Omega - Looks like someone needs waffles. Poo poo poo.
Christian stood there, doing his best to chew up the orange in his mouth, but the peel was too tough. Struggling to swallow what he had bitten off, he decided to throw the rest of it away before meandering through the house. Sometimes it was fun wandering like a wild animal on the Serengeti.
After making his mind up on what it was he was going to do, he looked down to the bowl on his hip which was infinitely lighter. Where did it all go? Did he eat it all? Christian started to feel a little down about that… he didn’t even get to eat any of the grapes. There was still one apple left though. He wished he knew why it was that he was so hungry, but he wouldn’t argue with eating a boatload of glorious fruit.
Without wasted effort, Christian walked over to the sink, placing the now large, empty bowl down before heading out. But not before he picked up the lone apple and began munching on it. He walked by Sophia and Raine briefly, noting that the waffles Raine made smelled absolutely amazing. He had to fight a serious urge to just snag a waffle and run away like a mad fiend.
He had just made it back to the doorway when he heard Sophie call out his name… and tell him that there was a proposition on the table. Christian had taken a rather large bite from his piece of fruit before he heard her say his name, all he could do was turn his head around and answer with a rather audible “Hmmm?”
After listening to what Sophie said… how could he say no? Especially when she looked so adorable standing there, biting her bottom lip. He quickly swallowed what it was he was chewing on before speaking. Talking with a mouthful of food was most assuredly rude.
“Of course I wouldn’t mind,” Christian said, “Who would pass a chance to spend time with two lovely ladies such as yourselves.” The smile he wore on his face was beaming, but… in his mind, he was tripping over himself. Did he really just say that? Really? It wasn’t that he was lying when he said that, it was that he never really would say it, both of them being his friends or not. That thought bounced around in his head for a brief second before it seemed to fall out of his ear and it just wasn’t there anymore.
“If anythin’…,” Christian said, his voice hushed a bit, “I can help y’all get that stuff to where you’re goin.”

Alpha: It's not right
Things just weren't right. Her brain was literally screaming at her that things weren't right. But the high, the high was blocking it all. Bella's tone was something she wasn't used to. A small headache ensued whenever her mind was picking these things up the she would normally allow herself to see.
"Bella, love," She said calmly and looked at the pieces of glass, "I feel weird that things feel weird around here and I don't care. I always care. And you always love. And those guys shouldn't be using their power.... the hell?"
She looked up in time to see what Eli was doing. Her brain was quick enough still to know she had to shield Bella. When Eli lost control and passed out, there was no stopping that power. Evie wrapped her arms around Bella to sheild her from the spray of BBs with her back.
"That bloody hurts," She grumbled. Her body wasn't going to heal that quickly. It felt like she had been shot about twenty times over. She didn't care. She had felt worse, but she would lose blood. Looking around she yelled, "Alek, go get Ms Frost or Mr Summer. Bella, try and calm his mind but back off. He's giving off em radiation. I know you're mad. But you gotta do it. Think of it as a way to $#@! with his head for whatever he said to you."
She wanted to get distracted by shiny objects again. But everything she had in her, all the adrenaline told her to focus and act. Evie's survival mode was kicking in something fierce. If anything, the little BBs popping out of her back where nice and shiny, "So pretty.... mother of god healing kick in please...."
She knew she needed to turn him on his side and put something soft under his head until the seizure passed. Under normal circumstances, she could handle getting close. Her system was far from normal right now. She took off the t-shirt she had on over her bikini and rolled it up.
"Why couldn't you just be a fluffy unicorn or something?" She grumbled to Eli walking into the field he was creating feeling the damage to her body almost immediately. It didnt' phase her mind cause she was still happy high, "Although then you'd probably impale somebody if you were a unicorn. But you'd be fluffy. Fluffy is nice."
She quickly (but carefly) put the make shift shirt-pillow under his head. Then she rolled him onto his side to help prevent any choking. While she did this, she noticed the very visible damage to her skin from his powers. That distracted her for sheer fascination rather than concern. Something in her head told her to move the hell away and she scrambled back to a distance where the radiation was less and the pulses weren't going to hurt quite so much. Adrenaline gave out at that moment and she collapsed on her knees again.
