"If you had any sense left, I meant out of this Godforesaken area. Now, will anyone fight me?"
Elkan scratches his head quickly, making no movement to refuse any requests. His eyes looked still cold, but were like burning coals in his pale features. He smirked a bit, looking down at the girl that was eyeing the tree he cut down. He leaves her to wonder and waits patiently for an answer.

Rona narrowed her eyes and finally fixed her gaze entirely on Elkan. She extended her claws in case of an emergency and stilled her tail. "Sir," she began, "If you wish for a fight for survival, then I suggest you look elsewhere and leave us be."

Elkan smiled as he looked down at her, his sword hand twitching.
"You sound angry...angry enough to fight. Or, maybe, it is the fact that your being feels threatened by my very presence. It is one of those."
Elkan narrowed his eyes and looked at her a bit deeper, drawing his sword and placing it close to her neck in one swift movement that was close to the speed of sound. He smirks and pulls back his blade, sheathing it and stepping back. He growls lightly and leaps to the closest tree, landing on a thick branch, turning his body and walking away.

Rona tried her hardest not to shake when the sword touched her neck. When he finally pulled the blade back, she sighed mentally. With narrowed eyes she watched Elkan jump into the trees. Fighting with indecision for a moment, she finally cast an apolegetic glance to Gem and Serena. "Forgive me," she whispered before following.

Elkan stops in the tree, turning to face his persuee.
"What do you want? Do you wish to fight me?"
He glares and sits down on the tree branch, his breath coming out in small growls. He unstraps his sheath and rests it on the branch behind him, folding his hands calmly in his lap.

Rona shook her head, climbing into the tree next to Elkan's. "No," she responded, "I was curious. Why are you so ready to kill those from your own clan?"

"I kill because I am not of the same family. I am in Demon status, which is above Neko. I also kill them, because they are not in my own clan. I have not been accepted into the clan, and I won't be."
Elkan lets his hand drop off his katana's hilt, and he sits down calmly on the branch, obviously not wanting to fight at this time.

Rona leaned back against the trunk of the tree, letting out a small sigh of relief when Elkan released the hilt of his katana. Closing her eyes, she breathed deeply. "Are you so sure?" she asked finally. "To claim that you won't be accepted is to be giving up. Or is it that you don't wish to be accepted?"

"It's that I have never been accepted because of my higher race and abilities. I live to kill those that oppose me."
Elkan cast a small look at her, noticing she had stunning features. He smirked a bit, and leaned against a branch behind him. He grabs his katana and pulls it out, cutting off a few loose twigs and turning them into toothpicks. He sheaths his katana and puts a homemade toothpick into his mouth.
"Sorry about down there, by the way. I'm a bit edgey around groups. I like to spend more time with one person than with alot."
He raises his gaze a bit and looks directly into her eyes, letting his eyes peirce her's like a arrow in an apple.

Rona looked away, not quite able to hodl the gaze. "That must be a truly lonely existence, living to kill." Her expression was melancholy for a second before she shook off the feeling. "Tell me," She said, turning to Elkan after a moment of silence, "Does living to kill leave room to enjoy the beauty in life?"

"I enjoy the beauty of my own life, but watch theirs leave them. I agree though, it is quite lonely the way I live."
He still holds his calm stare, not daring to move as he slowly glimpsed into her personality through her eyes.
"I only let two people ever come close enough to me to be called friends, but one of them was more. She was killed by a human, and the other was my best friend, but he betrayed me and I slew him where he stood. Both are dead, and they both were parts of my heart. My heart has been broken for years now."
He looked away as a tear slid down his cheek, but he brushed it away quickly and regained his composure.

Rona pulled her knees to her chest and hugged them, staring out at the forest with half-lidded eyes. "A human betrayed me once," she whispered, "I will always hate him for that." Closing her eyes entirely, she took a deep breath to calm herself.

Elkan itches the back of his head, then diverts his gaze away from her, a bit of a blush rising under his eyes, but it was too dark in the night for anyone to see it.
