"...eya."

It was a disjointing thing to go through, dissipating. Herryk came back into existence in the same pose he'd gone out -- on his knees, braced on one hand while the other clutched his abdomen. He glanced around, taking in the sight of Roch and Riyo. Pulling his hand away from his side, he stared at his outspread fingers.

He hadn't been strong enough. He hadn't been strong enough to protect Freya, to save Lattice.

Pushing himself backwards so that he was crouching on the ground, Herryk braced his hands on his thighs and sighed. He'd failed.

Sending a sideways glance towards the ghoul, Herryk offered a half-smile. There was a little bit of comfort in knowing he wasn't the only one that wasn't out there fighting for their friends. He wasn't the only that had failed. For some reason that made Herryk feel a little better. He wasn't sure what he'd have done if he was the only one here. It wouldn't have been pretty.

Ah, well. He might as well introduce himself.

"Herryk," he said quietly, lifting a broad hand to press palm-down against his chest. His glance moved between the boil and the ghoul. He recognized them both from the hub they'd all spent time in. Talking amongst themselves here had to be better than slowly going insane, right?

If there was only one thing Riyo had gained through attending Amityville for certain, it was the ability to give her name without a snarky comment. "Riyo." The ghoul figured she would respond as simply as the other two, her crimson orbs now fixed on the ground.

"I don't know... But I suppose there are a lot of things I don't know pertaining to this trip." You know, considering most of the students had been left out of the loop as far as what to expect. "... I hope that woman is able to break free." The cat demon mumbled under her breath. No matter what they talked about, her mind was most likely to return to the battlefield... Even though her body couldn't.

Team: Scarlet Sabbath

"Seriously?" Roch asked, jerking and looking at the big guy. "YEAH!" he bellowed. "That makes six that I know of. That means we need--they need four more. They can do it!"

He looked a lot more cheerful, even though he didn't know for SURE that the others could do it, he just figured someone would get lucky! They'd done it six times already! This was a remarkably positive outlook from a kid off the streets. But then again, he was a kid off the streets who now went to a super prestigious school.

IE he was a remarkably lucky little b*****d. Most of the time.

Herryk wasn't feeling as enthused as Roch was, but he did try to smile if only for Riyo's sake. The ghoul seemed to be in the same boat that he was -- filled with doubt. Herryk was also feeling a little bit of shame. Lattice... he hadn't been able to save her, but he could only hope that Freya could.

"Herryk should have done better," he said simply. He should have. The Draugr now sat in silence, pondering over things he could have done differently that might've altered the outcome of the battle.

Riyo had been a little surprised that her feelings were so identical to the loincloth-clad muscle man next to her. It was a silent sharing of the same emotion that she had needed. That no encouragement could really equal. Yes. They both could've done better. Much better. She didn't want to believe that what she had done was her best, because if such was the case, then she was pathetic.

"Well you have fun with that." To Riyo, Roch's confidence was worse than their sulking. "Though I seem to recall all of the Year 2's were still cautious of the false reapers." Did that mean she didn't want to kick the asses of all of those creatures? No, not at all. But the feline knew that even as a second year she probably wouldn't be powerful enough to take on more than one of them.

Her eyebrow raised as she glanced up and saw the determination in Roch's face. If he couldn't wait 'till round 2, that was fine. He could have fun getting his a** kicked... Again.

Team: Stupid Sabbath

"They never touched me," Roch said. "It was the super powerful crazy chick that screamed. Kinda pisses me off that she drags me from my room only to kill me. She's the one I'd be really cautious about. Crazy lady can make you feel like you're floatin' on air, then off you with a scream. Compared to that, those hunters just shoot you and kidnap you and s**t."

Of course, he still wasn't quite sure what they'd been planning on doing to the others. A slight frown pulled at his lips as he thought about what little he'd seen. "They were fightin with FEAR though," he said quietly. "I think. When I get home I'm gonna ask Riley. She'll know more."
