Steely Dan shook his head. "Nae, we dun. Like I tol' yeh. If we dun' know 'ow ta use it, it helps 'im more'n us. Yeh keep 'way, now, jus'... sit down. Yeh need a res', more'n anybody." He nodded slowly, reaching into his armor, looking for his cigar case.
Chickenwire was tired, leaning against the wagon the Watch had brought with them. A Constable with an injured leg was lying nearby, and Chickenwire was tearing up a morph's shirt to make a bandage for it, while his subordinate softly groaned on the ground.
And of course, Tibarn was angry. He fixed his sharp eyes on Madriana, his fists clenched tightly as he growled, mostly to himself, "Not the time... not the time right now... later. Later, gonna get to the ******** bottom of this, and then drop her off a cliff..."

After Ephraim had left Ledreak to that...one.. warrior, the entire time that went on, Ephraim was fighting off useless morphs in hopes of getting somewhere. During all that, he had gotten separated from everyone else and couldn't seem to relocate any of them.
He did however, spot a green haired sage with a few other people. Seems like the 'heroes' were already dead and the last one left standing was Loki. Ephraim slid down the muddy hill and approached them. "What'd I miss?"

Ignoring Madriana as they reached the mouth of the cave, Nino turned to everybody. "This is it, everyone. If we wait any longer we won't stand a chance..."
She didn't want to mention that her confidence for facing Loki was shot and that she didn't think they had a chance anyways...
She turned, took a deep breath, and began to move into the cave...

John hearing they were moving in now. John picked up his pace and walked into the mouth of the cave. "Alright everyone...Good luck." john said to everyone as he walked in.

The prince breathed in and let out a heavy sigh before following the group in. So this was it? The last battle? Why was he more nervous then before? Before this entire battle began he wasn't nervous..in fact, he was fine..now that it came to Loki, he had to admit, he was shaking just a little. Fear? Anxioty? Nervous? Whatever it was, Ephraim couldn't sort it out..not right now at least...for now..all he could do was follow as they ventured toward the enemy.

Tibarn took a long, deep breath and walked past Madriana, wings spreading proudly for a moment before they folded, and he stepped into the darkness of the cave as well, making his way down the long, dark, damp corridor.

Fa swooped down and flew right next to nino and assured her,"Its gonna Be otay miss Nino." as she landed and grabbed her hand and walked in with her. "Please Athos..help us..Fa is scared.." Fa thought to herself while walking in.

Ed sat where she had been sitting, tending to her wounds even after the Light Rune dissipated. She still didn't understand what the item was but supposed she could look into it later. That's right, later. Ed believed they would survive this. Sure she took a harsh hit, but she wasn't quite dead yet, and as she glanced around saw that the people she knew had not yet fallen.
The calm was eerie, settling into her gut as she finally stood and re-adjusted her sword. So they were going up against a god? Now, Ed hadn't witnessed too much of his power from the past, so she had doubts about his existence. But if that was so, then what was this heavy feeling of foreboding? Was it just everyone's fears lingering on the air?
Ed stepped over a few corpses and approached the entrance to the cave. She took notice of Madriana, but all Ed could do was furrow her brow in confusion. She still didn't believe in the dead coming back, and with Madriana's hair down the figure was still hard to recognize anyway. Ed just went on in silence after the others.

Since people started entering, might as well do the same. Too bad Purge hadn't been needed... but no, Victoria at least used hers quite often. As she arrived, he gave it to her so he'd have room to switch Antaram and Nosferatu at will.
...Honestly, he wasn't sure if Nosferatu was at all a good idea. One-target spells would likely be useless on Loki, and even if he DID by some miracle hit, the quintessence might... drive him crazy. If morph quintessence could make him a bit lustful for battle, imagine what a demigod's quintessence could do... But he kept Antaram, and opted to switch the Silence staff for Restore before going in.

Soren slowly rose to his feet.
...No, this wouldn't do. He was still shaky, his muscles lethargic, his balance unsettled. He leaned against the wall and slumped back to the ground. He had to be of purpose. He needed to back up the others, needed to give them the utmost assistance if they were to clash with a god of chaos, even at the cost of his life. It would be better if he did not lose his life. He could continue to be of purpose as long as he lived.
But sitting this battle out was just as bad as, well, dying. He tucked the Elwind and Rexcalibur tomes into the sash of his robe, adjusted the fabric wrap hanging from his shoulders, and pushed himself up again. Slowly he tried to grasp a sense of equilibrium and crept after the group. Perhaps it would take him a while to arrive, but better late than never.
The emotionless disciple observed and ceaselessly calculated all around him as he dragged onward.

