Still rubs me the wrong way. But eh. Nothing I can do about it.
And I need a good book to read cat_crying Some of the books I got from Half Priced Books are actually junk

Oh I hate that. I'm currently re-reading a book I got for my birthday last year. It's about geological field techniques. The friend who got it for me is in my geology course and it was seriously the coolest present I got. Even my mum was jealous.

That's cool. cat_3nodding
The books I got from Half Priced were Egyptian Magic by Budge just so I could see how bad stuff got translated. This one that uses Ancient Egypt as a metaphor for your brain and the gods are all metaphors (Yeah kinda rage quited on that one). Egyptian Mythology that is apparently as poorly translated as Budge. And one that was suggested on Amber & Jet when someone asked about ethics. At least I found my copy of Temples, Tombs, & Hieroglyphics by Mertz so I've been trying to start that one.

True. And I stopped myself from buying another "bad" one. I forge what it's called. I'll remember later.

The offerings thread you just put up is going to be very helpful. I really must get myself a couple of notebooks and start writing down helpful things like this so that it's all in one spot and not spread across two computers and several other notebooks. This isn't just Kemeticism I'm talking about either...all of my 'faith'-type notes are here, there, and everywhere. sweatdrop

Glad you found it helpful. I'm in the same boat. I've got stuff on my flash drive, stuff scattered across guilds, crafts from Facebook, and stuff on Zane's computer. At some point I'm going to sit down and start copying stuff into my binder again.

That's one of my projects for these holidays. Sorting stuff out is always kinda fun because it lets me get rid of all the useless crap I don't need anymore.

I might get to writing some of that stuff out tonight after I put away my craft stuff. That is if I don't get distracted. I finally got my hands on a good translation of the Book of the Dead.

Interesting article. I find it a bit weird that it was only turning during the day though.
