"That seems like a good plan to me. However, for now we must go on and help the village. So that we are in their favor." Vivian would create a shadow clone and send it into the academy as she walked along with Belamos. "I'd like to meet him and discuss with him. We will have to see if we can get out of the village and speak with him. Where we won't be heard." Vivian shrugged softly and looked at Belamos. "We have to remain on the down low and help the villagers. This place has gone to hell and we can fix it. A king is only as strong as the people that support him." Vivian would say to Belamos.

While Vivian was speaking to Belamos, her Clone would go inside the academy. The girl would go to a room that had a class of students in the room. Ever since the UHV took over, many of the shinobi were tasked with doing other things, leaving only a few people to help the lower generations. The clone walked into the room and smiled at the kids. ”Hello everyone. I’ll be your teacher today. I’m Vivian I’m sure we’ll become good friends.” Vivian would say to the students. ”Today we’ll be learning some basic jutsu. Starting with one of my favorites. It can be useful for helping guide you and track things. It’s called Norosi.” Vivian would speak to the students, picking up a pencil and doing the jutsu on the pencil, making it glow. An audible ooh could be heard from the students as she did this. ”So the main thing is, adding the chakra into the pencil. Once the pencil is imbued with your chakra you can attempt to sense where it is." The girl would go over the hand seals for the jutsu with the students, allowing them to practice the hand seals. Once the majority of the students had the seals down she would tell them to attempt the jutsu. As the students were attempting the jutsu she would walk around the room and help out students who were having a difficult time with it. ”Don’t worry. Take your time.” Vivian would say to the class as a whole, continuing to help kids who were struggling with it. Eventually most of the students would have the jutsu down. ”Now, let’s play a game. All of you close your eyes and I’ll hide your pencils. If you find it, the jutsu is complete.” Vivian would watch as the kids closed their eyes and put their heads down. Once they were all down, she would walk around the class, picking up each pencil. Once the girl had all of the pencils she would scatter them throughout the room in different spots. ”Okay, find your pencils.” Vivian smiled and stood at the front of the class, watching the students wander around. Some of them would find their pencils sooner than others but, eventually each would have their original pencil. ”Congrats everyone you’ve learned a jutsu.”

”Now that we’ve learned one jutsu we might as well try another one right?” Vivian would say to the class. They were all making great progress. ”How about we learn how to walk on water?” Vivian would smile as the class got excited at the prospect. ”Let’s go outside.” Vivian would lead the class to a small pond not too far away from the academy. ”Alright so what we’re going to do is use this hand seal,” The clone would form a single handseal, ”and use it to channel chakra to our feet. What that will do is provide a stable walking surface on the water. Be careful though or you’ll fall into the water and we don’t want that. However, we do have towels if that happens.” Vivian would form the handseal once again and start to walk onto the pond. ”See not too hard. Just focus on keeping your chakra in your feet with the waves of the water. This way it’ll be stable for you to step on. It has to mold to the water.” The girl would instruct the children. ”For now practice channeling chakra to your feet and we’ll see who can get out here first.” Vivian smiled and watched the students, walking back onto the stable ground to help them out. The girl would go around to each student to make sure that they were each doing the hand seals correctly. Once she was sure they all had the basic concept, she would give the go ahead for them to try. Some of the students got it on the first try but, some of the others had their foot go directly into the water. ”It’s okay to make a mistake. Just adjust and try again.” Vivian would say to them reassuringly, watching them all try again. Over time more and more students managed to do it until everyone of them had got the technique down. ”Good job everyone. We’re making great progress today.” Vivian would say with a smile.

(Mission : : Substitute Teacher +200 ac for specialist)

”Now that we know how to walk on water. How about we learn how to walk up a tree. This one you have to be very careful about or you can definitely get hurt.” Vivian would say as she lead the class over to a group of trees. The girl would then firmly press her foot against the tree and start to climb it about half way up. Once she was about half way there she would look down at the students. ”So for this jutsu, what you’re doing is using your chakra to attach yourself to the tree. It’s somewhat like the water walking jutsu. It takes a lot of chakra control to keep yourself attached to the tree so be careful.” Vivian would walk back down the tree and hand each of the students a kunai. ”Use these to mark the farthest up the tree that you’ve gone. When you’ve reached the top of the tree, we will be finished.” The clone would say before stepping back and allowing the students to go about attempting it on their own. The girl would watch each of them, the trees were smaller so it would be a good practice for them. Occasionally some of the students would walk up asking for help and how to do the jutsu and get individual help. Of course the girl would help each of the individual students the best that she could to get them all able to do the jutsu. ”Good job everyone, you’re doing just fine.” The girl would say reassuringly to the group of kids to keep them confident in their abilities. ”I know you can all do it.” Vivian would then continue to help the individual students that were having a difficult time with it. Eventually everyone of the students would be able to climb to the top of their individual trees.

