Mobster Lobster Why the hell would someone be proud of some stupid story about yourself ******** a Jrocker? It's gross. Anyone else who would want to read it is repulsive as well. And I hate it when people defend themselves by saying something like, "I don't care if people think I'm a freak, I'm going to do it anyway. Blah, blah, blah." That's a stupid excuse and doesn't justify anything. have you read my story? NO! so keep your premature judgements to yourself please. and it's justification in saying "******** YOU!" i really don't care WHAT you think of me, nor do i care what you think about the stories i write, you don't have to read it!!!. In the future, do yourself a favor and READ something BEFORE you judge it, in doing so, you will realize that in the fics written by Brenli and myself, there ARE NO SEX SCENES!!!! domokun ...get a life... stare

I don't like it. I was making general statements that don't really refer to you or Brenli. If you really want me to talk about your story though, I'd be happy to. biggrin You're the one that brought your story up, I would have been happy to avoid mentioning it because I wouldn't want to hurt anyone's feelings too badly. The comments about sex scenes, were referring to other stories, of course. (Many other Mary Sues. All of these rants are really about them in general, if you really want to make it personal, whatever.) ANY romance between a J-rocker (or whatever) and a Mary Sue is horrible, no matter what degree it's taken to. Any you're telling ME to get a life? lol I'm not the one writing stories about my "alter ego" and a J-rocker.

... Okay, so I HAD this totally elaborate, well-written response concerning this whole arguement, but Gaia doesn't like me anymore, kind of like my father, so I guess I'll have to stick to the shorter version.
WE ALL HAVE OUR GOD DAMN OPINIONS, OKAY? THE LOBSTER DOESN'T LIKE MARY SUES? THAT'S OKAY. HE'S GOT GOOD REASONING BEHIND IT AND I DON'T WISH TO CHANGE HIS MIND, ANYWAY. I TAKE NO OFFENSE. HE DOESN'T LIKE WHAT I'VE WRITTEN. THAT'S OKAY. I CREATED THIS THREAD FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF DISCUSSING CALMLY AND POSTING LINKS TO FANFICTION IN GENERAL. YAOI, SHOUNEN-AI, MARY SUE, OR WHATHAVEYOU... HEY, THEY'RE ALL ALLOWED HERE, AND HERE'S WHAT I WOULD LIKE IN EXCHANGE:
1.) AN HONESTLY GOOD, HARD ATTEMPT AT MAKING OPINIONATED POSTS OF A... KINDER NATURE?
2.) THE REALIZATION THAT SUCH OPINIONATED POSTS ARE NOT A DIRECT ATTACK ON AN INDIVIDUAL, AND TO LIGHTEN UP, BECAUSE CHANCES ARE - HEY! YOU DON'T KNOW THIS PERSON IN REAL LIFE! WHAT A FOOCHIN' CONCEPT, NE?

i was once working on a Diru fanfiction.....Kyo drank this drink that Kaoru made...and he shrunk......XD
he slipped between the cusions in the couch on the bus and went through this weird portal and ended up in a land ruled by a hide plushie.....the rest of diru get freaked out and kaoru sends toshiya, die, and shinya after him...
anyways...it was crazy....i never had time to finish it though

For me it's not a matter of preference, (although I don't like Mary Sues that much either) but whether or not the story is written well. I like descriptive, graphic fanfics in where you can actually imagine it happening in your head. Nice and tangible. xd If the story can make you feel and understand what is going on, then it's a very well written one.
Plots are also a good thing too. 3nodding

Yes I WAS angry because confrontation between two people that do not know each other is pointless. Unless you're, like... war leaders, or something to do with the government. But we're not. Unless you're talking about the Church of Kyo.
I agree with Takarai. Nothing spoils everything for me like finding a story with a good story but terrible descriptors. It makes me feel bad... Like I'd wanna edit it, or something. 'Course, every time I look at my own work I feel the same way... I think I might be too perfectionistic or something.

I like editing people's stuff. I can always make it sound better. I guess it's easier to make things sound better when you're not busy thinking of ideas at the same time. xd
But, I prefer writing them myself in the end. (Because sometimes people have bad ideas and a vast amount of Baroque language can't save it!