Healing factor in overdrive. It better catch up to her soon or she wasn't going anywhere after em radiation poisoning or whatever technical term that was for it. She didn't care she was still humored by unicorns and sea glass.

Omega: Hold please
Petra had separated herself from much of the crowd. Paranoia made her think they wanted her bubbles. But after that fascination went away, she followed a small trail of ants from the kitchen outside. Their little marching pattern was so cute, so curious. It was incredibly intriguing.
Ant fell into sand.... sand fell into blades of grass... fell into tree bark.... she spent hours going back and forth between things examining it. Textures, colors, and everything else kept her mind's attention. The amount of time that passed didn't even occur to her. Everything was as equally interesting as the last thing she looked at.
Metal. Sensed metal.
Coming into the clearing by the beach, she saw a sight that didn't phase her. Eli was down. Evie was hurt. But metal. She wanted those BBs. She ran over to Evie and didn't say much but, "Hold. I take metal. Shiny things."
Putting a hand to Evie's damaged back, she willed the metal out and to form around her fingertips. It was so shiny and she felt herself having to pull it towards herself a little more because of Eli's wonky power. She skipped off looking at her fingers, "My metal now. Hm. Maybe they need help. No. Older team girls there. Will be okay."
She ran toward the porch of the house to hoard her treasure.

Alpha - Catalina - Heading back to the room, plus 1 Raine grinned as she saw the amount of food her friend loaded on to her plate, the firefly feeling a sense of pride at the fact that someone else wanted to eat her food. In reality, it shouldn't have surprised her -- no one could resist the allure of these waffles. They were like magic. A satisfied look graced her features as she heard her friend purr in content after taking a bite. Nothing like feeling appreciated to burst your ego. She laughed as the girl said they should head back up to bed, the brunette happy at the idea of leaving the crowded kitchen to spend more time in private with Sophia. A few times, she started to reach for something, but Sophia was quick enough to grab almost everything before she could get her hands on it. As she was reaching for the bowl of strawberries before she heard her friend call for Christian. Hazel eyes snapped around to look at the boy, Raine remembering that a minute ago she wasn't too happy to see him, though that seemed to melt away again. She smiled at the prospect of his spending the afternoon with them, waffles in bed, the wind blowing through the open window. There was probably something in that prospect that should make her uncomfortable, but her thoughts were all pure. Mostly pure…getting less pure the more time she spent thinking about it. " Well, Christian I often ask myself that same question. I think we're pretty good company," she said with a grin, placing her arm around Sophia's shoulders, careful not to jostle the load of things in the girl's arms. Stepping to the side so their their male companion could get the rest of their spread from the counter, she tossed her hair over her shoulders, brushing her bangs from her eyes. " If you want to follow us upstairs, I'm sure there is plenty of food here for the three of us. After all, a guy like you surely has an appetite, and nothing is more filling than waffles with strawberries, syrup and chocolate sauce." She gave him a wink, something that shocked even herself, though she didn't show any outward appearance of her shock. When he had picked up the last of it, Raine motioned towards the door, signaling that they could head out. If she wasn't allowed to carry anything, the least she could do was open doors and make sure they didn't spill anything. If that happened, she was liable to start crying. No prospect seemed worse than losing those waffles right now. " Alright gang, let's get moving so we can tear into those waffles!" Leading the way, she held the door open for them to go through, leading the way upstairs to the room she was sharing with Sophia.