(Mission : : Substitute Teacher +200 ac for specialist)

”Alright guys we’re gonna learn one more jutsu and we can be done for the day.” Vivian would say. ”It’s a technique to escape from an attack if something gets to close to you. You replace yourself with something near by like a piece of wood or a rock.” Vivian would tell the students. The girl would then have one of the students come up to her and attempt to punch her. Vivian waited until his punch almost landed. She would then flash a seal and disappear, replacing herself with a piece of wood. ”It’s pretty simple but, it tests your chakra control. Everyone pick a partner and try it out.” Vivian would say to the students. The girl hadn’t counted them up but, she managed to get lucky and there was an even amount, so everyone had a partner. Vivian walked around the students, watching them carefully. Some of the student’s punches managed to connect. ”Be careful everyone. Remember you have control of your chakra, it can be a free flowing source, or you can use it to your own personal whims.” Vivian would say to the students as she walked around the class. Occasionally she would stop by a group of them and teach them the proper way to do it. Also having to fix some of the students hand seals. This training seemed to be taking a little longer than the girl expected but, she didn’t mind. Vivian would continue going around to each of the students to train them. She wanted to make sure they were actually learning as they were the next generation of future shinobi. ”If you’re having trouble call me over, it’s okay we all have difficulties sometimes.” Vivian would say to the kids as she walked around. The girl would continue to help out the individual groups until everyone of the students was capable of the jutsu. ”Good job everyone. Class dismissed.” Vivian would say with a smile.

Belamos nodded in agreement with Vivian's words "Speaking of which, I have heard of a possible thieves guild in town. Wanna look into it?"

Vivian would nod softly. "Sounds like a good idea. Getting rid of them would definitely get us some favor with the village." The girl would say. "Where did you hear about them? We'll have to find where their staged and perhaps help with getting information. Then again it'll likely be only us." Vivian shrugged softly.

Belamos pointed south "Last I heard, they were in the Jungle nearby. And, of course Vivian, but then again we are all anybody needs" At this he took off, trusting she would be right behind him

”We are pretty much the only ones that anyone has in this village.” Vivian would say with a sigh started to head toward the jungle that was mentioned by Belamos. The girl messed with her how a bit to get it into a better position. ”I’m sure this will be a good time to test some of my sensor abilities. When we’re closer to the place of course.”

Katherine began with the top of the list of bloodline jutsu. See, the kikaichu had been bonded to her at birth, and they were always with her, living and dying, breeding and evolving. Until today, however, she had not given them much directive. They were a symbiotic relationship, their short lives dedicated to helping her along her own infinitely longer one. She closed her eyes, drowning out the sound of the academy as her ally gave her as much aid as he could. Her body was a hive, her chakra highway the lifesblood of said hive. The kikaichu responded to the instructions she encoded in that flow. It wa slike her father had told her indeed. The insects are her soldiers, her citizens and her slaves all in one. She regarded them, however, more like extensions of her soul. She didn't take long at all to direct them to crawl out from her body. In seconds she was amid a cloud of swarming insects, each a little piece of her. She cleared away from Belamos and his flame shenanigans and instead centered herself near some water she would be using for water training later. [ Destruction Bug host technique & Learn a jutsu]

Going forward, Katherine also had another skill she needed to learn. Well, it was less of a skill and more of a necessity. She gave to her hive a gift, a permanently lowered cap of of her chakra to her first breed, her babies, her kikaichu. She entrusted it to them, permanently, and they would forever be able to handle the level of attack she was going to learn of that level with a bit of time, without having to actually use her chakra. [ Contracted a B rank amount of Chakra & Learn a Jutsu]

The very first skill she read would involve her creating a cocoon of chakra. With almost 0 effort put in, she arranged them into a shell like shape but decided not to put any chakra into them. It was a simple skill, and that would be a waste of her resources. She moved on. [Human Cocoon & Learn a Jutsu]

A single bug attached itself to the roof, and she fired her chakra to this one with a purpose. Within a couple of seconds, the brain of the administrator fired up and suddenly she could feel and hear everything the insect could feel. She directed it to move about and try and see whatever she could, and hear it. And then it came back and she ended to the technique. [Insect Spying]

Next, the bloodline specialist put her hands down on the ground. A mass of chakra extended, connecting point to point like a web all over the place. Within a few moments, she had a bunch of insects, her own and some others that weren't. Useful skill for pulling the horde back, she'd say. [Insect Gathering]

One thing that was always super useful was clone techniques. This technique would make a clone of her bugs, which could relay information back to her if she were to call back the bugs without them dying. Katherine herself didn't do the skill, but she did observe it. [Mushi Bunshin Jutsu]

