Closing her eyes and leaning against his shoulder, she was thankful for the moment Sasuke carried her. Her heart had long payned for this and finally was recieving it's requests after just giving up. But she still couldn't help but be concerned about her friend..
If he had beaten himself up the past 3 times she'd seen him training alone, there was no denying he'd beaten himself up now.
'Duty as a shinobi comes first..relationships come second..' she reminded herself, rewording what she had read in so many scrolls into a much simpler phrase.
She was lucky Sasuke had carried her for such a distance, she was finally able to regain most of her energy. Barely enough for a good run and a decent healing in case Jeiden had most definitely bashed himself to a bloody pulp once more.
Pushing her hands against his chest, Sakura wormed her way regretably from Sasukes careful clutch. Stepping onto her feet, she stood before him, a less worn than the previous Sakura so many minutes ago. "Sasuke-kun.. I really appreciate you carrying me and all, I'm actually very honored. But I think I might need to go back and do something.. " she parted the bangs in front of his face and stared at him. "Please stay here for now okay? I'll come back to you with an answer.."
She half smiled and turned back, running towards where they had once been and trailing the tracks Jeiden had so obviously left behind.
'I'm sorry Sasuke.. but duty does come first, even I told you that..'

After several more unsuccessful tries, Jeiden fell to his knees. "One.....more.....try..." He said between heavy gasps for air. Out of sheer will, he got into a standing position, gathered up the very last of his chakra and yelled, "Hyōton, Kokuryūbō Fūsetsu!" He put every last bit of energy into retaining his chakra at a perfect balance.
A black dragon with piercing red eyes shot forth from his arm, and completely destroyed the tree he was aiming at. "Heh...knew I could do it..." And with that he collapsed face down in the dirt, now drooling and snoring loudly. A smirk seemed glued on his face.

Shadows that had once been so short soon were overpowering the forest floor as she continued to track Jeiden. The trees, that were once so easy to wrap one's arms around were now thicker than the stone pillars that held up the office of the Hokage. Wild animals that could possibly be dangerous lived out here.. why would Jeiden come out to such a dangerous area to train? It was ludicrous unless he were a chuunin!
A flash out of the corner of her eye, up ahead, Northwest.
Sakuras head looked in the direction and stalled her search for a moment. The stench of burning flesh stung her nose and made her face cringe not only at the smell, but at the idea of Jeiden sitting there as burnt as toast.
'Don't tell me you've chakra fried yourself to death..' she silently prayed as she creeped behind a large tree from the general direction of the lighting. Sure enough.. Jeiden was there and not more than a few yards away.. and apparently he was working with 2nd degree burned arm.
"Jeiden! You're hurting yourself!" she scolded him. " If you wear out that arm practicing, you're probally not going to be able to use it again since it might just fall off!"

She bet he didn't even hear her nagging.
He hit the floor snoring before anything could reach his ears. Mentally slapping herself in the forehead, Sakura went ahead and sat on her knees before the collapsed, drooling form.
He was even snoring and had a smirk on his face.
Most likely he had accomplished something to be proud of. His efforts were something she wish she could only have a slice of. Smiling fondly, she ran a hand through his bangs, and shook her head. "Stupid.. knocking yourself out with so much training.. what if some animal smelled that scorched arm and came to eat you..?"

Inspecting his arm, she wouldn't be suprised if it got infected within a few days without treatment. She also didn't doubt that most likely he would have a few scars despite her healing efforts. She frowned out of the corner of her mouth, boys, all them are so rough on themselves. From skinned knees to dislocated shoulders, they all seemed to ask for pain.
Okay, enough thinking. Nurse at work.
"Alright.. Alright.. Yosh.." she clapped her hands together and pulled them back, centering them over his injured limb.
"Chiyute no Jutsu.." she murmured, patching up the swollen and scorched tissue with care. Watching as the color of his skin returned to normal, Sakura couldn't help but give a sigh. She was always going to be healing him.
But at least right now she could test her new medical jutsus!
Suddenly she didn't seem so disappointed Jeiden had hurt himself, she was actually kinda glad she had a guinea pig!

Jeiden's face twitched slightly, as if he knew what she was planning. He rolled over so his back was facing Sakura, leaving a large drool stain on the ground where he previously layed. "I dun wanna...no...." He murmured while stirring slightly, then he fell silent.

After the arm was completely healed, Sakura could barely contain her excitement. Her first real test subject! She had tried it on so many of her flowers that many of them had now gone to where all those good flowers go when they die.
She dispelled the jutsu and eagerly cracked her knuckles.
'Alright! let's see if this really works! But first.. where is that one spot he got stabbed in...?" she looked around over his side, poking a little into it. She found the rough spot, evidently still hard with healing.
"Yup.. that's it.." she did a few hand seals, pulling her hands away, the placing them back onto the once mortal wound. She intended to fully fix it up.. and then some.
"Chouite ittai no justu." she murmured, awaiting the results as the chakra at her fingertips tingled like pins and needles. It was a mild pain on her part, but at least in return he'd have the pain blocked in his side and a nice wake up call.

Jeiden's eyes opened, Sakura was there, and healing him. "What are you doing?" He said feebily, she was healing an already repaired spot. "You already healed me there.." He sat up and flexed his repaired arm. "Good as new..." He punched the ground once.

She pulled her hands away, suprised to see him already up. But still a little disappointed. "I was just seeing if I could heal internally yet.. " she pouted a little and rubbed her neck, looking down. " I can fix wounds n' all that are open.. but as for stopping heart attacks or unwinding cramps.. I can't do that."
"I figured that if you were still hurting there when we began fighting.. there also must've been some internal bruising too besides the incision.."

She was quiet for a little while, watching as he flexed and pounded his newly healed arm into the ground. She felt proud of her abilities.
"Jeiden-kun.. you still mad from before?" she looked at him questioningly, " I tried to say something but you kinda.. stormed off."

"Sorry...it's just that Sasuke gets under my skin way to easily...If I fight him in the Chuunin exams, I'll go all out and kick his a**.." He cracked his neck and stood up. "I learned a new jutsu...one from the snow country..." He sounded extremely proud of himself, did Sakura even know about the Snow Country? Jeiden only knew of it from his father's notes...He gave a shrug then tossed the thought out of his mind.
"Anyways, I'm feeling better now. I just finally got the chance to blow off some steam."

"Apology accepted Jeiden-kun, and I'm glad you're alright now!" she smiled.
"I really was worried about if any of the things I said really did get to you.." she tilted her head a little to the side and lightly blushed, embaressed. "I'm sorry if I did.. really." She gave him a slight apologetic but friendly hug and stepped back, hands folding neatly behind her.
"So, about this technique and 'snow country'.. mind showing or telling me about it? Ne..?"

For what might have been the first time, he didn't blush when she hugged him. "You'll see at the Chuunin exams, I'm too low on chakra right now to show it." He gave a sly grin. "I'm heading back to Konoha now, it's time to get ready for the exams now!" He disappeared in a blur, now proudly displaying every bit of speed he possessed.
