☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀"S-Si! I am not allowed to get away with anything!" Florida quickly agreed when Tennessee began to eye him again and hoped the younger state would accept what he saw as one of their normal feuds. Finally Andrew nodded and put away his tomahawks again with a light blush. It was a believable story especially since he'd walked in on these two in more questionable situations in the past... "Sorry," he muttered as Georgia tended to his pets, "I'm a little tense and didn't get much sleep last night..." "Many have tried worse for lesser things," Florida said with a small shrug although he still felt Tennessee was a little too prone to violence at times. Andrew frowned slightly when his big brother brought up military secrets. He wasn't nearly as likely to be sent to battle as Christian but he was familiar with keeping military secrets. When he had been drafted into the Manhattan Project he'd been forced to keep an entire CITY secret from his family. That hadn't been fun nor easy. "It's alright," he said. "I understand. Arizona is pretty strict 'bout that sort of thing." When Christian walked off to care for his pets the former Spaniard turned to the Volunteer. "Why so..." Rutilio's question trailed off for a moment as both states watch the strange rituals of Christian and Brat with a few sympathy cringes here and there. If the battlefield didn't get Georgia then his bobcat might one of these days. ".... As I was saying; why so tense?" "Thunderbirds." "Ah, Thunder... Wait what?" Before Florida's question could be answered Georgia had returned with news about a party at California's and his blue eyes all but sparkled. Had that been what those texts were about? "Alta needs company? He gets lonely so easily," he chuckled. "I don't have any other plans, I guess," Tennessee said thoughtfully. "But is it a good idea before the festival when you're drunk and ain't slept in two days to go partying with California?" With a little emphasis on the California part given his tendency to party pretty hard. ☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀<> <>

He shot a quick look to Florida when Tennessee wasn't looking and mouthed "He's not so bad", referring to the one that Florida had referred to as a "vicious guitar psycho". He really wasn't a bad kid. He was just faster to act than he was to think, which pretty much described all of the American states.
To prove it, Tennessee asked if it was such a good idea to go to a party at California's when he had already been drinking tonight. See, he was a very loving and caring little brother! Georgia just laughed, clearly not worried at all. "I've had alcohol poisoning so many times when I was younger that booze doesn't stay in my system too long, so it's all good. Thanks for worrying, though~! I'll be fine! besides, I'm gonna call Leah and invite her as well and anyone of our other siblings wanting to hang out! it'll be awesome! Who knows! maybe we can get some of the countries to join as well! In fact, I'll send the message now!"

☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀Tennessee's expression wasn't exactly reassured, but he seemed to accept it. Besides, he would be there to make sure his big brother got through the night in one piece... assuming he didn't also get drunk. Which might depend on if any whiskey was available. Andrew never could say no when it came to whiskey. Rutilio was still of the firm belief that Christian's supposedly loving and cute little brother was some kind of raccoon monster at best but let it go for now. Tennessee wasn't currently trying to kill him and that was good enough. His expression brightened like Christmas when Georgia brought up inviting nations. "Cuba! Let's invite Cuba!" he said almost like a kid trying to convince the family to keep a puppy he found. "I know he's Communist and there was that time we almost had a nuclear war with him, but he's a great guy and we gotta invite him!" Rutilio made the biggest, sparkliest begging eyes he could in hopes his favorite hermano would be allowed to play with the states despite the famous hate between Cuba and America. ☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀<> <>

He looked to Florida with a "Are you kidding me?" sort of expression. However, he finally sighed before getting a serious look on his face and pointed a finger at the Floridian. "Alright. But if he tries threatening or beating on any of us, I'm kickin' a** first an' askin' questions later, hear?" He went to his room and very quickly changed tank tops and jackets so that he wouldn't be wearing something torn and bloody before coming out of his room, grabbing his cobbler and outfit for tomorrow, and grinning widely.
"Hey Andy! Mind grabbing some Coke and rum from the fridge? It'd be rude to show up without something, right?"

☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀"Cuba wouldn't do that," Florida said despite the countless times Juan had taken a swing at America in the past. That was different because their nation usually started it and poor Cuba was always the innocent victim in Florida's eyes. He happily texted the nation to see where the older man had wondered off to and if he would meet them at California's dorm for another party. "Right," Tennessee agreed as he went into the kitchen and promptly ran into his horse. "Iris, you're too big to stay in the kitchen!" He complained as he struggled to squeeze around her. They'd had talks about this sort of thing before! Eventually he managed to grab what his brother wanted and hurried to join the others on their way to California's dorm. ☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀✿☀<> <>

The State of Tennessee ☀Andrew S. Hickory☀ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ Tennessee hadn't said much on the way to his dorm to his companions and had walked rather quickly. The sooner they got this all sorted out the sooner he could forget this nasty business had ever happened. Then Georgia would still be his big brother who would never lie to him and California could go back to his normal, happy self, too, once he saw nobody was trying to take his big brother, either. Everything would be back to normal as soon as they stepped into the dorm to find... ... No one. Andrew's eyes widened when he walked through the door only to see a horse, gofer turtle, bobcat and piglet there to greet the states. He could only stand there in stunned silence for a moment before shaking off the initial pangs of anxiety and paranoia. "George? George!" he called as he headed back towards the bedrooms to hunt down his sibling. Tennessee didn't even pay attention to whether or not Landon and Charlotte followed. ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ ♫ ♪ Grade 9 The Volunteer <> <>

★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ ☆ ★ Landon arrived at Dorm 19 just behind the others, trailing Charlotte as his mind zoomed through all of the detective scenes he had ever seen and filmed. In every one of them, the detective had found either some relatively mundane object or a highly incriminating one and drawn the conclusion from there. With that in mind, the Westerner was going to look for anything that was even remotely suspicious, as well as a more blatant object of guilt such as unusual imprints on the sofa or bed.
From experience, Landon knew that impressions fade easily, so he decided to wander over to the sofa first. It was the closest large piece of furniture and, judging by all the disturbed throw pillows, it had been recently used.

Seeing nothing else out-of-place there—and not wanting to look more vindictive than he already was—The Westerner next turned to the closet. When he opened it, he knew he had hit a potential jackpot because inside lay Christian’s duffle bag, unzipped. There were a lot of clothes inside, but after a several minutes of search, Landon reluctantly concluded that there was nothing suspicious hiding there. Not even a hint of oranges hung in the air above the duffle bag.
The Californian was about to follow Tennessee into the bedrooms when a familiar wooden object caught his eye. Landon approached it, his eyes wide with wonderment. That was Rutilio’s old guitar, the same one that the older state had played lullabies on when Landon was unable to fall asleep! What was it doing in Georgia’s room, of all places? Of course, the state was too young to really remember the border clashes that had resulted in Christian’s seizure of the family heirloom. Dazedly, he sat down on the floor, cradling the old instrument in his lap. “Tu guitarra,” he whispered softly.
Landon didn’t know how the song came out. He only remembered plucking a few strings, much in the same way Rutilio had done so long ago, and suddenly, a song spilled out. California hadn’t heard the tune in centuries, and the memory brought a tear to his eye.

North Carolina, USA Charlotte C. "Jones" Freshman Charlotte gave Landon a weird look when he pointed out the indention in the sofa. What is this? NCIS or CSI: Mami or something? She just shook her head, obviously their brother wasn't here at the moment, but she looked in the other rooms anyway. Only the sound of a guitar brought her back to the room to find Andrew and Landon going on about who owned the instrument. She caught brother's glance and walked up to get a closer look. The Tarheel crinkled her nose as trying to recall about when the guitar came about. "Well, I know that after South Carolina and I split, I was still disputing with Virgina over our border by the time Georgia was born. Doesn't seem like it was long after that he had that guitar in his possession. I remember asking him where he got it, because it looks Spanish and just like Drew said, he called it a 'trophy'. I imagine it was some time before Ruitilo was placed into Arthur's care. But Chris has had it ever since. Every once in a while he would play this particular tune."(Out of Cheerwine and Pepsi: )