Now the next skill was a very useful one for hiding and keep ones self from being detected. It was also something that would likely be extremely annoying for everyone in the area to deal with. The bugs would use her chakra to stop everyone in the area from sensing chakra nearby depending on how many she used. She opted out of performing the skill and instead decided to move onto the next skill. [Insect Jamming]

The next skill was a defensive one that allowed her to hide behind a wall of kikaichu. She organized the buzzing little beetles into the appropriate shape, making a wall between her and Belamos, keeping the heat and flashing lights from assaulting her even though there was no chakra being used. She put the insects away and moved on again. It was nice, in a weird way, that she could feel her insects much more intimately, but I don't feel like being poetic with my words so ******** it. [Insect Wall]

Now the next skill actually would put Katherine inside of a kikaichu oriented cocoon that was geared towards helping her birth more of them. She wouldn't be able to do a whole lot while she was using the skill to regenerate her insects, but she would get them back twice as fast when she did so. The girl, however, was aware she'd probably get weird looks training that skill now. [Insect Cocoon]

This next defensive skill required a bit more focus than building a wall. Good thing too, cause Katherine definitely didn't want to end up ending up like trump. She would instead make a dome of swirling insects attempting to defend herself and her allies from onslaughts from enemies. It was quite like the hyuga rotation skill. [Insect Jar]

Now the next skill she actually thought was cool as the dickens. From her sleeve and hand, the insects within her would spiral out and attempt to assault and annihilate whatever she directed them at. The assault would rend and absorb the chakra from whatever she was attacking. Hot diggity. [Insect Spindle]

With finality she read about the most advanced skill her level of skill could produce. The insects, working in tandem together, would spear downwards towards and carry an enemy into the air. From there, they would be drained of chakra, and then slammed into the ground. [Kikaichu Drill]

Now when it came to ninjutsu, there were some prerequisites she needed to get familiar with, the first being the skill involved in making water. The skill could only make up to 1000 gallons of water at the very highest level, but even that could be useful. It was supplemental, and would form the basis for a lot of skills requiring existing water. [Water Manipulation]

Next up was a very useful skill that could turn out helping her in a variety of situations. This skill was the Breathing Underwater skills. Chakra control was important here, as she read. The ability to change the make up of the water as it entered the lungs and be expelled again was key. Chakra was capable of a myriad of things indeed. The handseal portion of learning this skill was skipped. There simply weren't any necessary. It was simply a conversion of water into oxygen. It also happened immediately upon hitting the water. With the knowledge in mind, she would test it at a later date. [Breathing underwater technique]

Next up was a skill that would aid her insects moreso than aid her, and it was the hidden mist skill. For espionage, making the weather change was an easy way to get caught, but the vision it denied was extremely useful. In a situation where the dudes were going to be able to cut off escapes, the vision denial was entirely necessary. As she studied its usefulness, she also began practicing seals. The seals were always the hardest part because her chakra control, from being a specialist, was incredibly high. It still didn't require a whole lot of sealing for her to learn the seals. Quickly, and precisely she performed them to punctuate that she had the, like she would in battle. The last step was molding chakra, water with her seals, to have the mist roll in. Sure enough, the immediate area was blinded, with Belamos mildly annoyed by it. [Hidden Mist]

Now, this skill played right into the next one, with Katherine forcing her eyes to focus. Her insects were active, but she didn't let them crawling along her neck and face in isolated cases bother her as she directed her chakra to her face. The goal was to focus water chakra into her eyes. This would prevent steam and mist from blocking her vision so she could, in theory, use her insects equally useful when most people couldn't see. There were again no seals, but instead just a need for focusing in on her chakra flow. The use of her chakra network was helpful as she pumped her mundane chakra into her upper tenketsu. Slowly but surely she put together the pieces, chakra flow correct. Next her water chakra would mix in, and lastly she would be seeing through the mist. Sure enough, her vision became perfectly clear.

Insects don't like fire. This was a sort of "duh" thing that you could never really expect to argue about. However, there was a water based skill she wanted to learn with the express intent of supporting her fire based ally. Luck would be a factor in getting it off, but even so if she could do so, then Belamos and Vivian could likely burn the whole battlefield with minimal input. She weaved seals like an orbweaver spider. Fitting as the metaphor was, it was taking her quite a bit of time to actually learn. These were basics, but she was new. It was expected she would take a bit of time to actually learn how to do it. Her ability to create a cloud would come into question, and this cloud rained oil. The Black Cloud technique could coveran enemy in oil and under cover of mist it might turn out to be too late for them to escape by the time the oil started to fall. The chakra would be weaved and jettisoned into the air, but it'd be bad form to cause a rainfall inside of the academy. Especially essentially fire rain. [Black Cloud Technique]

