Shatter the freedom that comes with the sky... Queenie looked over at Narissa. "Oh, please," she replied gratefully. "I don't think I could carry the humans AND this..." she gazed at the wolf in thought. "This... Reign Guardian as well. Thank you."  You know death has come when time is an eye.

Shef stuck his head for the second time that day out of a bush, twigs and rattails causing his hair to seem more like a bird's nest than a mane of blond hair. He felt itchy... Shef didn't quite know why, but it was because he was sitting in the equivalent of fire ants. Ethereal fire ants. They stung very painfully.
"AAAAAAAAUGH!!!!"
Shef was out of that bush, running in a random direction, and tripped and landed his face in the dirt/mud for what was probably the fifth time that day.
"AAAAAAA-oomph!"

Kiki looked down at Shef, amused. Although, he was rather stupid.
She sighed, and unclipped from her little jungle skirt a canteen of liquid.
Kiki held onto the branch with her legs and leaned over the side slightly, and opened up the flask as he lay writhing in the dirt. Quietly she tipped the flask and a cascade of clear liquid poured onto his back.
The fire ants started to be repelled by this and scuttled away to dry themselves.
The liquid smelled like spearmint and oats. Afterward, Kiki dropped the canteen with it onto his back.

Shef pivoted on his back, clutched his face, and sort of kicked the nearest tree in what was both a tantrum and in pain. "Owowow. It hurts!"
His body was covered in red spots--bites or stings--and they were indeed still painful.
Luckily, Ethereal fire ants did not secrete venom, but instead actually sucked blood, similar to vampire bats. Except vampire bats sucked no blood, but lapped it up with their tongue.
The same principle applied, though.

Kiki looked at Shef kicking her beloved tree.
Ignoring him, she looked with dismay at her poor muddy canteen.
Kiki sighed, and looked around the tree branch, and down to Shed, Shell,
whatever his name was.
"Kicking the tree- is not going to cure ant stings."
He didn't seem to be listening.
"If you don't treat them they'll just get worse."
He didn't seem to understand that.
"You might just die."
She fibbed.
Kiki waited another over-dramatic response.

Narissa took Falian and Reign upon herself, watching as Kiki tormented the nest-haired boy. She could grow to like this girl.
Refraining from telling Shef the truth about the ants, Harlin watched the path ahead, letting Damascus bound ahead of the group. He assumed that this--for most of them--was their first time in the Ether. Likewise, they didn't have a shelter planned for them.

Shef paused mid-kick at this. As he remained frozen in place, his eyes edged slowly up to stare at Coco, Kitten, whoever the hell she was. "Are you serious? OW!"
Shef flipped with pretty good agility from his back onto his hands and knees, then stood up and made as if to run to that Harold guy, the healer. But then he tripped on a canteen and sent it careening past trees and into eternal underbrush. Probably lost forever.
And Shef pulled his face out of the dirt/mud for the sixth time that day, or so.

Kiki frowned.
Her canteen was now gone. Great. It takes a good amount of time making one, let alone finding travellers who have them.
Kiki rolled her eyes at Shef's antics. It would be almost too easy taking his belongings, that it wasn't really worth it anymore.
She waited for him to get up.
Then again, he'd probably get lost, and since she knew the forest like the back of her pretty hand she would have to help him..
A-gain.
Kiki sighed, and her head looked under the tree branch, to see how he was doing.
{By the way, what powers would you think a fox has? }

Shef was standing now, but he could not stand still. Constantly scratching at the bites, he was literally a kid filled with red polka-dots.
This didn't add to his unattractive features in the slightest.

"I could show you a place to wash. The freezing water could help those bites."
She mused, silently laughing in her head.
Kiki shrugged, acting suprisingly cavalier, and went back to sprawling across her branch. She knew it wouldn't be long until she was needed for some mundane task.

Shef eyed Kiki doubtfully. Probably, a stream with piranhas or leeches or sommat? No thank you.
"What, with a stream with piranhas or leeches or something? No thank you."
Although, were he to look back on this day later, Shef would thank Kiki for disregarding his wishes and forcing him to unwillingly travel to said icy stream, strip naked, and plunge headfirst into the water.
You know, if she so chose to do, at any rate.
But present-time Shef would detest the vixious wood-squirrel with all his might for about two days.

Kiki shrugged.
"Allright. I was just pointing it out there,"
She started airily, sighing with her words.
"What with that searing burn sensation you'll get in a few moments."
Kiki told him with another little supposedly oblivious shrug.
She wasn't really intending on getting a swim. She was more concerned with what was in that backpack. I mean, he couldn't take it swimming with him, could he? Kiki smiled.
