"First I'd like to see you kiss your fiancee," Damian said, tipping his bottle towards them playfully. He was trying to be upbeat, where for Raquel it seemed to come easily. Why? It made him uneasy, as if she were planning something or trying to make him second guess himself at every turn.
Lorey blushed and laughed, but placed her bottle down on the table for the sake of it all.
"Well come here," she said, already wrapping her arms around his neck.

Richard smiled kissing Lorey passionately for all to see, causing Raquel to let out a joking seductive 'wooh!' as she laughed. "save that for the honey moon!" She laughed, standing with a shake of her head and a big smile. "now cut that out we have children about." She added as Trinity stretched near her. Raquel scooped her up, covering her eyes jokingly a** he went off to the kitchen to pilfer the fridge.
Richard laughed, blushing slightly but didn't mind too much. He loved his Lorey and was so happy.

Lorey at first was kissing him rather politely, but soon found herself wide-eyed at his boldness, which she gladly returned.
Even though she was blushing from her cheeks to her neck, Lorey was finding it thrilling to be outgoing in front of others.
"Woo," she said with a comical fanning with her hand.
"Yes, you two will be just fine." Unlike him and Raquel. He still had to figure out what was going on with her.
"Well, Lorey, I'll let you go get ready for your interview, and I suppose we'll all walk into each other later..."

Richard nodded, giving Lorey one more kiss before stepping back. "I'm going to find Enty...I'll Catch up with you all alter today...I love you Lorey..." He said with a silly grin before running to find his shoes.
Raquel Was in the kitchen on a counter, idly eating a carton of yogurt she found while skimming the news paper that was lying there. Trinity managed to jump up and join her, pawing at the loose paper curiously. "We'll see you guys tonight maybe?" She called, saying her goodbyes as she kept her eyes down on the articles.

"I'm sure you will!" Lorey said, dashing off to the shower after just one more stolen kiss from Richard. It seemed that life could not become any better.
Damian, meanwhile, thought life could not become more complicated. Slowly but surely he made his way into the kitchen. He fetched his own bit of yogurt out, eating it nonchalantly by Raquel. A minute or so passed before he actually said anything.
"So... is everything..." he tried, but soon couldn't stand it. Damian placed his yogurt down upon the counter in exasperation. "Raquel, I am sorry, I just..."

Raquel cocked an eyebrow at him taking another bite. "What are you- Oh. Oh ok Damian..." She shook her head and laughed a little. "Don't be sorry. I was being ridiculous and you were absolutely right." She shrugged it off, going back to her yogurt as she picked the paper back up. "Hey, you know what, I can actually read some of the articles in here...." She noted, changing the subject. "I've been trying to read a little more every day. I keep meaning to ask Lorey for some help though...So sweet how they're getting married..." She added distantly as she kept her eyes on the paper.

Something still wasn't... right. Damian tried to stick his face under hers so that instead of the newspaper, she was looking at a very worried face.
"But we fought. We were both being ridiculous. And you are... alright with everything?"
He even cocked an eyebrow at this changed Raquel. Making small talk while reading the morning paper? What next?

Raquel sighed and put down her paper, giving him an exasperated smile. She leaned in, closing her eyes and kissing him gently. She pulled back, looking him in the eye, playing with a bit of his hair. "Yes, I'm fine." She said hastily with a nod, scooting herself off the table. She casually tossed her yogurt in the trash and her spoon in the sink before turning him again. "Why shouldn't I be?" She asked, though all casual smiles were now vacant from her face.

At this point, he was peering so intently at her that his already thin eyes were squinting.
"Because I yelled at you and I have never done that before..." he said in the same slow tone, as if questioning himself. "And I feel terrible for it, but you are... alright?" he continued.
The morning light coming through the window cast shapes upon the floor and ceiling that danced with the leaves outside. Everything was calm and peaceful. So why wasn't his mind at ease with her simple answer?

Raquel stopped, her eyes flashing anything but happiness for a split second. "Like I said...I was being ridiculous...despite how unpleasant it was, I deserved it fully alright?" She said curtly, her eyes holding a grave seriousness before lightening up to their happy mood again. "So what are you up to today?" She asked, turning to pick up Trinity so that she might get the poor cat some food.

At that, Damian threw his hands up in the air. She drove him crazy. And this time it was not in the good way.
"You did not under any circumstances deserve my impatience and short-temper!" he said, not even realizing he was already falling victim to it again. "I should have supported you and tried to go deeper into the problem, not become livid. I am sorry, but do not think you deserve anything like that."
He leaned his lower back upon the counter's edge, looking tired. This was what he had contemplated all the night long, even while swimming and eating that wretched toast.

At his uproar Raquel lost her demeanor. "Fine then, Apology bloody accepted! I'm fine and dandy now alright!?" She yelled back, her hands on her hips. "I took your advice and I handled my problems, so they're non existent anymore ok!?" she slammed her fist on the table next to them, her whole body shaking a little from anger. She kept her fist on the counter top, breathing heavy angry breaths as she scowled away from him.

"How the hell did you square away something as horrendous as what you told me about?" he said, his own voice rising as he rose to face her head on at the table. "I haven't dealt with the full situation concerning my father yet, and I still am not able to come to terms with his murder! So how did you, in one night, become 'fine and dandy'?"
It was amazing how one conflict in one night had set them so far apart. Damian still loved her, but this was all ridiculous.

Raquel didn't flinch or falter as he faced her, though her eyes narrowed the more he yelled. She gave herself a moment before answering, trying to calm down. "It's because of that alright!?" She explained, agitated at all this. "My problems, are exactly that. My Problems. You've got too much on you're plate to take anymore weight from me. You say I'm strong? Well I'm proving you right now. I'm dealing with my own problems in my own way so I'd appreciate it if you backed the hell off!" By this time, she was screaming at him, her eyes watering and her finger jabbed dangerously close to his face.

"I can always take more weight, because I love you, and you drive me right up the damn wall!" But he did back off, first physically, by taking a few steps back from her angry jabs and face.
"But fine, alright, you win. You deal with these things in your own way, and I'll try to find answers in mine."
Damian only stayed a few moments to see if she consented to that plan. He tried not to give her an angry gaze, but there was no hiding the frustration in it all.