Last from the water list that she was interested in, Katherine found a sickly sweet looking skill to learn. She set about learning handseals first. She weaved them together with some difficulty. The technique was a higher level one than all of the others she was used to using. This meant a longer, more complex set of seals was needed. It was sad that so few skills of the Aburame actually needed seals, because she had absolutely no aptitude for them. It lended to her learning these very skills even slower. Still, the chakra she would be mixing on the inside were no different than before. When she went to exhale she'd be blowing liquid from her body. Instead of simply being offensive, this skill offered utility. Walking on the expelled syrup would ******** them over if they weren't prepared to walk over it. [Sticky Syrup Capture Field]

In the academy there was an area with some dirt and sans, and with Belamos at her side she went to stand near it. She took a handful of sand and allowed her chakra to flow into it. She tossed the ball of sand into the air, holding a handseal, and staring out from a second point of view, even if it only had one eye's worth in perception. [The Third Eye]

Belamos had been useful so far, and continued to as he coached her on elemental chakra weaving while she tried to learn the next entry level skill. She could sink into the ground and swim around inside of it using this skill, and that was extremely useful. Within the ground she could send out her small soldiers safely without having to worry about it being too obvious. [Military movement.]

Next was a get out of jail card she was hoping not to have to use too often, but one she'd take no shame in using. She was going to learn this seal set extremely easily. It was a single seal. She praye dmore skills would be that easy, as she detested having to remember seals. Belamos offered a bit of advice for the instant movement. He likened it to shunshin with elemental chakra while showing her the fire version. She began to put the pieces together as she thought about the use of the skill, and put herself in the escape headspace. She didn't want to use the skill, as it'd be a waste of her chakra, but she did need to be sure she could. When she was confident, she moved on. [Instantaneous Body Skill]

Next up was another skill useful for capturing people. She was quite a large fan of slowing people down and causing them to stop. This skill could convert an area into mud. She began working on the handseals when she realized... there were none. Rather than seals, there was simply a clapping motion. She wondered why some skills needed seals at all if some of them didn't. She didn't think too much as she studied the philosophy behind using the skill. Once an opponent was caught, they couldn't walk on it with water walking. That was cool, so it was like the syrup capture field. The downside is she'd be stuck inside of it herself. [Mud Moat]

For her last two, a somewhat iconic duo of sand techniques were her goal to use. She learned the first one, obviously, because it was the setup move. It involved a single seal. What a godsend. The requirements were that there be sand, which could be a pretty big downside depending on where they were, but for a beginner a lot of skills weren't always useful. This skill would snag her target by the ankles first. From there, they would be stuck in place, hopefully long enoguh for phase two. Phase two was the sand rising to fully, and entirely, engulf them. Once engulfed, they'd be stuck there. With the strength of the skill, they'd be breaking bones on it's own which was very good even if somehow part two was stopped in it's tracks. Still, the second half was the important part of this skill, as Belamos pointed out. [ Desert Coffin ]

She hadn't actually learned anything extremely nefarious from her ninjutsu arsenal yet, and she likely wouldn't for a while. This skill aside, of course. With this one, she'd be preying on a person being caught in her desert coffin. Belamos commented that if that was carried out successfully, and the opponent didn't break out, they'd likely end up getting ******** over by this skill more so. After the fact, she would be able to swarm the broken target with insects, or Vivian explode it... or Belamos burn it. She was going to have to focus a more dense packet of chakra into this skill. The amount of chakra going into it was the same, however, it was just focused on whatever the target was. That would attract all of the sand that was also chakratized. This is where the crushing effect came from. The skill reported that the ichibi used the blood of it's victims to grow in strength, but that wasn't relevant here. No, for now she was going to work on some genjutsu. [SAND BURIAL]

Belamos commented on how genjutsu tended to be aimed to cause things to be weird in look, and as such she'd have to make hers seem real in order for them to work. Katherine nodded as she read over the hidden assassin skill. This was a skill that made the user appear to disappear in a cloud of smoke and then reappear behind the target, stabbing them through the heart with a kunai. She would need to learn a set of seals that were entirely foreign to her. It took her a bit to get used to it, and realized how away from her specialty she actually was. Even so, once they were done, she decided she had no real interest in trying this on anyone. The cruelty was something she reserved for enemies. [Hidden Assassin Skill]

Katherine chose Discharge 2 as her next skill, as it was not a necessary prereq to get the first. Belamos commented on how to focus the chakra, even though it was almost entirely theoretical. She started with seals. Always witht he handseals did she take longest. Belamos didn't have good advice for that besides to shoot mroe fire as he practiced his own skills. She didn't too much enjoy how different genjutsu was from the phsyical jutsu creations of ninjutsu. She was far and away a Yang type of fighter as opposed to a yin one. Even so she would eventually get the seals down. The ability to distract was another skill she would abuse against an opponent. This one would give them jolts of extreme pain every time they moved. [Discharge 2]