Doing nails outsideForellen seemed to be totally oblivious to the chaos happening around her. She was busy removing nail polish from Maddy’s nails. The sound of the polish bottle hitting the table brought her mostly back to reality and she blinked at it. ”Huh? Oh right no problem!” She said and frowned at Maddy before looking around and almost just noticing what was going on around them. Her mind seemed to be slipping or her attention was going. Frowning a touch as she looked at the people in the kitchen she began to clean up around them so they could move to less crowded accommodations. ”My...you’re right. I didn’t notice them here before. We can go outside in the back maybe?” She offered as she put the nail polish back into the pouch before stopping. She plucked the color Maddy had picked and slid that into a pocket. She also snagged some of the paper towels off the roll as she headed towards the back. The area around in the back was where the pool was and there was plenty of open tables. Add to the fact that most of the commotion seemed to be gravitating towards the front yard it was also much quieter there. ”Aaahhh...this is much better. Quieter and less busy then in the kitchen.” She said looking for a good spot to sit. She didn’t want to be out in the sun, she burned easily, but she also wanted a spot that would just feel nice and comfortable. Forellen picked a table that was well shaded and slid down waiting for Maddy to catch up to her though she vaguely remembered her not being too far behind. Now what had she been doing? There was that brief moment of confusion as she looked around. Pool? Swimming? No that didn’t sound right...what was in her pocket? She dug the nail polish bottle from her pocket and the lights came back on. She was polishing Maddy’s nails. She spread the paper towels around where Maddy would be sitting so she didn’t get nail polish all over the nice tables and simply waited in the shade of the umbrella for Maddy to sit down and join her.

Outside: Kitty!Wow everyone was all off the wall today and Molly found herself very much alone sitting in the parlor with the TV. At the moment she wasn’t paying attention to the chaos of the people around her. She was lounging on a chair watching cartoons. Occasionally she would snicker at them but she was more focused on her breakfast to really enjoy them. However like all good things the cartoons were soon over replaced with some dull cooking show that had Molly sniffing with distaste. Sliding out of the chair she brushed the crumbs off her shirt and walked outside. She was bored. ”So bored now...I’m going for a walk!” She turned to call over her shoulder...not that anyone was really paying any attention to her at the moment. So once outside she just sort of wandered around. She could see a lot of people hanging around at the beach. She wrinkled her nose at the thought of going there. Sand was dirty and she just showered and was clean. She didn’t feel like getting dirty right now. So with nowhere to go she just aimlessly wandered about the immediate area until something stopped her near some bushes. Curious Molly stopped and listened. What was that... ”Mew”Molly perked up right off the bat. ”Kitty!” The rational part of her was screaming at her to walk away but curious she rooted around for the cat that was meowing at her. She found the animal in the bushes and it watched her with an almost appraising gaze before strolling over to her and knowing she had found a sucker. {See pic for what kitty looks like} The cat purred like a tank engine when Molly scooped her up and checked her over. She looked very healthy for a stray and was obviously not shy around people there was also no visible signs of infestation or injury. No collar though so Molly had no way of knowing if someone had lost her. It was a small ray of sunshine in an otherwise dreary day. Needing to show off her new discovery she started back towards the condo. Who would be interested? Molly pondered that as she scratched the cat behind the ears. Maybe the people on the beach would like to see her kitty? Skipping along she was soon making a beeline to the beach and she quickly identified a few people there. Isabella, Evelyn, Alek and a few people she had seen around but never got a chance to meet. ”Hey! Look what I found! A kitty! Isn’t she adorable?” She announced when she arrived at the group holding the black and gray cat up so people could see. The cat almost as if on cue meowed at them and gave them the ‘super adorable pet me I’m a kitty look.’

To the Kitchen then the Dinning Room - Follow the Yellow Brick Road Shandra smiled at Peta's response. Meat huh? She could make a lot of meat. And she probably would have to as well...when she made meat, mutants tended to come out of the woodwork. It was like there was a call to the wind. Shandra smiled - she supposed there was in a way. Scent was kind of like a call on the wind, and meat tended to put out a lot of scents. Her stomach was already growling thinking about it.
"Think you can take some sausage then?" Shandra smiled as she pulled him (Peta) up.
Keeping one of her hands around Antonio's and one between Peta's, Shandra started to pull them out of the room. She found another reason she was happy about the smaller bedroom on the bottom floor - it was close to the kitchen. She supposed back in the day it was built, seemed to be pre-californian American, that it was used as a servant's quarters. Probably roomed more than one or two. But that was fine for her, it was referbished and...close tot he kitchen.
