Maya listened quietly, not really wanting to be involved with the conversation. When they talked about taking her to see Marcus Shippe, sat up a little straighter and smiled a bit, proud to think that they think she is competent backup for Kat. Which she was. Maya settled took off her coat and settled down on the floor, watching the others. The couch Kat was sleeping on told her the street by the church said that now she has to keep all of these people safe. Maya sighed and said quietly, "Well thanks street...Make my job that much harder. 'Specialy with these suicidal people. Running around, getting shot up, getting into fights with powerful organizations. Whatever..." She mumbled a bit more, then curled up into a ball and began to snooze lightly.

Kat woke up early, just as she said she would, and she pulled herself up, remaining quiet so the others would remain sleeping. She scratched Rex behind the ears, keeping a low whisper, "Did your owner remember to set out the keys last night?" She smiled, doubting it, and upon inspection confirmed that doubt, not finding them anywhere.

Kat let out a sigh and moved to the door, she'd have to walk to go get the towels. She assumed she'd be back before breakfast, despite, and gave Rex a quick goodbye before heading out.

Rook woke at the first sign of people stirring, sitting up slowly, only to see Kat wandering. He waited until she was in the kitchen, and he stepped out to meet her.
"Morning, sunshine."

Kat gave Jarred a sharp look, but didn't say anything, letting him wake up on his own as she headed to the kitchen.

She smiled at Rook as he stepped in behind her, "Sunshine now, am I?" She shuffled around in the cupboard for some oatmeal, "morning to you too, Rook."

"That you are." he replied, leaning against the counter, "You still going to run out to grab towels?"

Kat shook her head, "Jarred says there's enough, there's enough. And if not, he's the one who has to share." She smiled and set some of the oatmeal on the stove. "In a little bit I'll be calling Jeffery though, see how things are coming."

"Sounds good. You think you're gonna be safe with him?

Kat started to chuckle, "He fought both you and Linc to keep me safe, remember? I'll be fine."

"Is this really how you to graciously thank your host?" Jarred grumbled as he rolled off the couch and onto his feet. He yawned and scratched his head, slowly walking to the kitchen area. "So what's good?"

Katarina stopped near one of the stop signs of a cross street leaning an arm against it and doing what she'd been doing for the last couple of hours, scanning thoughts for the ever obscure Marcus Shipp.

She'd only been able to catch snatches and bits that had so far led her to the richer district of things in St. Eva. She paused for a moment, though the thoughts of random people in the district still ran through her head like a reel, to take in all the fancy that was around her.

"Back on the topic of graciously thanking our host hmm?" Kat glanced back at Jarred, a sharp curve to her smile. "You've mentioned that a few times now. How exactly is it you would like us to thank you, Jarred?" Kat leaned on the counter resting her chin on her hand.

"Food, and not waking me." He yawned, grabbing a piece of cold pizza.

Kat chuckled, "I thought you would have liked being in the position of me waking you up. Pity I'll have to avoid doing it in the future. Don't want you to think me ungrateful after all." She went back to her oatmeal with an entertained smile, always enjoying the art of a tease. "Cold pizza makes an awful breakfast, by the by." She added some cinnamon, a bit of vanilla, some sugar and a sprinkling of almonds into her oatmeal, then sampled it before turning to her phone.

She dialed Jeffery's number, waiting for him to pick up.

Rook nodded, stroking the points of his mustache.
"Hell of a punch on that guy, too. Granted, Lincoln isn't much to brag about, as far as a beating goes." He replied, eying the cold pizza in the fridge, motioning to it, "Mind if I take some?"