Blossom approached Chickenwire, then paused. He was helping someone right now. He didn't really need her bothering him. She bit her lip, tightened her grip on Vezra, and followed the others into the cave.
Amelia, likewise, took in a deep breath and watched the others start to enter before following them. She was not going to sit back and let her friends fight and be injured and not help them.
Overhead, a single figure was silhouetted by the setting sun. The figure spread her night-black wings wide, swooping down towards the ground. A glint of light caught the swirling red color of the Tervingi Crest before, as luck had it, it dropped right down and towards Ed's hand.
"I expect that back...!" Annis shouted from her spot in the air before swooping towards the injured. She could help, at least, in that manner.

Arashe reached the mouth of the cave, others already making their way inside. So, he followed suit, but not before making sure the Ichival was in proper form, a weapon he'd be sure to find useful in the coming battle. While he wanted to turn around and tell Victoria to stay behind, for her own safety, he knew her far too well to even try, her angry refusal an entertaining thought as he entered the cave, calming his body as the group advanced.

Leon looked upon those whom were leaving. Yes, he was exhausted as his Captain told him, and everything, even the beating was all for his own good. He couldn't join them... the very ones he'd sworn to protect. So instead he saw them off, even if he hadn't the strength to wave. A tear fell from his eye, and he couldn't even wipe it off. He didn't want to.
That tear wasn't out of shame, pity of himself... it was his happiness. The watchman was satisfied... actually. "I... I kept 'em safe so they could... fulfill their dest'ny, Cap'n. That be... enough for me. I do needta rest now... I know yer gonna... watch over me. I'll be wakin' up... when th' chaos... fin'ly stops. I ain't gonna miss it... when FEF 'merges victorious. We can count on 'em... I know it." He smirked... and fell asleep that way too... and Anri had come behind him right in time to stop the watchman's fall into an uncomfortable bed of rocks. The steed turned an eye to the others... his rider's comrades, trusting them. They'd protect him, he knew it.
Sue followed Nino, her doubts and fears all being left behind as soon as she passed through the cave door. She wasn't fighting for herself, she was fighting for Learania! She mustn't forget that. "Father..." she muttered to Rath as their horses met in distance. "I'll show you how far I've come... and prove myself a worthy warrior. I will aid all of FEF in destroying this threat... and I will live."
The nomad trooper did continue forward, not once looking back. To look back was to think of going that way... so the thoughts would be stamped out before they could reach her mind. She would not give up. This was her home, her family. She had to fight her hardest to protect them all.

Victoria continued to follow Arashe and the others. She knew that he'd tell her something along the lines of 'stay back' but she was surprised, pleasantly to find that the nobleman said nothing.
She continued forward. It was the only way left to go.

Ed turned her head as a shadow fell across, attracting her attention, followed by a glinting object that was flying in her general direction. A perplexed expression crossed her face as she turned and neatly snatched the falling object out of the air. Silently she brought the item down to examine it, though it really wasn't familiar to her, and she watched how the dimming light shifted along its surface before a rush overtook her mind.
Scurrying along the cobblestones, tiny claws clicking against the path, a long tail streaming behind her as her whiskers twitched;
Stretching leisurely along the ground, jaws wide in a long contented meow as a friend rubbed her belly;
The rush of the wind in her fur, tongue hanging from her open jaws as her acute senses lead her through the forest;
Spreading her wings, trying to figure out how to fly.
Ed tilted her head back as a cry descended from above.
"I expect that back...!"
Ed grinned, although it was an almost disappointing prospect. She accepted the surge of power that emanated from the Tervingi Crest, allowing it to flood through her, for it was the most liberating sensation she had ever felt.
And before she knew it, she was on all fours, her clothes now awkward, her sword beneath her paw.
"Urr!?" the black wolf yelped, lifting her paw off her sword. And where'd that item go? Ed had no idea that the crest was within her until the time she chose to revert, hidden within the runes along her skin. But since her method of transformation really hadn't changed despite the crest's capabilities, her clothes still did not meld with her skin like laguz garb, and so the wolf whimpered and spent a few minutes yanking her clothes off.
Once the wolf was finally free of her restrictions, she shook her fur out and scooted the Aegis sword onto the pile of clothing she'd left behind. Perhaps this was unwise, for Ed would soon come to realize the consequences of using the Tervingi Crest.
Ed dashed into the cavern.