Exactly where she wanted to be.
She almost forgot she was kind of pulling the two boys along. Until she got to the actually kitchen that was. Then she let go of their hands as she turned around to face them, an innocent look on her entire body as her hands clasped each other behind her back.
"Well...you're about to have a really big meal," Shandra said with her eyes shining with something between amusement and excitement over the food she was about to consume.
She just had to make it first...Shandra spun around and got to work. The poor fridge and cabinets never knew what hit them by the time she'd finished searching. There was so...much out on the counters and she barely paid attention to anything anyone else might have dragged out.
No...she got to work on cooking every breakfast food she could think of. Eggs four ways from Sunday, sausage and bacon in all conditions, toasts (including french) dressed up five ways, cinnamon pancakes, fruit bowls, biscuits, meat loaded country gravy, and practically anything else she could get her hands on.
By the time she was done, the kitchen probably looked a mess...and thirty minutes had passed since she'd started. However, there was a whole dinning room table full of choices. She should know...she'd started loading it all onto the table.
And she had even squeezed a jar of fresh orange juice too. She felt like something sweet...and orange juice just seemed the right kind to her. Shandra flopped down onto a chair in the dinning room satisfied with her plate on her lap. After all...there wasn't any room on the table.

Alphas: missing a limb and WAFFLES!!
Hoshi woke up on the floor of a cave with an aching head. It took her a few minutes to remember what had happened, and she was realived to find she could see agian. what she didn't like was that she felt extreamly empty inside, like there was something missing. She frowned deeply at the sensation. she didn't like it at all, and it made her come close to tears. suddenly, she found herself wanting waffles very badly. She tried to shift her wings out and was stunned to find that she couldn't. Hoshi couldn't shift into her dragon form ether, which scared her so much she sprinted back to the mannor.
Once at the mannor though, she forgot her panic as she spotted the grey and black kitten that Molly held. she scritched its head absenlty as the smell of the very waffles she'd been thinking of floated through the air towards her. She patted the kitten one last time. "It's a good thing those waffles smell so good or you might end up my snack. Plus, you're really cute" Hoshi said to the kitten absently. she wandered into the house and spotted Raine, Sophie and Christian walking out of the kitchen with huge stacks of Waffles. "Hey, can I have some too?" she asked rather shyly. they seemed like a rather close-knit group and she didn't want to get in the way.

Alpha: Not quite...Normal. Everything happened so quickly. She had, whole heartedly, expected Eli to go fly a kite—preferably in another state. Considering he'd been in such a hurry to haul his sorry a** away from them the moment he arrived... He was a show off with a bad attitude, and it annoyed her. So when she suddenly saw a dozen little silver balls in the air, she didn’t initially react at all.
Bella had already forgotten that minutes ago in the house she’d tried to protect Wilbur from them. They were just, shiny metal mini-marbles.
Her head laying in the sand, Evelyn’s body pressed against her, hiding her slight form from view—She was confused. The beach glass dug into her hand painfully, surely cutting skin. Was this a new game they were playing? Was it a very strange form of a hug? Her friends body wasn’t…Moving right, for a hug. Not that she was heavy, but it wasn’t easy for Bella to draw breath with her pressed down like that… It was disconcerting… She could always breathe. Voice made sounds—But it was the sounds of the BB’s hitting flesh that held her suddenly solemn attention... She could see them, rippling through the air in slow motion as an after effect-- Her echolocation kicking it.
Instinctively, Bella knew Evelyn would heal.
But she didn’t like her being hurt in the first place. She shouldn’t have to be. No pain… It pissed her off, moreso.