Spell of the Oleander. Belamos gave her more wise council on handseals here. She was frustrated at the struggle, clearly, as it was the number one barrier to her learning skills. He offered help with remembering patterns. Honestly she hadn't realized that similar types of skills needed similar seals. Even if they weren't the same seal to seal, they would be appearing together in some noteable sequences. She wouldn't even need handseals for this skill, she realized muvh to her own chagrin. She was going to blow paper or leaves or something similar into the face of her target. From there, the genjutsu took hold from it and would make them think they had been afflicted by an oleander poison. [Spell of the Oleander]

The last skill was one of the best kind. She would use it to hold an opponent still, and because, once given, her insects would be able to carry out orders without her focusing it'd be even more dangerous. The skill needed seals, it just didn't need the kinds of handseals that would be meaningless. That's right, she didn't need to learn a single handseal actually. It was just bravado, a show put on if you would. Her fingers would need to be visible by the opponent however. She would have to focus. Hard focus in fact, not the regular kind; straight advanced focus. Subtle waves of chakra would need to hit the mind of her opponent. It'd hold them in hypnosis, unable to move. The sad thing is that Katherine, too, would need to be held in place without doing anythign to break her focus at all. If something did, the skill would end but so long as she kept her focus and they kept their eyes on her they'd be stuck. For her purpose, that meant they'd likely end up getting nuked or turned to ash.

Now complete, she turned to her teacher-friend-CO and simply said: "Ok, learned all I can."

It was his time to train. He needed to go back to learn some basic techniques in order to learn the augmentations of higher levels. This attack was a more concussive blast than anything, but thankfully, due to his power over fire, it held an explosive force. He weaved through the hand signs and quickly gathered the chakra in his hand. It only took a second for the fire to materialize perfectly. With minimal force he launched it out. The ball flew 30 or so feet before making contact with a wall and detonating. While the actual fire in the wall was minimal, there was a lot of force damage. Sweet. One down, quite a few to go.

Another basic technique. He weaved through the hand signs and brought his hand to his lips. As he did so, a large fireball was exhaled from his mouth and broke upon the ground before him. Simple. Another one down.

When his apprentice informed him she was done, and had learned all that she could, he spun his spear once in response "Well, let's see how far those skills can take you" Belamos dropped down into an attack stance, the tip of his spear pointed outwards towards Katherine. Belamos would sharply intake a breath and then suddenly exhale seven tiny fireballs. Three would head straight for Katherine while the other 4 would arc at various angles towards her. Belamos waited for her to dodge, hoping her reflexes were fast enough to dodge such a simple attack. If so, he would step it up a bit.

Katherine was not slow on the draw as her teacher spun his weapon. She held the spiked brass knuckles, slipping her fingers through each loop. With a small injection of her chakra, and a nod, the swarm freed itself en mass, leaving only 500 of her total insects within her body. At his inhale, her reflexes kicked in, forming no seals at all but directing the hive to spin about her body in a dome forming the Insect Jar technique to stave off every one of the fire balls. Of the 2000 insects currently flying, it was the outer 1000 that formed the dome while the rest oriented themselves about her arm, pulled back to wait for the last of the balls to hit, after which her hive, overpowering as it was to the equal ranked technique such as it wouldn't lose any part of the swarm, would disperse again. Turns out, his fire was extremely potent as well, so that swarm was down 250 insects. What he'd see after the balls had been blocked was the other half of the swarm spiraling out towards him, threatening to engulf and assault his chakra. The counter clockwise rotation would close on him fast, and she already had a plan for the rest of the hive. Beside her, a clone made of her insects would coalesce, standing just behind her.

Belamos stood with his spear in his hand as his attack was dodged. Her use of her techniques were as skillful as Vivian's control over sensory techniques or even his control over fire. It was impressive. He made little motion to dodge as the wave of insects coalesced upon him. As they got closer, he scowled ever so slightly. These vermin disgusted him, and while he could appreciate their uses in combat it would not do to have one of these creatures touch him. With the appropriate signs weaved, a whirlwind of wire appeared around him with Belamos at it's center. None of the bugs would be able to touch him while he was encased in this. Still, while he was out of vision of Katherine it was prudent to use that to his advantage. Belamos planted his spear into the ground and spread both his hands out, palms outward, on either side of his body. "Incinerate..."

