"Just an old healer. I'm sorry for shocking you." Kuro said.

User Image "Oh." Was all that Marrianna managed to say. "So it looks like I owe you, huh?" Marrianna cringed slightly as pain shot through her abdomine. Ow... I hate magic...

"No. I took it out of Kaleel's payment." He said. He put his hand on her abdomen and it glowed again relieving her pain.

"Oh well I still have plenty." Kaleel said shrugging.

((No. No he isn't.))

Ranquebus looked over the map in his tent, a lamp burning in a corner. Two of his best lessers were with him, poring over the map as well. "Where do we strike, sir?" One growled anxiously. "Be patient, Tiberus. Where do you think we should strike?" Ranquebus asked the other. "My general, I say we strike from the south. Captain Dealthi's venture from the north was successful at destroying the town, but all his forces were decimated. I think it's fair to say that the strongest Kujin forces are gathered there right now. If we strike from the south, I say we will find weak resistance, and we shall punch through the border and into the kingdom. From there, we can head north, retreating back into our empire should the need arise," the lesser demon commented calmly. "Excellent analysis, Chimerus. It's apparent that you were a top student at your military academy," Ranquebus purred. Chimerus bowed humbly. "Only to serve you, my general." "Very well," Ranquebus straightened. "We shall strike from the south, approximately three days march south from Dealthi's point. From there, the town of Treebend shall be our preliminary target. Afterwards, we shall continue south, away from whatever resistance Dealthi met with in the north, decimating as many towns along the way as possible. Tiberus, muster the troops." "Yes, my general."

User Image Marrianna blinked as the pain in her abdomine faded away. She looked at Kaleel as she stood. "I don't know about you, but it's dark outside and I wouldn't mind going to bed after the day I've just had." She walked towards the tent's flap and turned to Kuro. With a slight bow she thanked him and redirected her attention back to Kaleel. "So. Care to take me back to the villiage? I haven't the slightest idea where we are..."

"I suppose that's the best idea." Kaleel said walking out with her.

Relgan walked through the decimated village helping survivors as much as he could.

User Image The travel was a relatively short one. Conversation was kept to a minimum. Probably because Marrianna was used to traveling alone. A companion made it somwhat akward. When they reached their destination, or what was left of it, Marrianna's mood went further south. People were crying, corpses filled the streets, and smoke still rose from buildings. "...This is horrible..." Marrianna said with clenched fists. She turned and ran into the near by woods. She leaned against a tree and slid down, holding her knees to her chest. "I've had enough. I don't want to see anyone else die..." Marrianna was usually emotionally stronger than this. Why was this getting to her? Maybe she blamed herself? Instead of watching and waiting, she could have acted! Sparing most of the lives that were taken!

Kaleel calmly walked over to Marianna and squated down next to her. "You okay?" He asked her not knowing why exactly he was trying to comfort her.

Relgan went back home to rest. He'd had a rather dissappointing day. He failed to protect the town, his swords had crumbled to dust, and the weapon shops were destroyed in the attacks.

User Image "Yes..." Marrianna said hesitantly. "I mean no... I don't know..." She hid her face in her knees for a while and tried to drown out all sound. When she failed, she looked back up again. "...I've seen death. I've seen destruction. I've seen almost everything in this world. But... I can't help but blame myself for most of those dead people in the villiage..." Marrianna could feel tears starting to form, but she wouldn't let them fall. She just buried her face back into her knees. It wasn't long until Marrianna had drifted into sleep.

/ooc= I gotta go. Sorry for the random emotional moment. Just felt this role-play needed one somewhere! Heh, I've noticed that I'll leave you in the most random points of my character's little moments. Sorry 'bout that./

Kaleel looked down to the ground. He didn't know how to handle emotional situations. "Um...You shouldn't blame yourself. People died because demons invaded and slaughtered people. You had nothing to do with it. A lot of people fought and still a lot of people died. There wasn't much that anyone could do. But I'm sure they're in a better place now. So don't blame yourself for what happened. Blame the demons...because it wasn't your fault so please don't think that it was."

A travelling merchant came into the town looking around at the destruction. "What the hell happened here?" He said to himself.

[[I'm starting the next attack. The location is about three days south of Briarsbend, the town you all are currently in, if anybody's interested in coming to play hero... although be warned, the demons are in a much higher number and are also more powerful.]]

A messenger rushed into the town square, doubling over with exhaustion. "Hurry!" he gasped. "The demons are approaching Treebend! Our scouts couldn't even count their numbers, and our local garrison is heavily outnumbered! Will anyone help us?

Ranquebus smiled. This was the sight he loved most, dully glistening armor in the morning sun, a river of muscular bodies flowing across the land like a foul tide. This is what he lived for, what he fought for. Riding atop a black horse, fully armored, Ranquebus could feel the ichor and madness rushing through his bodies. The humans will all die as this wave crashes upon them, he thought gleefully. And we shall bring this dying empire to its knees.

((I'll do it lol))

Relgan heard the cry of the scout. "Damnit! If only I had my sword with me!"
The merchant stepped in front of Relgan. "Swords you ask?" He examined Relgan for a moment and pulled out four katanas sticking them all into the ground each one having a different colored hilt. One red, one blue, one silver, and one gold. "Defend this place with these." He said.
Relgan looked at the merchant like a miracle just appeared. "Thank you. I'll return them shortly." He said taking them out of the ground. He felt a surge of energy go through him as he ran towards the gate gathering what little troops he could. In the end there were only 16 including him. Somehow he got them all to trust him in being their leader...for now...

[[lol that merchant was a godsend xd the attack's going to start probably tomorrow night, in case other people want to come help also.]]

The scout sighed a breath of relief. But it still wasn't enough. "Please! Is there anyone else that can help? Please don't let Treebend be destroyed by those demons!"
