Cole fell onto his bunk, the cotten scratching against his skin. *Jesus, just 4 months ago, we had little to no chance of surviving against the Covenant. Then we found Halo and we've been giving those buggers what for.* he thought to himself. (( Note: If we are under attack, I'll add that.))

*Gangrel returned to the base on Theta Halo. It wasnt the first time he had seen marines die. He had been a front line soldier for 5 years.

Tom was in a strange place, being chased by covenant-like monsters, but they weren't the covenant. They were all gray, for one thing. and they were just maoning as they chased him, and, most confusing of all, they weren't shooting him as they chased him, noticeably weird behavior for the covenant. All of a sudden, a bulbous one appeared from around the corner Tom was about to turn. He shoved it aside, and was about to make his stand with just his fists and feet when the fat one exploded, propellinbg hom toward the mass of bodies, crushing a couple beneath him, but more kept coming. He managed to kick his way out, and began to run the way he had come. A tiny one began to bounce towards him, almost harmless looking. "hey, little guy, what are you doing here?" he asked the little creature, holding out his hand as a sign of friendship. The creature hopped from the ground to his hand, but didn't stop, hopping once more to his neck and plunging a needle into his spine. Tom screamed in excruciating pain, and woke up. He frantcally turned his head this way and that, and began to remember where he was. He was in his little cave by the butte, in the same place he had been at the end of the battle with the mini-nuclear explosion. He listened intently for a second, waiting to hearbanshees or covenant, but there were none around. None around that were making any noise, anyway. He began attempting to get a COM link with anyone who could tell him what had happened.

"Hello, is anyone there? This is staff sargent (EDIT: now I have)Tom Craig reporting in, can anyone hear me?"

"Jesus Jack! How did you get all these dents to the control panels?" shouted Cole. "I just patched these up last month!!" "Hehe, sorry Cole, just a wee habit 'o mine." said Jack, the pilot of the Eregion, Pelican class-B2, embarrassed. "Well, habit yourself on something other than THE DASHBOARD!!!" Enraged, Cole threw his screwdriver to Markus, and marched out of the hangar. *Geez, goin a wee bit overboard, 'innhe mate?* whispered Jack to Markus "Nah, he's just got some anger issues when it comes to his 'Precious Pellies' gettin nicked" he responded from under the Pelican.