She grew distracted by things around her, the KILLJOY serum working double time to override her need to have control of a potentially awful situation—Her want to care. If she would have had…Just the slightest bit of Evie’s healing power…This would have brought her back to herself. She would have been worried for Eli—Immediately. But she didn’t have a healing factor… So she was trapped… Just like everyone else. She heard the BB’s come from Evelyn’s flesh with dozens of little sucking, ripping sounds…She felt the fruit she had consumed that morning start to roll over in her stomach… She was still, dazed, even as the injured girl tried to tend to the seizing Eli.
A girl, Petra, pulled the metal from her. She liked Petra.
She didn’t like Eli.
Even from the distance Evelyn had pushed her, the force of the EMP having tossed them a little further—the radiation was palpable. Her mouth tasted bitter…Like copper, or steel… She didn’t like it. And once again, it was another thing that endeared Eli less and less to her. How….Inexperienced was he, that he lost his marbles at the drop of a hat? Her face twisted in disgust…Set in anger.
Just what the sadly dysfunctional Alpha’s needed… Another drama queen. She wondered if she would have to feed and burp him too.
First he hurt Wilbur… Then he called her bad names…Then he buried BB’s in Evelyn…
He was a danger—A danger to her lambs, her ducks, her little lovely loves…
Angry.
“If a FOOT grows out of my FOREHEAD—So help me GOD I will KILL him in his sleep!”, snarled the normally gentle songstress as she pushed herself up from the ground with surprising fluidity. Where there was usually compassion and never-ending understanding…There was nothing but anger and resentment for the shortcomings and apparent stupidity of others…It felt…uncontrollable.
Bella wanted to collect beach glass. She wanted to enjoy the damn Snuggie—She wanted to have her boyfriend, and her best friend, all to herself, happy in the sunshine—But nooooo some twerpie Everett 2.0 had to go and ruin it. Brat, Brat, Brat, Brat, Brat.
“Enough!”, Isabella Stone bellowed, her voice carrying so loud, so deafening, that the surf she was standing near was rebuffed from her, shooting in the other direction against the waves and tide. Her ability wasn’t anything remotely telepathic…Luckily for her, and for Eli, her voice directly altered the chemicals in the brain to give the effects desired. There was a faint hum in the air—A byproduct of her ability that also carried the power of suggestion.
Unlike her song earlier, it demanded that he calm. Awake, asleep…Conscious or unconscious… From this distance, at such close range—Eli, and his person would subconsciously obey her. There was simply no other way around it. “Stop! Enough is enough…No more headache, no more twitching like a soon to be dead fish… Be calm, and be still.”
“No more power…No more headache—No more pain. No more mouth. Be still.”, she ordered, waiting for the radiation and mini-after shock EMP episodes to subside—Her actions out of pure irritation… And self preservation. Who knew what electromagnetic radiation could do—What pretty girl wanted a four eyed baby or a fanged mouth for a belly button. The brain was a tricky thing… And much like the danger room, her ability flowed on the same wavelength… Whatever the brain held to be true, was true—The pain for Eli, was of course, still there… But her voice offered peace and freedom from it. The brain would believe it.
This whole…day… should have been a warning flag. She would never use her ability like this against anyone of her friends, any of her Alpha's…Not so completely...Not with such strength.
Instead of worrying about Eli—she was checking herself, and the rapidly healing Evelyn for feet growing out of random orifices.
"No Scott. I don't want to see Summers!", she called after Alek stubbornly...Though for the life of her, she couldn't remember why not.

What Where We Going to Do?
Jack sighed as he opened yet another pack of food. He seemed to fidget abit, uncomfortable where he was but not one to complain. When she spoke he listened and grunted somewhat. " Tanks have dependable engines. I only just now got that overhaul." His comment held no real annoyance toward her, just something off hand. When she moved closer to him and made contact he resisted a shiver but glanced her way as he finished slowly thinking. His and her statements just outside the condo drifted through his head as he set the box down. A trademark smirk crossed his lips as he nudged the red head over and struggled to get up from his own weight. He grabbed her left leg without much warning and anything she had lined up in protest would have been answered my his now continuing massage of her leg. no need to let it go undone, it would just feel unbalanced. He continued on clearing his throat but not meeting her eyes.