From the outside of the vortex Katherine would suddenly see a bright orange light emanate from the bugs slightly leading the two large pillars of flame which destroyed both sides of the vortex. If she was slightly distracted she might even miss the third, slightly bigger, jet of flame roaring straight towards her. It seemed that Belamos was taking it up a notch

The wall of fire that erected did indeed stop Katherine from seeing whatever his action's further would be. As the torrent of fire erupted, a fair amount of the insects who had in fact been involved were lost, but a quick pull back from her hand would cease the attack and bring the survivors back. The clone decided on a course of action, not moving from behind the original as it formed it's handseals. Katherine herself was bracing for whatever could come from her opponent when the fire cut through his own geyser of flames. Two flew wide, carving a path through the sides. Her insects began the defensive response just as they had before. Immediately, the roar of fire coming on was cut off by the swirling insects. While the defense did hold, it would lose a significant amount of the soldiers holding it as a result. The clone's seals, however, completed and just as the fire and insects completed their colision a mist rolled in over the battle field. With the vision her opponent had presumably cut off, the clone sprinted one way, moving through the bug spiral unabated as she herself was made of the same material, with Katherine maintaining her own defense against the fire. As the clone sprinted towards him, as long as the visual cover held she would aim to shove a chakra infused fist into his chest with the aim to shut off the fire if he were going to maintain it and otherwise be painful for him to take to the chin.

Belamos frowned at another failed attack. Well, not failed, not exactly. Her toolkit was quickly becoming exhausted. These bugs were dying by the hundreds and her shield was quickly running out. As soon as his third jet of fire connected with the insect shield she created a thick mist mysteriously rolled in. Acting quickly, Belamos used the cover of the mist to quickly grab his spear and cast two jutsu. As he held his weapon and they were rather simple techniques, he was able to forgo his typical hand signs. He created a clone of himself which stood at the ready while he used his Instantaneous Movement technique to disappear in a small puff of flame, reappearing a few meters behind where he remembered Katherine to be. He approached the women's location from behind, and lo and behold there she was. Moving with the speed and precision that hundreds of hours training with the spear afforded him, he dashed to Katherine and leveled his spear at her neck. He jabbed out with all of his might and would stop an inch from his target.

"Good fight, Kat"

He kept his blade pointed towards her, awaiting her response and her yield. If she wished to continue, he would oblige her, but he was beginning to grow weary of holding back.

The rotating insects around Katherine had blocked her sightline just as the Mist had done to him. Still, her clone hadn't had her vision denied and could see everything as it happened. When he took up his spear, she briefly thought he too could somehow see through the mist. She braced to have to defend herself and attack at the same time, but instead he burst into fire and disappeared. The real Katherine had failed to make a scout overhead, so she hadn't seen him do it herself, and as such he got the drop on her. Lesson learned. Shed make sure to never let that happen again, even if she didn't yet know exactly how he'd done it. She held out a hand, calling back the insects to stop them from buzzing and making the noise they were filling the dome they were in with. Katherine called her clone back last, letting the memories it had formed to close into her mind. She turned o him, moving the pointy end of the weapon from her face casually, eyes not particularly focused on anything from behind the black shades. If it was a good fight, she didn't really care much for. She hadn't actually thought she could win: she was fresh out of the hospital and he'd been doing his ninja thing for quite a while after all.

Still she would remain neutral in her response. "I suppose so. At any rate, I believe I have things I was supposed to do when I completed my training?" She turned from him, already allowing the maintenance of her insects to begin. She'd lost a lot, but that was neither a real issue for her nor one the hive was concerned with. So long as the queen lived, there would always be more kikaichu.

On that note, she entered a classroom far from where ninjutsu was practiced."I'm Katerine, here to teach the class on kekkei genkai?" she told the teacher who had greeted her. She was given the floor and looked at the room of bright eyed students. "Hello students. Let's get right down to it, shall we? In the shinobi world there are a rare but powerful ninja who are born with hidden, innate powers. These individuals are known as having kekkei genkai, and the power of a kekkei genkai is usually unique. Furthermore," she went on, explaining how chakra natures melded within kekkei genkai welders, or how their genetics often interacted with their chakra to form things like Byakugan. She fielded questions, answering the ones that she could while also leading them to never think those without a kekkei genkai weren't just as valued in an army. In fact she seemed to want to foster all of them, regardless of how strong their blood. She sort of hammered down the point that having a bloodline meant you needed to work even harder to make sure you didn't fall behind, or to maintain a position ahead of everyone else. Too often was it that people essentially gave up before they really had a chance to get started if they found out some guy spat super lighting from his mouth as opposed to regular lightning. She wasn't one to talk however. [Substitute Teacher + Exam II]

