{[Elde]}

"Why does fortune seem to strike the most kindhearted people? Is everything just pre-ordained?"

.:[Traverse Town: second district]:.

Elde fiddled with a napkin that had been placed on the table. He had looked at Neema and gotten inspiration. He held up the now folded napkin which was in the form of a boat… or maybe a pirate hat… both worked just as well. He examined it as if it was more complex than it really was as he responded to the pirate woman.

“Hunger brought most of us here, boredom brought me…” he lowered the boat and placed it on the table sliding it across to Alex “…and of course, the pretty girls as well” his eyes had still been focused on Neema, he even winked at her as he said this, but the comment seemed playful and open ended. “Though I wouldn’t mind some food either-“

“I can help you zer!” with that a stereotypical French waiter came rolling swiftly and in an almost cartoony fashion up to the set of tables. “My name eez Don Piere and I shall be your vateur this evening!” with a curl of his moustache he withdrew a notepad and flourished a pen with a bright green feather on the end of it.

“Well… awesome then” Elde said with a little chuckle “I’ll have your finest sandwich” Don Piere nodded and scribbled down the order, he also heard everyone else declare their orders and proceeded to inform the chef.

((I think Don Piere is from something, the name I mean, but its what came to mind so there XD))

User Image[First District : Hefin's House]

"Perhaps a bit to eat will do us all some good," Aerith suggested to Faust, smiling lightly as she did so, her hand still holding Youni's as the two continued to search for this 'Ronso' the girl was talking about. Hopefully, he hadn't gotten hurt (or worse) in the battle from before. Aerith resisted frowning at the thought- no, they had to stay hopeful.

-- Just like we are with him... --

"Besides, Youni and I haven't quite had a chance to eat, either- perhaps we could eat as a group, and then continue searching?" she asked as the group began to walk down the Second District stairs into the main area, the ground level, where the Cafe was located.

{Ignorance is bliss... until reality throws a Heartless siege at you.}

[Traverse Town : First District -> Second District]

"I didn't forget about you, I simply thought you'd want a separate table considering you didn't walk with the group," Sory replied, rolling his eyes. Soryuju was many things- forgetful was not one of them. He simply didn't like to assume. But the man meant no insult, he was certain.

"Thank you for the offer," Soryuju replied to Nomaa, nodding slightly as he took a seat on the opposite side of Alexandra, leaving room for the others to take a seat. "And I'll have your turkey-swiss, please- the usual."

Soryuju had been to the Café numerous times before, having pretty much made Traverse Town is base of operations. He'd leave, do a little searching, and come back for a few days rest. This little stop was actually one of his rests, but he'd have never thought it would have given him the biggest lead of the past 4 years.

"So, most of us know each other, but I've not seen some of you before," he began, glancing down at Nomaa, and then to Souzourou and Orielle, with a curious look. Something about the first woman put his mind on edge, but he pushed those thoughts away easily enough. She did, however, remind him of people from that sea-faring world that he had a brief visit on. The other two seemed blatantly contrast to one another, which was surprising "I am Soryuju. And you three?"

{The gods themselves will tremble at our ascension...}

[???]

"I see the fae-witch is none the wiser."

"Of course not. She is blinded by her hearts lust for power."

"Some might say ours is a similar dedication."

"But we are not driven by a heart's superfluous whims. Hers is a lust. Ours is a birthright."

"Indeed... but you should be careful, Vereor. Your brother now knows of your ties to the Conclave. He will seek you out."

"And he will find me, eventually. It matters not. He is still weak, not living up to his potential."

"For one who claims to be a superior strategist, you make a strange amount of assumptions about your kin. You would be wise to be prepared. Also, be sure to keep an eye on the Swift Nightshade. Her heart is... fluctuating. Her intervention in Traverse Town was done for a personal vendetta."

"Of course, Superior. Now, if you'll excuse me, I must make the neophytes their trinkets. If you find another Pure-Heart-"

"You need not remind me, Vereor. I will inform you when the time comes."

Souzourou
{Don't we live in a beautiful world? And now a beautiful universe?}

[Traverse town :: Second District Cafe]

Sou xmiled around as he took a seat and looked through the menu for about second and a half before closing it. When Don Piere came and asked for orders, Sou replied with a simple "I'll try your daily special, please." As was pretty obvious now, he didn't even look at the menu, he had merely opened it, saw The words 'daily specials', and called it good. Food was always a great way to find out about the culture of an area, should be the same with worlds, right?