" Well Missy. Seems we have alot more in common then being abnormally tall for our genders. as for my pops, unless I'm marchin with a carbine in hand he ain't happeh. Comin up to New York he was wonderin how I got grades good enough to get into what looked Like a school for rich folks. He has no idea that I'm a mutant. Just another way to disappoint him." Jack was almost done with her leg and contemplating where to go from there. Leaving it up to her might be for the best. a few pops of her leg later he offered a hand to help her sit up. " anything else up for stretchin?". He asked as his eyes glanced her face and he began to sink onto the floor again. He didn't know why. His weight was never problem but today he just wanted to relax and not support it as much.
She took some tension out of him just by being close, so it helped. He stretched his arms over his head and stretched his own spine with a soft yet deep yawn. Today was just cloudy in general it seemed. And yet anytime he came to think of leaving her to do something on his own it became more of a hurricane and a sailboat involved. It just felt right, then again he's been having a thing for her since his team change. He shrugged and watched her wondering what was next. today was unexpected but pleasant and he wanted nothing more then for it to continue.

Omega - Outside - Madison in Wonderland Maddy nodded in agreement at Forellen when she proposed that the pair should head out back to do their "work". She followed Forellen to the outside of the house shaking her hands about in an attempt to get the bit of polish remover off her skinny fingers. They were alone out back, as far as the girl could tell. Little waves formed in the pool, pushed by the considerable breeze coming off of the ocean. the water looked clear and inviting, but it would have to wait. Her mind, oddly, was on a one way street this morning. She didn't think of the madness of last night-- her sudden ill feelings toward Vallon, or Leion's spiel with Jacen. It was, in her mind, non-existent. All that was was what was her, before her now. that reality consisted of Forellen, and the prospect of getting alone to talk and paint nails like the happy, fourteen year old Maddy would do with her friends. Sitting down at the table, Maddy scooted about in the chair, trying to get comfortable. It was shady there, and though it wasn't too hot (it still being a relatively early hour), it was noticeably cooler when she got out of the sun. Maddy gave a little smile to Forellen in reply to her comment about the quiet out back. "Yeah, I mean, I suppose I get used to the noise level back at the mansion, what with kids running about. For once I'd like it just to quiet down, though..." That proposition was met with the timely, echoing shout from a voice that she recognized as Isabella's. "See," she waved her hand, before surrendering it to Forellen and her paint. "Point proven."Maddy blinked, and looked back up at the girl seated next to her. Well, her eyes weren't carrot orange, but they still had something to them.

Omega: Catalina - Deciding on a Hike Kerrigan felt Jack nudge her to the side, a look of incredulity crossing her features for the quickest moment at the thought of him rejecting her presence, which he seemed to crave as much as she did just moments before. However, she felt his hands enclose her leg as she was gently pushed back to the ground, continuing the massage she interrupted outside. She grinned as he worked through the tension of her muscles, arms stretching above her head as her eyes closed. His touch was just as intoxicating now as it had been outside, her stomach fluttering with butterflies. She heard him start speaking again, the redhead opening her eyes and looking up at him to show she was still paying attention. He called her 'Missy,' something that made her feel all warm inside for whatever reason. She liked when he called her pet names -- it meant that she was something special to him for the time being. " We probably have even more in common than we think," she said softly, not sure what to say in response to his relationship with his family. It was strange for her to think about, as it was a relationship she couldn't understand. Her parents were always so understanding, and while not everyone could enjoy that same relationship, she was never quite sure how to approach it. On the one hand she could try and say something to make it better, though on the other hand she knew that would end up doing little good. After all, sometimes the best thing one could do was keep quiet and just have a physical presence for them. All too soon he withdrew his touch from her, the redhead's lip pouting slightly as she accepted his hand to help her up. He asked if he could