I've got my evac bag ready. I got my laptop bag readily available in case we have to evac when I'm on here.
The winds have shifted slightly so we're in the clear for now. But I'll do my best to be 'safe' I'd rather be out making fire breaks than waiting in class though.

I heard that about Green Lantern. And to be honest I believed it wasn't going to be that great. Kinda reminded me of The Hulk (Ang Lee). The cast looked great, but the rest of the movie did not.
And really, a glowing CG suit? At the least they could bloody have him wear a suit with CG on that, that would at least look slightly realistic and not ridiculous.

The suit is a construct of pure energy. It wouldn't have worked with spandex or leather. I, for one, agree with the CGI costume choice.
They used a motion capture suit for the movie.
And I've gotta be honest, I really couldn't see Blake Lively as Carol Ferris, because I really can't see her being a Star Sapphire in the future.

I can see your point about Blake Lively, she's not entirely suited to comics. Granted she does have some acting chops, The Town is a beautiful example.
And I know why they did that with the suit, it just looked kind of ridiculous to me personally.

See? Told you guys First Class was awesome.
And I also heard about Green Lantern... sucks because he was one of my favorite DC characters (a ring of power than can do pretty much... anything? Hell yeah). But when I heard that, I was like, "Oh no... another one bites the dust."

I've gotta disagree with you completely. That otherworldly glow is what made the suit fit perfectly, and what sold it being a Green Lantern Corps costume for me. Had they gone any other way, I wouldn't have agreed with it at all. In this case, more "real" wouldn't have worked in my opinion.
I've gotta admit, though, the second I saw Sinestro put on that Sinestro Corps ring I nearly jizzed myself.

;_; So, every time I've gone outside today, a huge stormy cloud masks the sun...and every time I come inside and settle in at my computer, the sun is out again.
crying THE SUN HATES ME! /end random little rant.
And on a more related note, I'm not a huge fan of Ryan Reynolds; he's nice to look at and all, but for whatever reason, I don't take his acting seriously...so when I hear he's going to be in a movie, I almost immediately dismiss said movie. I dunno why >< But I'll definitely skip that one now...y'know, until it's free to watch on Netflix.

He's an alright actor, by no means a Matt Damon or a George Clooney. But an alright one.
