's happiness. How she only wished she could have that.

Riordan led the small entourage to Owens room. "Father, you go in first." He said quietly, and his father nodded and entered, once his father was int he room, Riordan threw his arms around Loa in a hug. "Loa, there is no way I can thank you enough. You saved Owens life in a way that I never would have been able to. Thank you. Anything you ever want Loa, ask. It is the least I can do, in exchange for saving Owen."
Jeremy was shocked, but not surprised by Riordans sudden affection shown to Loa. Jeremy, havign noted that Rose, had followed, whispered, "Miss Rose, I have to ask, as Riordans advisor and friend, never speak openly of his affection towards Loa."

Loa squeaked when he hugged her, stiffening and going pink. "Y-y-y-y-your highness!" Loa quieted and listened to him, before shaking her head a little bit. "You need never thank me, my prince." I would do anything for you... After flickering a glance at Rose and Jeremy, and deciding it was safe around them, Loa glanced back at her prince. "But I will need to be allowed to leave- I am heading to Incolumitas to find the Dr's Cael. I have heard that there is a chance they will no more of Owen's illness. I do not know how long I will be."

Sophie listened as Shade spoke and made their way out of town. When he apologized she stopped for a moment. "Please do not apologize for talking. It is pleasant to have some company that isn't dying." she stated simply before resuming her pace. As the paved road ended into trails she responded to his question. "I normally don't keep company for very long. Everyone has to move along there own path which I understand. Not many walk a path similar to mine. However on that note if you're going to accompany be sure to keep up." She finished with a smile as she dashed off into the trees towards Exortensis.
As the royals left with their few companions Demitri stayed behind. He spoke with the nobles listening to the petty complaints and problems. Nothing really worth his time. However it was quite necessary. He would smooth over the nobles a bit to cool their tempers. Usually once they got a chance to complain for a while they would go back to whatever else they had to do. He took a few notes down in his book. By doing this he could minimize the target on the royal families back for their issues.

Riordan sighed and let go of Loa, "I will pay you back, Loa. I promise." he said and when she spoke of fidning doctors who would know about the illness his eyes lit up. "Loa, I give you full permission. If you can find people who know of the disease and can cure my brother, do so. These doctors.....bring them here as fast as you can. I shall be fine until your return." He said giving her one more hug. "You do more for me, than you shall ever realize Loa."

((Posting for Janice))
Rose shot Jeremy a coy look, trying to think of a way to say exactly what she thought. After a few moments she gave a sly smile, and responded, "What are you talking about, Jeremy? I have no idea what you mean." She looked back at the Prince and Loa, a happy smile on her lips, "Loa is but the Princes bodygaurd. Anything that may seem to be affection, is her way of protecting the prince." Of course this was ludicrous, Rose knew well that the two loved each other dearly. The truth of the matter was, the King spoke to the lady before about not upsetting her. And Prince Riordan himself had made it a point not to hurt or her family in any way. She had become fast friends with him, and felt somehow that she needed to repay the favor. The one problem she foresaw, was how little Kyle Alexander were to take this if he saw it himself. Thankfully the time for that worry was not then nor there. And that bridge would be crossed only when needed. For now it was nice to see one moment of true love conquering all.
Benjamin listened to her answer, making a note in his head to take her on walks through the city as much as he possibly could. "Well my dad goes by Tony, though his real name in Antonio. He hates it. He used to work as a personal servant to a very rich family. He was let go around the time that little Alecia was born. To be honest, I have seen that family since. But I think dad misses their daughter." Benjamin though for a moment, trying to remember the daighter. All he could remember was red. He shook his head, continuing, "After that my father was a coach driver, and he saved all of his tips. That's how we are here today. I love my father, he taught me so much. Without him, I wouldn't have the apprenticeship that I have. He met my mother when they were very young and they fell in love instantly. My mother, can sew very well. She made both of my sisters dresses. She's somewhat soft spoken to people she doesn't know well, but she warms up quickly. You've already seen how beautiful she is. I can't tell you how many time I've had my friends ask me if she was my mother or my sister.....and single." he said, rolling his eyes with disgust. "Alecia....shes the princess of the family." he said almost breaking out into laughter from just how true that statement was. "She's very persistent." It seemed like the best way to desribe his youngest sister. "Once she decided something, there is no stopping her. And no way of telling her otherwise. Hopefully one day she'll outgrow it, but I have a feeling that this is how she's always going to be." With a sigh he moved on, "Kyle Alexander is exceedingly shy. And I call him Kyle Alexander, because he does not allow his name to be shortened at all. He's a sweet boy though. Kind and gentle. His favorite passion is caring for plants. Sometimes I think he gets along better with flowers than he does with people. I'm sure you noticed his small bits of affection towards Loa. This is because he tends to gravitate more towards animals, that can't talk back. I believe since Loa and other beastials are part animal, he feels more comfortable around them, He feels they can more understand his quiet nature." Of course, Benjamin didn't see anything wrong with that. "And then there is Rose. She and I are the closest siblings. We share a bond of sorts. She often had terrible nightmares when she was younger, and consequently ended up hurt with these nightmares. Sometimes I still sleep by her bed, to be certain she doesn't end up hurt again. However, thankfully, these nightmares are becoming fewer and far between. People tend to think I'm over-protective of my sister." He stopped a moment, trying to think of how to say this without lying, his mind going back to the first time he found her. Crying, bleeding, almost dying from her first experience of entering someone elses twisted dreams. Finally after a moments, he spoke again. "However, when you see your siblings, crying in agony, unable to control anything around them.......Once you see them in that sort of state, you don't ever want them to feel like that in an everyday situation." He noticed the tenion he had put in the air, and he took a deep breath to dispel it. "What about your Family?" he said with a forced smile, "What are they like?"
Shade seemed relieved. At least she didn't mind his talking. He was even more happy to feel the trails beneath his feet, being able to see with the dirt road. When she suddenly spoke about keeping pace and darted off, Shade couldn't help but smile. If he had been any other blind boy, she would have left him in the dust. But of course, he was no ordinary blind boy. Shade "saw" where she was running and darted off towards her, walking stick, now behind him, no longer needed. With each step he felt the grass and the earth guide him towards her. Easily avoiding any rocks or roots that would get in his way, he seemed to catch up to and even match her pace. "While it is true that everyone needs to set their own pace, it would be rather rude of me to pass up the lady that I promised to escort." with that he kept an even pace with Sophie, running better then most seeing people could.

