After having spent the past hour failing to find his new friends anywhere on campus, Tekishi finally attempted the Library, the evil, silence infested hall of learning, and one of Tekishe's mortal enemies. He walked in, just in time to see Terry plow into Hiko.
"LIBRARY FOOTBALL?" He shouted excitedly before diving towards a nearby random student. He was stopped, mid bound, by a librarian who stood him up straight with a stern look and a shushing gesture. Dejected, he walked over to the pile of friends.
"Hey guys, what's up?

Slightly calmer now, Elspeth landed next to Terry, ceasing to glow but still without pigmentation in her eyes as she patted the boy on the back. "Are you okay? That punch wasn't called for at all after she dove into you like that... Wasn't it, Alex?" She looked to the other girl for approval.
The music stopped and she smiled at him, searching into her pocket for some cloth for his busted lip, holding it there. "..Your ears are cute."

Hikaru ran into Alex as she was storming away from Terry. Catching sight of her, she stopped, blushing an even deeper red than before (if such were even possible at this point) and waving her arms around frantically.
"ALEX! Um... that wasn't... er, I mean... what you saw there... I mean, what I said before, about guys... not what it looks like!"

"Mhm," Alex nodded towards Elspeth, but before she could confirm El's name, she turned back to Hikaru, "Hiko. Calm down," she smiled gently and glanced back at the pathetic scene, "I saw what happened. It wasn't really necessary to hit the poor guy. It was just an accident," she sighed and started searching through her bookbag, "Take this," she faced Terry, tilting her head and holding out a yellow potion, "It's one of my grandfather's recipes. It can get rid of the pain."

Terry blushes when El compliments his ears, and in turn grows a puppy nose. "S'not cute, it's embarassing."
He saw Hiko storming off and drooped. "I messed things up. That always happens. You should have seen the teacher's face in...Oh, hi Tek, I...uh..." Hair starts to grow around Terry's edges and he breathes deep. Trying to calm himself.
Now everyone was here, even Alex. Thank god Hiro didn't show up. He wasn't sure if he could handle that. Calm down and it'll go away. Calm down and it'll go away...

Terry took the potion and looked at it. "Thanks Alex," he said. He popped the cork and drank it down, focusing on the way it felt sliding down his throat. The pain in his jaw slowly tingled away as the brew did its work, and as he relaxed, his fur started to receed, his nose turning back into a normal, human, one.

"But, but, but, he-!" Hikaru, still blushing and covering her chest, pointed at Terry. It was so humiliating, and no one seemed to even care! Why was she the bad guy all of a sudden?
Any girl would've done the same thing in that situation! Right in the middle of the library courtyard! Who knows how many people must have seen that! she thought to herself.
Hikaru hung her head, her shoulders shaking a little as her brown hair fell forward to cover her face. She could feel eyes on her, and she knew it would be best at this point not to draw more attention to herself, but she couldn't help it.

Hi Terry, were you guys wrestling? I never get to do anything fun in the Library. I always get told to be quiet, no I cannot climb up on the bookshelves, get down from the bookshelves and the library is not a personal dominoes ground. Prolly 'cuz it was mostly girls. Lucky girls and their immunity to rules.
At this pont he noticed Alex.
"Hi, I don't know you! I'm Tekishe Lifang, nice to," he quickly spun around on his foot, ending in a flourish with his knees bent, one arm in the air above his head behind him, and the other anticipating a handshake from the new girl, "meet you."

"Your welcome," Alex nodded and turned back to Hikaru, noticing how tense she looked, "Don't worry about all of this. Just chill and forget what I said. It was probably just instinct anyway," she heaved another sigh and shut her bookbag before noticing Tekishe. She seemed dazzled by the fancy introduction, but only for a moment, "Oh, a pleasure meeting you," she smiled again and gently shook his hand, "I'm Alexandra Epifanio. But people seem to enjoy calling me Alex."

"I think you're always cute." She smiled brightly at Terry at this, blithely unaware once again as her eyes returned back to their normal colors. "But then again, it's really hard to see yourself with your own eyes. And if you do it too much, you go all cross-eyed."

"Hiko, that wasn't what. I'm sorry ok? I don't like you like that and I didn't mean to...to..." Terry hicups and it comes out as an "ARF!"
"Oh god."
*Hicup*
"Arf!"
*Hicup*
"ARF ARF!"
He stands, grabbing up his belongings.

Hikaru looked up, but not before wiping a few stray tears from the sides of her eyes. She of course attempted to make this look like she was rubbing at one of the bruises on her face that she got when she ran headlong into Terry.
You can't let them see you cry, Hiko. They'll just think you're some stupid weak girl, getting all embarrassed and weepy-eyed over a boy, she thought to herself.
She shook her head a little, dispelling this thought from her head. Following Alex over to Terry, she reached a hand out for him to shake, but was too late as he dashed off into the distance. Drooping her head again and frowning, she whispered something after him.
"...Sorry."

Alex looked down at the book Terry left behind and slowly bent down to pick it up, "Any idea of what that was all about?" she asked, referring to Terry's sudden exit, "I have a feeling he wasn't just embaressed," she narrowed her eyes, curious about the barking noises the boy had coming from him.

Hikaru shook her head sadly, clenching her fists at her sides.
"Just Terry being a stupid boy. This is why I hate boys," she muttered, kicking at the dirt angrily.
She turned to Alex, Tekishe, and Elspeth. Her characteristic grin was completely absent from her face, replaced by a sort of glum and contemplative half-frown.
"Uh, listen, guys... I'm not in much of a carnival mood anymore. Maybe we can hit it later tonight, but I just want to kinda relax a little bit right now. Sorry."
Without another word to her friends, Hikaru turned around and began to walk slowly back toward the dormitories.