When the man who had suggested they come to the cafe asked for names, Souzourou immediately bowed his head for a second. "Ah, forgive us for not introducing ourselves earlier. I am Souzourou Kazanmachi, but you can call me Souz or Sou if it's easier, and this is my student, Orielle Allondra del Eris. I hope we can become good friends from here!" Despite his official sounding phrasing, his tone was completely friendly.

[ F α u s † ]

Character(s): Maximillion Alexander Faust II [Faust].
Status: Tired, and not ready to deal with The Faux-French Waiter at all.
Location: Traverse Town: Second District - Hotel Cafe.

---

"But - stop calling me 'girl'... my name is Colorai!" Faust, making his way quickly and efficiently down a wide staircase towards the Hotel Cafe, turned towards the gir-- Colorai, and nodded slightly in her direction, before letting an almost imperceptible frown flash across his face as his hand was grasped - again. Looking down, he saw Colorai's face, happy and a little bit hungry, and he idly disengaged his hand from hers and continued walking. Children are definitely too much trouble... especially this one - it's a wonder this Ronso puts up with her. Almost immediately after thinking this, his mind was pulled back to the event outside Hefin's House, and the look on Colorai's face as he walked back through the door. Shaking his head slightly to push it out of his mind, he hit the bottom of the stairs, and increased his pace again, ever so slightly.

"Perhaps a bit to eat will do us all some good - besides, Youni and I haven't quite had a chance to eat, either - perhaps we could eat as a group, and then continue searching?" Reflexively turning slightly and flicking his eyes back, he turned towards Aerith and... the other girl, and nodded again. "Fine by me." His eyes flicked front again, but not before narrowing slightly as they passed over the other girl. Facing forward, he watched the hollowed-out, somewhat cosy space of the Hotel Cafe emerge in front of him. Slowing his pace to a regular pedestrian's walk, he made an immediate beeline towards one of the tables in the corner of the comfortable space, where, he knew from experience, a conveniently positioned security mirror helped the Cafe staff - and, inadvertently Faust - keep an eye on all of the residing patrons. He had used it before in the past, oftentimes to great effect.

Reaching the table, he detached 'Atonement's' scabbard from his back in one swift, practiced movement, leant it against the wall beside him, then slipped into a chair. Opening the menu, he had barely glanced at the first line before... it's... faux presence made itself felt. Letting his features fall into an slight expression of annoyance for a split second, he sighed inwardly, and brought the menu up, trying to hide his face, but to no avail. Sensing... it's... presence immediately behind his menu, he pulled it down slightly to see two enormous eyes staring right at him, glistening with an almost disgusting enthusiasm. Placing his menu calmly down on the table in defeat, the silence was deafening between them as Faust turned towards the eyes, which has still not moved from within an inch of his face, and stopped, his face completely neutral. He watched as the huge eyes slowly began to fill with a sort of uncontrollable glee, and then mentally braced himself as the eyes flung back, to reveal an enormous, almost disgustingly eager face, and... it's... extremely annoying accent, probably from some other world he had never heard of or visited.

"Welcome to you, zer! I am Doooon Pierre! And I weel be your vayter this fine evening - oh ho hooo, I recognize your face! What can I get you, zer!?"

Reflexively pinching the bridge of his nose, Faust sighed inwardly again. It was always like this... every time. But as much as Faust detested... it's... blatant, almost disgusting enthusiasm, he could never bring himself to confront... it... about... it's... obviously fake nature. That would be akin to kicking a puppy - an ugly, misshapen, and extremely annoying puppy, but a puppy nonetheless. Meeting the gaze of someone who is looking at you with an anticipation that could almost exist as a separate entity is extremely difficult, but Faust managed without a single giveaway expression.

"The special. Please."

It gave Faust not a little amount of satisfaction to see... it's... face fall slightly, as though perturbed by the lack of enthusiasm he was showing - satisfaction, and, surprisingly, a small amount of guilt. I may not have kicked the puppy, but I definitely told it I didn't like it.

"Where's my Ronso?"

[Traverse Town :: Second District Cafe]

User ImageColorai clenched her fist as Faust ran off again. But was soon right back next to him as she sat at the table in the seat nearest to the man. She looked around and crossed her arms. The man with the funny accent was talking and she tried to understand what he was saying.

