Luke smelled Alex's scent, and smelled the lavender and other such scents as well. On an impulse, he walked into the bathroom, having done away with what little remained of his torn and tattered t-shirt.

As the servant had said, this guest room was made especially for those healing with burns. The main room was comfortable, but the bathroom was the main attraction. It was surprisingly large, and circled around a round in-ground bath. Shelves were lining the walls, filled with medical supplies, oils, and lit scented candles where the aroma was coming from. The ceiling was a large window that allowed the room to be naturally lit. (How that was possible when there were several other levels to the building was a rather good question.)
The bath was surrounded with small raw jewels and gems that were imbedded in the floor. In the bath, lying against some cushions and mostly submerged in lavender colored water, was Alex. Her eyes closed, possibly asleep, and for the moment completely oblivious to Luke's presence.

Luke blinked, and then he shifted around uncomfortably. He didn't want to disturb her, but he still wanted to see how she was doing... So he moved to leave and wait outside.

He did so a little too late. Alex sighed as he reached the door and caught his scent. Carefully, she opened her eyes and turned her head to look over at the door.
"So how's she doing?" one of the servants asked the woman who had been seeing to Alex.
"Much better. The soak is helping her to heal up nice and quickly." the woman replied, gathering some laundry. "Best not to disturb her though. At least not with her powers. The water will make her extra sensitive and relaxed. Some people get headaches with too much noise or light. Others sleep for hours. And others seem rather intoxicated. Hard to tell how she'll be feeling."

Luke hadn't noticed that she had caught his scent, and so continued out the door, waiting outside for her like a gentleman.

Alex watched him until he disappeared from her line of sight completely. She smiled a bit, then turned her head back around to nod off again.
About ten minutes later, the servant came back with an arm full of laundry. She looked at Luke as she passed and gave him a small nod. "You're not waiting on the missus, are you? It will be a while. Ya might as well head to one of the lounge areas and make y'self comfortable." she said as she headed into the room, closing the door behind her.

Luke gave the servant a smile and an appreciative nod. "Thank you very much, ma'am," he said to the servant, "but I was actually waiting for Miss Skyler."

"Ah." the woman replied with a nod. "Well, that might be a while too. She should be all good and healed up by now, but she'll need to be rubbed down with some oil to make sure nothin leaves a scar. Get her into some fresh clothes. Then we'll see if she's up for company or just wants to sleep. People react differently to the treatment."

"Guh--"
Luke's eyes widened slightly, and his cheeks turned pink. "R-- rubbed down with oil..?" he asked weakly, one of his eyes twitching.

"Well yes." the servant replied, as though there were nothing wrong with that. "The bath heals her up all nice and good...soaks into her skin and heals her up. But the oil will be needed for the outer layer of skin. Don't want it to leave a burn. Poor thing. Her whole back's been burned, as well as her middle. Arms and legs too. Her tattoos will probably be worse for the ware, but another oil down should bring them back out." she said, then went about gathering some towels. "Best to just do a full rub down than just the burns. Let it soak in all over and help her skin get over the trauma." she said, then paused for a moment in thought. "Honestly, should probably massage her back. Get her muscles working after the bath. The water tends to relax the whole body."

Luke, not having a proper response, just looked at the servant, totally dumbfounded.

The woman looked back at him for a beat, then smiled and turned to head into the bathroom. "Well, best be getting her up and out. Not sure how close you two are, but ye can either wait in here, or come in and help. Most people tend to go limp in the water." she said, then disappeared inside the bathroom.

Luke just stammered and stuttered like a complete idiot, saying something about "not polite" and "embarrassing". Ultimately he decided to just wait.

Quite some time passed after the servant had entered the bathroom. Finally the woman walked out, drying off her hands and smiling. She glanced back up at Luke and gave him another nod. "She's fine. And decent if that's what ye were worrying about." she said with a grin.