stretch anything else for her, the redhead blushing slightly at the many ways she could answer that question. His eyes left hers, starting to drift to the floor once more. This couldn't be allowed. Problem was, she wasn't sure how she was going to keep restraining herself if they stayed alone in this room. The safest thing for them now was to leave. To get out and do something while the day was still nice and she could still control herself. Standing up, the redhead moved over to the closet, turning to look back over her shoulder at the irresistible giant sitting in her room. " Alright, Lurch. Get up. We're going for a hike. You…me…the forest. It'll be fun," she said with a wink, pulling some things from her closet to change clothes. Disappearing into the bathroom with a stack of clothes, she emerged a few minutes later wearing a white shirt and a pair of denim shorts. She was wearing a pale pink bikini underneath -- after all, one never knew when the opportunity for a swim would present itself. Sitting down on the bed, she slipped a pair of sneakers on, sliding her sunglasses on top of her head as she looked at him. " Well, come on, go get changed. Don't get me wrong, I like you without a shirt on, but barefoot hiking isn't the most comfortable thing to do. You go get changed, I'll go grave up some bottled water and we'll meet on the porch in a few minutes." Leaning against the doorframe, one hand slipped to her waist, grinning at him as she waited. Once he stood, heading towards the door, she stepped forwards and intercepted him, arms wrapping around his waist as she brought her lips to his for another kiss. Breaking away, she grinned, reaching up and wiping a small trace of gloss from his bottom lip before turning, heading downstairs. By the time he was ready, she was waiting on the porch, two bottles of water in hand.

இ คჩεn இ ტრεჟค It's official... waffles are a good way to meet people. Maybe. Food, please.▀▀▀ ▀▀▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ ▀▀▀▀▀ ▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ ▀▀▀▀▀ Sausage? Oh... that sounded absolutely heavenly, and the more he thought about it, the less he thought about Shandra's lips, the less he wanted for that to ever happen again. Probably for the best; food was a better alternative, and he remembered well that Moahk had skills in the kitchen. How often had he joked that she needed to be barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen during most of her adulthood when they'd first met each other? The flooding of memories brought a smile to his face, and his eyebrows rose and fell with his inward chuckles. Obviously, often enough for there to be plenty of times to call on.
The first time his mother had snagged her into preparing their fried fish (which she'd helped Aren catch...a little, He was definitely the better hunter.) she had made a huge mess of the kitchen; it'd be interesting to see if she was still a messy cook as she was a good one. Maybe he could sweet talk her into making the fish fry that the Siksika for dinner soon. It'd been over six months since he'd had anything remotely similar to the traditional tribe foods, and now that he had her around, he might be able to fix that. She at least knew how to concoct a few of the dishes... He'd even be nice to Antonio if it meant he'd get some home-tasting cooking.
With the promise of any food made by Moahk's hand, Aren would have allowed Shandra to pull him anywhere without any sort of resistance. Even with her Hispanic crybaby in toe, the size shifter was happy to prance along her side like a lost puppy. But she retreated into the kitchen after releasing both he and Antonio's hand... indicating she didn't want to be disturbed while she slaved away over their breakfast. Once left to his own devices, Aren began to feel antsy, as though he couldn't sit still, and for a few moments he paced the doorway that Shandra had disappeared into.
Five minutes passed in what felt like a very awkward silence, because he truly had nothing to say to the man who hadn't even apologized yet for attacking him. While he'd already been tackled for much the same reasons by Jacen, the blonde had let it slide off as an "oops" moment; somehow, Aren didn't feel that the Hispanic would do the same. Rather than waiting for his temper to explode on the man, the native american trodded off from the dining room, throwing a "I'll be back" over his shoulder so as to not be completely uncivil to Antonio.
It didn't take long for his nose to fish out the scent of waffles, and in almost a trance, he followed the heavenly promise of food up the stairs where he guessed the rest of the rooms were. Had Shandra snuck food up to these people when he'd not been looking? That traitor!