She moved on with the lesson once her students for the day were sufficiently well versed for their level. She left some stuff out, tried to avoid specifics because she herself didn't have a kekkei genkai, she just specialized in her clan techniques. When the time came that she would move on to the second half of her lesson to the bright eyed students. Some of them would jump, others go "ooooooo" as a small, nigh on insignificant number of her insects crawled from her sleeve, orienting themselves along the woman's arm. "Clans that form, the obvious one here being the Aburame, aren't born genetically ahead. Rather, they have secret techniques that alter how they fight entirely, and they have trade secrets centered around their ninja arts. Aburame, for instance, give their children to the kikahichu and when they learn how, they can command them to do combat for them or run espionage. We learn, and have become accustomed as a people, to the use of poison in some cases. From my foray into the world of the Nara, they tend to favor strategy and shadow play. They form incredible support oritened offensive ninja, and they deny area access well. They function like normal ninja who have secret skills and value their brainpower over raw explosives." She spent the rest of the class period in a sort of open forum, asking for more questions and explaining the differences. At the end of the class, she dismissed the students and left notes for the teacher on who may or may not need a bit more help before heading out to go catch up on the work that had been given to her by Belamos. He stood at resting position as Katherine got up and vanished, off to handle more missions. Ironic, she thought he to be too energetic and she was the one with the limitless supply of energy. Ah well. It was time to get back to training, he still had quite a ways to go.

Belamos sprung into action, creating a clone and taking up his blade once more. He clashed with the copy, rapidly exchanging blows. As he fought, he went through the hand signs of his technique. [1/5] He needed to be able to perform this jutsu in the midst of combat, so combat was his teacher. He ducked under a spear thrust and continued with the hand signs. He was anxious to be able to perform this without them. [2/5] Belamos backpeddled as his Ember Clone advanced, weary of the bite of the spear. He finally weaved the last sign and stood his ground as the clone charged. [3/5] As the Clone neared, he released the jutsu and created a wave of fire. The fire spread outwards and hit the clone dead in the chest. The force sent the clone flying back. [4/5] As he looked up, the ring expanded outwards, destroying his surroundings and the clone entirely. It was a simple idea, but a powerful technique. He would be glad to have a defensive technique under his belt.[5/5]

The next technique was a Taijutsu Augmentation. He would be getting to the part very quickly. He needed to learn this in order to keep ahead. [1/5] A King led from the front and he was not about to let Katherine and Vivian get ahead of him. Looking down at his hand, he attempted to build up the chakra for the technique in his palm. [2/5] Katon was unique in that it was the most primal element. Fire, by nature, was representative of emotion. His anger and ambition outshone everything and, thus, it was from those sources that he drew his strength. [3/5] Thinking about the future, and the goal on the horizon, his passion raged in his heart. He channeled that power in an outward form and suddenly his hand erupted into brilliant orange and red flames. [4/5] Looking down at his enflamed palm, he smiled "I will win this war!" He called out as he slammed his fist into the ground. All at once, the surrounding area erupted into flames, his power rising.[5/5]

The next technique would test his mastery of Katon Chakra. He read over the associated text multiple times in order to assure that he had the necessary requirements down for sure. It was going to be a true challenge. [1/5] He has to harness fire and condense it. Not just let it rage and direct it as he normally did. He would do it, he would tame the fire. [2/5] Concentrating on his palm, he created the fire as normal. He compressed it as far as he could. The effort made him sweat. [3/5] It got to the point where he did not feel like he could push it any more. The more he pressed, the denser the material became. Eventually he threw the technique, letting the small ball impact a pillar. [4/5] It splashed against the rock with a satisfying blast, but the real impact came a second later as the compressed explosion rocked the landscape. It was...certainly effective. [5/5]

It was time to move on to projectiles. He needed more area of effect ninjutsu and it was with that thought in mind that he learned his next technique. It was a powerful, wide range, jutsu. [1/5] Flipping into the air, he landed atop a pole. He rapidly performed the hand signs. Belamos would then grab his wrist as he built up the chakra. [2/5] It was a complex technique, but similar to the last one. Instead of explosive force, he concentrated on widespread fire. [3/5] He needed this thing to be a tiny inferno. When he finally got to the point where he felt like it was where it needed to be he smiled and tossed it at the ground. [4/5] As soon as it impacted the tiny ball stretched into a wide ranging inferno. The area around him began to burn away but stopped as he cooled the flames of his attack. His strength, once again, grew. [5/5]

The last technique he would learn would be a play on the fireballs of earlier. It was much more powerful, but may be a useful offensive technique. [1/5] He weaved through the hand signs and took a deep breath. [2/5] He exhaled and brought his hands to his lips. Three large blasts of fire sprouted out from his body. [3/5] The three dragon shaped projectiles sprouted off and hurled towards a couple of target dummies. They were quick, powerful and dangerous. Perfect. [4/5] The impact left small craters in the landscape. He was pleased. This would be very helpful in the coming battles. [5/5]

