"I'm glad to hear that," Haradhel laughed. "Well, Arahad, since you're still here and your pancakes seem to be quite good today, why don't you make up a few more batches for everyone else for breakfast?"

There was a twinkle in her eye as she looked at her youngest son, who smiled back at her sheepishly.

"Sure," he agreed. "Since I'm still here."

He finished off the last few bites of his own and got up to start making some more of the mix.

Haradhel grinned at Miyuki. "I like anything I don't have to make myself," she winked at her.

Arahad laughed. "Nana just needs a break from working sometimes," he grinned. "Isn't that right?"

Haradhel chuckled softly. "Indeed. Ah ... and while you're at it, Arahad, we have two extras for breakfast. Three, actually, but I'm not sure if the youngest is eating solid food yet."

Arahad looked up from his mixing bowl and stared at her. "Huh?"

Arahad blinked. "I didn't even know Ulrich had a sister," he replied. "I know his parents moved on millenia ago, I wasn't aware he had family left here."

"He didn't," Haradhel smiled faintly. "They came back."

"Ah ... that explains it." Arahad nodded and began to cook another batch of the pancakes. "I'll make sure to have enough."

Haradhel nodded. "They were coming down just behind me, they're probably in the dining room," she answered. "You should wash your mouth before you leave the kitchen though, you have jam on your face."

She nodded at a bucket in the corner that had a cloth hanging over the edge. The bucket was empty; but she waved her hand over it and suddenly it was filled with warm water.

Haradhel had been about to head back to the dining room herself when Miyuki's voice called her back, and she couldn't help but chuckle softly. It had been decades since anyone had taken special notice of her gift - it was simply taken for granted nowadays.

"Thank you," she grinned. "That's a part of my magic - I'm an elemental summoner, so I can summon any of the four elements. Wind, fire, water, and air. It makes some things very easy, I have to say."

Haradhel smiled at Miyuki. "You should ask your father to show you his magic sometime," she told her. "It's quite interesting, really."

She held one hand out to her, inviting her to join her on her way to the dining room, where the others were.

To be fair, Earendil was grinning right back at Lin. Elrohir was sitting across the table and laughing at the two of them. He was tempted to say something to tease them, and at the moment he was mulling over the choice of whether or not to do so.

Haradhel saved him the trouble.

"I think one of the reasons newlyweds usually disappear for a while to be on their own is so that by the time they end up back with other people, they've stopped making doe eyes at each other," she said expressionlessly, taking a seat next to Elrohir. "And by the way, Arahad is treating us to breakfast. Little does he know that includes clearing the table and doing the dishes."

She grinned at Elrohir, who couldn't help but laugh out loud at that.