But as he rounded the corner and peaked into the room, Aren didn't find Shandra as he'd expected. Two girls and a guy were all getting ready to mow down on some delectable-looking waffles, and he tossed them a friendly smile. "Hello." He greeted, the irritation that he felt for Antonio all but gone from the traces of his features as he peered at the lovely ladies. "Sorry." Aren rubbed the back of his head, feeling the new layers a bit more thoroughly as his fingers combed through the ebony locks, his posture containing an air of nonchalance, and his grin a bit lopsided as he felt sheepish for barging in on them. "The smell of the waffles robbed me of my good sense, and I found myself here before I realized that I was stalking breakfast like a wolf." The cadences of his statement was a bit off, and he stressed the wrong parts of words for them to believe that he was just an american who looked a lot like an indian. No, the accent was undeniably native, not to mention the rather odd metaphor that marked him to be different.
The power of the waffles compelled him to step inside, but he somehow found the will power to not steal one without invitation. If he could hold out for a bit, Shandra's food would be done soon...
His chocolate eyes took the team members in, and he wondered which teams they called their own. "I'm Aren, by the way... Newest Omega to the teams I think." It was meant as a way to break the ice. Introductions, no matter who you are... were always a little awkward.
If Shandra finished cooking before he was done tempting himself to beg a waffle or two from them, maybe she'd come and drag him back to the dining room where he might devour the morsels that she made just for her, Antonio (unfortunately) and himself.
She probably would.. and if not.. he'd meander back down in just a few minutes to check. ▀▀▀ ▀▀▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ ▀▀▀▀▀ ▀ ▀▀▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ ▀▀▀▀▀

Omega - Apparently, fresh cooked waffles are like flames to the moths.
“Well, if y’all weren’t such great company,” Christian said to Raine with a wink, “Prolly wouldn’t have hung out as much as we have, eh?” Despite whatever it was that was clouding his judgment, he still could recognize his close friends as such. Though, his thoughts seemed to wander the more he thought about them… and not all of them could be posted on the church bulletin board.
When Raine mentioned him having an appetite, Christian paused in mid-bite of his apple. Of course he had an appetite. Thrown fruit aside, he ate at least three quarters of his breakfast.. and now those fantabulous smelling waffles were on the docket? For some reason, Christian thought he was going to wind up puking cause of eating so damn much… and he just didn’t care at all.
“Alright, I got these,” Christian said as he grabbed the couple of things still sitting on the counter top. Sophia seemed to get the easy task of getting the berries and both syrups. All the better, however. Christian would use his height to his advantage. Just as he hiked the medium sized platter of waffles to his shoulder, he heard someone speak up…
Christian turned his head slightly before turning his inside shoulder towards the smaller girl. Hoshi, Christian remembered her name being. He hadn’t met the girl outright, but had overheard her name being bandied about awhile ago. Of course, there was no mistaking the one person who had wings growing from their back…
“I’d say yes, but as it is…,” Christian said, “You’ll have to talk to Sparkles about that.” He smiled big and bright, turning on whatever charm it was he had towards Raine. Surely she couldn’t refuse allowing yet another straggler to enjoy these seemingly delectable waffles.
Whilst he awaited word on whether or not Hoshi could join their little menagerie, Christian held the plate of waffles in one hand, whilst finishing up his apple with the other. Fruit… it truly was a gift from the Creator... he wanted more and honestly couldn’t wait to start mowing down on the strawberries meant to garnish the waffles.
Patience was wearing thin for Christian. The more he smelled the waffles in his hand, the hungrier he was getting… and then, he was interrupted yet again from heading to his destination. He listened to the darker skinned, shorter male speak about stalking the waffles like a wolf, to which Christian just laughed. That was funny… why would a wolf stalk waffles? Christian’s laughter subsided as he nearly fumbled the plate of waffles and Aren made his introductions.
“Aren?,” Christian said, repeating the guy’s name in the form of a question, “A pleasure. I’m Christian, fellow Omega.” As he finished speaking, he threw his half-eaten apple into the kitchen sink, wiped his free hand on his shorts, and extended it in salutation. While he waited for reciprocation on the greeting, Christian could feel his stomach rumbling despite being half filled with fruit, the desire for the rapidly cooling waffles growing ever more present.