Belamos ended his training session by volunteering to teach one session of classes. Of course, the instructors constantly begged him to do so. He finally broke down and agreed. He stood at the front of class as the young shinobi filed in, one after they other. They had heard of him before and marveled at his red armor and matching spear. "Good day" He said to the gathered students, looking over their young faces "Today, we will not be lecturing, but having class outside" At this, their faces lit up. Belamos escorted the children outside and presented them all with a candle and a scroll. He, too, took up a candle. "Today we will be practicing basic Katon Ninjutsu. I have been informed by your instructors that all of you have some ability to perform it. Time to put up or shut up" Belamos placed the candle ten feet away and demonstrated the technique. By snapping his fingers, a small flame was created which lit the candle and instructed them to do the same. He watched for an hour as the kids struggled. Belamos gave pointers where he could. There were some who got it quickly and others who had absolutely zero potential. Both of those groups he sent home early and instead focused on the kids who were almost there. It was slow going, but eventually the majority of them completed it. He felt something akin to pride. Sending them home, he reported his success

The first thing Katherine did upon reentering the academy was null the old contract she had signed with her insects, and instead she made a new one, instead sacrificing a higher amount of her total chakra to them to appease them and allow the insects to carry out her orders without her payment. She saw Belamos, once more, practicing his fire skills and decided to shy away from where he was. Instead, she picked her own area to practice a few more of her Aburame skills.

Of the two, the first was the insect sphere skill. It was a quite nefarious kind of skill, if she was being honest. All it took was her spreading out her insects around an opponent and having them quickly come togehter. A target trapped in that sphere would have a hard time surviving for very long. In addition to thousands of kikaichu tearing at them, the same bugs would be draining an extremely high amount of chakra compared to the usual. This chakra would replenish the insects potentially lost a lot better too. The skill usually prevents movement, as well. If a target does move, then the bugs would simply follow after them. All and all, as she watched a small scale of her hive perform the skill, she realized exactly how devious and terrifying they could be. [Insect Sphere]

Moving on, the next of the two skills was fairly similar. It involved a spreading of several thousand insects again, effectively a large portion of her hive. Once outside, they'd need to be directed where to go. This one had them, instead of a sphere, form an entire swarming tornado of destruction. If not careful, an opponent could easily end up surrounded and consumed by the kikaichu, torn apart. This skill didn't have a chakra draining component, and was more designed to annihilate than to whittle away at. Katherine feared for the enemy caught in this attack. She would do her part to hold the insects off from utterly destroying someone if she wanted them not to, but once they got going it'd be tough trying to make them stop. Even so she enjoyed the thought of her babies getting in and destroying some poor UHV soldier. [Insect Tornado]

On that note, she called the insects back, a few still crawling about her exposed skin in isolated patterns. She closed in on Belamos, keeping a safe distance before making a request of him that shouldn't have been too much to ask. "Impressive as always," she commented to him. Katherine was far from one to give baseless comments. The girl barely spoke. She removed her glasses, cleaning dust and a bit of smudge from his practice from the lenses. That must have been what the drone insects were doing... flicking dust off of their own accord. Little perfectionist maintenance men. Still, lilac irises found themselves resting on him. He was very much an impressive specimen of human potential, and it was evident he was dangerous just by looking on the man with his weapon and demeanor. Katherine's form was toned, a well rounded fighter with a predilection for being close to her tagets had given her a strong constitution hidden below her somewhat baggy, asymmetric outfit. She was smaller than him, and quiet in everything. She even fought in a manner unassuming to look at that was deceptively strong. There was a place for his style, and it was a respectable one. Similarly, there was a place for Vivian, who was probably apt enough to take either of them out as well. As she mused on this, she spoke again as a follow up. "Do we have time for a short trip across the pond before we carry out the mission you wished aid with? I need something to hold the extras in," she spoke concisely, and at the word extras she pointed to one of her insects, just barely visible as it crawled from her hair, tied in a bun held by ornate chopsticks, into her shirt. She was utterly apathetic to how people were averse to the sight of insects.

Just as he finished the last of his training, Katherine reappeared. He exhaled with a huff, a small jet of flame shooting out of his mouth as he did so "Oh. Hey." He said as she arrived. Katherine's compliment didn't really register with him. It was to be expected. Commenting on his skill was akin to commenting on the moistness of the ocean; it was always assumed to be a constant. She quickly made the reason for her intrusion known by requesting a visit to the shopping town of Takumi. At this, Belamos did in fact show some outwards hesitation. The last time he was there...well, it hadn't been pleasant, that was for sure. Still, that was in the past "Yeah, sure." He said, placing his spear on his back. He would then gesture to Katherine, flicking his pointer and middle finger "Make sure to keep those covered up" He said, in reference to the bugs "There are many peasants who hate shinobi and would love to nothing more than to mount your pretty little kunoichi head on a spike"

He shifted his gaze out the window, taking stock of the time. It wasn't quite afternoon yet, so it was still possible to leave today "Go home and gather supplies. I'll meet you at the gates" At this Belamos would walk out of the Academy, leaving via the wooden door on the side of the building.