Hey Mister Faust...what is he saying?"

She asked as the man was taking orders. "I have the same as him!" she said pointing at Faust and hugging the stuffed kitty.

"Even without my tribe I have my family."

[Traverse Town :: Second District Cafe

Xifan walked into the door of the cafe and glanced around but didn't focus on searching for the girl, not in here. There was no way she could have gotten all the way here on her own.

The Ronso went and sat down at the bar and sighed before ordering just a glass of water. Not even bothering to look around, Xifan sighed and closed his eyes as he tried to gather his thoughts.

[Ölüm]

(Unfortunately, there is not a fleck of remorse within me.)

[Castle Oblivion : Commons Area

Ölüm's focus drifted away from Tsurumi, as he had simply been understanding his own thoughts, or at least trying to make sense of the haphazard chaos that they were now in. He turned to Haruko, and even though he was not one to run away from any battles, he felt as though Tsurumi would be better off in the company of a man that was not going to have thoughts of poisoning her drink so that her tongue writhed and choked herself...

"Splendid... show me the way then to your room, and I shall assist you. It would bring a bit of life to this place. Vereor really needs to think about getting someone to renovate it..."

[Castle Oblvion :: Aria's Room]

Aria blinked once, twice as the nobody settled on her bed. She stared at Masenko, face devoid of expression but her eyes were clearly plotting. Finally, Aria let loose a low humming noise that escaped regular ears, but would've made Masenko's ears pop. The Twilight Requiem reached for her blanket, pulling it from under Masenko and hugging it to her chest.

"I'm not going to let you ruin my bed also."

{You look like you fell down a tree and hit every possible branch on the way down.}

[Traverse Town :: Second District Cafe]

Suzu let out a contented sigh as she flopped down on a seat. Her stomach was growling and she felt so fatigued. She placed her chin on the table and glanced upwards, patting the seat beside her as if motioning for her brother to sit beside her. There were a lot of people in this rather rag-tag of a group, and another one joined them as if lured in by the fact they all stuck out like a sore pinky... or was it a sore thumb? She groaned, she couldn't get used to these weird customs and sayings these people had despite being schooled into the many cultures.

"I'll take a roast beef and swiss please." Suzu muttered out uneasily after starring at the menu. Roast beef looked somewhat familiar to what they had eaten on another world. All at once her cheery disposition flew out the rug and Suzu felt weight upon her shoulders like she was in for a wild mongoose chase.

Suzu shrugged, not wanting to be bothered by her overreactive mind. She looked to the new girl, Nomaa. She looked interesting enough, albeit a bit dangerous, like she wouldn't want to cross swords with the like of her.

[Bollocks.]

Pulling out a chair beside Souzourou, Orielle plucked a menu from the table and studied it with a cold indifference.
Not that her icy nonchalance lasted long.
Crossing her left leg over her right, she bit her lower lip and furrowed her brow as she turned the menu to the side as if that would shed light on the conundrum. Still baffled, she crossed her legs the other way and opened her mouth to speak, then closed it... then opened it again. "Kazanmachi, what is a.... "sub"?"

"Turkey and chedder. No lettuse, tomatoe or onion please," said Alex, glancing at the menu for a moment. She picked up the little boat and spun it around her index finger. She let out a low chuckle at Elde's mention of how the pretty girls had brought him here. She adjusted the shoulder guard absentmindedly and played with the little boat.

[[Vain]]

"Death out of a Father's Pride"

___[Traverse Town .:. First District]

Vain followed through into First District and shut the door behind him, quickly falling against the door due to the immense pressure he felt in his right forearm. He looked down at his hand and noticed how much the darkness had grown, spreading up to his elbow.

Vain! Let me at it!

The teen reached around and grabbed the Revblade, the excess darkness draining into the weapon for a few moments before the pressure vanished. He let go of his sword and looked at his hand again, noticing that, while not nearly as large as before, the dark infection had spread ever so slightly. This is no good... Surely something to inform the wizard of next we meet. He looked over at Mina and managed a smile before saying, "It would seem you weren't as lucky as I in making it here to the 'first district'..."

"Mercy out of a Father's Cry."

"GAH. MY EARS. TAKE THAT!" Masenko rolled over and fired a stream of smoke at Aria, wrapping it around her eyes for a Blind attack.