Loa blinked a bit, and tilted her head. "Pay me back for what, my prince?" She had done nothing that wasn't her duty, or the right thing to do. When he gave her the full permission, she smiled lightly, and nodded. But then he was hugging her again. Loa closed her eyes for a moment, though she didn't dare to hug back. He was the prince, she a mere beastial. "I do nothing spectacular, my prince, but I thank you." Loa paused, then whispered, "If I do not return within a month and a half, my prince, assume some peril has befallen me... And I apologize for it." Loa stepped back, gave a little bow, and gestured to the room. "Visit with your brother, I will wait out here."
(skipness!) Later that night, Loa snuck into Owens room through the window. She had not discussed with her prince whether she should tell Owen or not, because she knew he wouldn't want to acknowledge that Owen might not have any hope left for himself. The window made no noise, and neither did she, but as Loa approached the bed, she noticed that he was awake.
Owen didn't hear footsteps, but he felt someone approaching, and sat up quickly. "Who's there?"
Loa stepped closer, bending down so he could make out her face in the darkness. "It's me, Loa."
"Miss Loa? Why are you in my bedroom? Is something wrong?"
"No, but I'm sneaking out tonight."
Owen gasped and launched himself at Loa, wrapping his arms around her neck. "You can't go!" He whispered furiously. "Rio won't be able to handle it if you leave!"
Loa was touched, and speechless for a moment. "No... No, Owe-" Loa paused and cleared her throat. "Prince Erasmus, I'm coming back. I'm sneaking off to Incolmitas to find you a doctor. There are rumors of some that know something of your illness."
Owens eyes went wide as he stared up at this bird person, this beastial. He'd been raised to regard them as less, but she was risking everything for him. She could be killed for bringing a foreign doctor to the prince, if his dad wished it. Or banished. Or she could die on the trip. Owen knew Loa only obeyed Rio, knew that she felt no great loyalty to the country or royal family itself. If she's doing this, it's not because she's obliged to... It's because she wants me to be better just as much as my father or Rio or mom... Owen tightened his arms, before meant to prevent her from leaving, now as a hug. "Thank you."
"Don't give up, your highness. I know you can survive this."
As Loa crept out the window, Owen watched from his bed. If Loa was doing it, he was sure that it'd go sucessfully. Rio believed in her after all. And he believes in me... So I guess I'm not beaten yet... ~*~
It would take Loa four days to reach Incolumitas, and three more to locate the town where the clinic of Blissany resided. As Loa approached it, she brushed her bright blue hair out of her face. She'd traded her fancy dress for a simple pair of breeches, a blouse, and a vest, along with her pack, but she looked worn out. Her black wings had lost some of their gloss, and every bit of her was coated in traveling dust. But she was in front of the Blissany clinic. Except the doctors weren't there. They had left a week ago with no notice, a note left for their employees, and very little record of anything. Loa had to find the doctors, or someone else to help Owen, before the month and a half had arrived. She couldn't go back empty-handed. So Loa walked down the street, staring at a slightly well-worn map, trying to figure out where they might have gone.
~*~ Slaine sighed and rubbed travel dust out of his eyes. "I can see the castle." He muttered to his sister, sitting in front of him on their horse. "But how does Nye expect to get us in?" After a week of steady travel, Oralee and company- including Slaine- had reached the capital of Exortensis. He could even see the castle from the cover of the pocket of trees they were hiding in.
Oralee glanced over at them, then back at the castle. She remembered with vivid clarity all that had transpired the last time she'd arrived at this castle. "Their King owes me a great debt, and has sworn his trust to me." Oralee turned to them, standing on the ground and glancing around her companions. Along their trip she had fully recovered, and if she wished, Oralee could probably have paid them and let them go on their way. In fact, I should probably offer to do so anyway... But I have grown fond of them. Even though she was still standoffish and unsure how to approach them, Oralee had grown attached to their quirks- like Slaine always being the first awake, and Faelynn the last. Or how Alexandre nobly insisted on taking first watch, sleeping near the fire with his sword out when he did sleep, with Lorne insisting he sleep in the tree branches. Godelieve always seemed to sleep near a tree, and Madisons never-ending honesty had grown to be endearing and amusing- particularly when someone asked for her opinion on their cooking. "I hired you to help me protect the prince from murder, and kidnap him if thats the only way to do so... but if you'd like, any of you are welcome to take the pay now, and go home. I won't drag you into this if you're unwilling, and I appreciate you guys getting me here."
Slaine tilted his head, and smiled helpfully. "But what if you slip up and the prince gets attacked? You'll need me and Fae there. Or if you get hurt. I'm sticking around. You're my patient and I put far too much effort into healing that rib for you to go and get yourself killed."

