"Transmitted...cuts on the back." He said as he blinked heavily and tried to regulate his breathing "Just a little wife troubles" He said with a chuckle, trying to lighten the mood "We both have our share"

"The only thing I know is what kind of poision it is....how it was transmitted and that I should go to you. I cannot say anything about who may have done this" He said as he swallowed once more "I...don't even know how I know this"

Jay just nodded and removed his cloak, leaning on his stomach to show his back with some scratch marks on the back. "Yeah, I'm sure the other way won't be too pleasant" He said. "Let me just take the chemicals orally when your done there"

Jay closed his eyes tightly and took a sharp breath, feeling the stinging sensation in his back. His back would tense up as he slowly opened his eyes "Now for the part I have to ingest"

"All right" He said, sitting upright. He grabbed the paste and the capsules, tucking them away in his cloak and giving him a nod "Thanks again" He arose to his feet and made his way out, still a tad shaky on his feet from the treatment. He managed to make his way home in one peice, so that seemed to be the best he could hope for.

Jay had been brought in a few minutes later, still the bloody mess that he was from when the grenade went off. The extend of the damage was very dire indeed. It seemed as if many of his bones had been broken from the constant slamming and hitting the ground. There was some internal damage,as well as his right arm (which seemed to just be hanging by a few pieces of flesh), and a missing left eye...the angelic one. He'd also been lit on fire for about 10 seconds, so the smell of burnt flesh filled the room as is body was taken in and placed on a table.

Slowly, Aes awoke as well. Carrying them all had drained his body far beyond it's normal capacity. He'd let his body grow weak since his pledge not to fight, and for that he scolded himself harshly. Then stopped. Where was Zelos?! Only seconds later did his eyes fall on the form of Ms. Pale. The emotions- fear, regret, worry; and physical pain took him back to when it was Ms. Pale, Mr. Wedsday and himself. Not an idealistic youth but one plauged with this sort of trouble, and now one that his family was in. Struggling up, his hand brushed Kasumi's side softly just to let her know he acknowledged that she was awake. He only showed the desperation in his eyes to Ms. Pale for now. The only one not physically hurt.

Her words had the intended impact naturally. It carried him back to that time period when nothing was certian, and made him realize, maybe for the first time since he had come to the Black Amber lands, that although she would try her hardest, nothing was certian. He wanted to reply to her a thousand different ways. None would work. He could say something comforting but it could be viewed as patronizing. He could embrace her but they were still uncomfortable with physoical contact. Asking her for the next move would have the same effect. Merely holding out his hands, Aes asked her for Zelos back. They were speaking in broadcast to eachother as it took less efffort to expell on a physical level and was more intimate mentally. And he needed some connection at the moment. But then he took it back, his mind registered what his eyes had seen of Kasumi. Bloodied and on the operating table, she required better skill than he could give to her now, but he would give everything he had in him all the same. There was little threat of losing her, but it weighed heavily on his mind that it was by his own inadequate actions that the woman had been able to harm Kasumi so in front of him.