Kailey yawned as she left her house. It was small, but since she traveled so much she didn't need much more than the basic neccesities of a house anyways. She had visited the Clinic everyday, to see of the cute doctors had returned. She was frustrated and persistent. As she headed towards the clinic to check once again, a girl caught her eyes. a bird beastial. Kailey smiled to herself, and approached, "Oh please tell me that I can be the cat to catch this cute canary." She said smiling to her. "You look horribly lost. Maybe I can help ya?" She said. She was fully armed today. Halberd, whip, dagger, longbow and quiver. She was considering leaving on a trip and wanted to be prepared. "If you're looking for the clinic, its down this ways a bit, but the docs are gone. Just lazy nurses to tell you what you already know."
Lorne stretched, and yawned. "Okay, why was I brought along again? I thought I was here to get in, kidnap the prince, and get out. Now we waltz in like guests or something? I mean, I'm not well liked. Exortensis hates beastials. And I ain't gonna pretend to be anyones servant. But I'm here for the long haul."
Alexandre rolled his eyes at the annoying fox. "I have to agree, as much as I hate to, with Mr. Lorne. Exortensis would not openly welcome us. You perhaps, but what of the rest of us? And you hired me as a bodyguard and fighter. That is what I am going to do, until we complete this mission. A soldier never leaves a mission until it is complete."
Riordan sat in Owens room. He had been telling Owen of the 'adventures' he had gone on with Loa, outside the castle walls. visitng nearby forests meadows and lakes. "And you will go to those same places. Loa will gladly take you. Once you're better, and you're strong, she'll take you." He said though his hope was fading. It had been nearly a week since she left.
Jeremy sighed and glanced in Owens room. He was giving the Princes some brother time. What they had very little of , until now. He had fended off sevral attacks against the princes morals and ethics. As well as several suggestions for young beautiful noble girls. Jeremy regretfully, used Miss Rose as a cover for the Prince. In nothing else, she was a friend and wouldn't want to see him court a woman he cared nothing for. He hoped that Loa would return soon. Owen needed a doctor, or someone who could help his illness.
