Leon sighed at Engela "an arrow in the stomach and another one in the arm he's a tough one though like his father just as stubborn too.." he sighed and looked down and said "i was hoping war would never touch our kids..." he looked at Engela and Mathias "maybe we can keep war away from yours though...if you want them to stay away from that of course"
Maverick grunted as he marched off furious "those stupid heroes just couldn't let it be eh? how sad seems they want to die their time is up though its time for new heroes to arise a new era to come"

Mathias shook his head. "I do worry about it, I have a right to get pissed when someone talks bad about you." Letting it go though, Mathias looked serious at Vix and Leon then smirked. "Aura said she had to help someone. Wonder if somehow she felt your boy... We'll find out when we get back hom." Turning to Leon, Mathais shook his head. "No, it won't stay away from them. They already want to go out and explore and make something of themselves. Einon definately, and I can only assume the same is true for Aura."
"That may be true sis, but it's cause dad loves her." Einon said, trying to defend his father a little. Then he shook his head and laughed. "No, you're right, he's whipped." He raised his hand and took a ribbon from Aura then spun it back into a ball.
Artemis just stared at the two of them, watching them effortlessly use magic. He still had to use his staff for complex things. Yea, he could create little objects or streams of water with just his hands, but the intricate things these two were doing were WAY beyond his skill. They were just PLAYING. "How..did you two get so good at your powers?"

Alexa chuckled. "Well, I could try taking a turn, but I'm afraid I couldn't move as fast. I promise to set up camp when we stop, though," she said.

Aura laughed at her brother. "If only all arguments were so easy for me to win," she replied. To Artemis, she replied briefly, "Heredity." Then she smiled and added, "Well, our parents taught us a lot, and then they drilled it into us that we needed to practice, too. So we do." She lifted her ribbons, which she had been lazily weaving into a kind of zigzag pattern, as proof. Glancing over at her brother, she stole the ball back, making it into a ribbon again and adding it to her weaving. "I needed one more," she told him as she tied the weaving's ends into a strange sort of knot.

Engela nodded briefly when Mathias spoke. "She's ready to leave home, too. Really, I think she's been wanting to go out into the world for a while. I just..." She sighed faintly, then laughed. "I always told myself I'd never be that kind of mother, but I turned into one anyway. I'm just not ready to let them go." Shaking her head at her own folly, she said, "If that boy thinks to make another empire, Leon, we won't be able to protect our children from war. And to be honest, it might be doing them a disservice if we try."

Alexa considered. "How about here?" she inquired after a few minutes, when they passed into a fairly empty plain. "With those arrow wounds, you don't want to be putting too much pressure on them right away." Then she flushed a little, embarrassed to be caught sounding like she was worried.

Alexa nodded, scanning the field for what she wanted - that was to say, a bare spot for a fire pit. Noting one, she started walking that way, replying, "I'm sure you have. But it pays to be careful every now and again, whether we want to be or not."
Despite her sombre words, she was smiling a little as she went through the field looking for proper-sized rocks.

(i was part of the first great war. Kray the only surviving bad guy from the original rp.)
the 2 ran for some time. Balon followed Kray and suddenly, a village appeared out of nowhere. it was completely destroyed thought. "where did..." Balon began.
"this is my home. well use to be anyways. because we were protection the dark artifacts, a barrier was put up. no one but the people who lived here was suppose to know how to enter the barrier. again somehow word got out."
"why are we here?"
"just follow and you will know soon enough." Kray walked through the village and stopped before a pile of rubble. he pushed aside the remains of a fallen wall to reveal a set of stairs that lead down somewhere. by the light of the moon, Kray went in and Balon followed. "find a hollow place in the ground. your trial will start in the moring but we have to find it first."
"what?"
"you wanted to become more powerful right? well there are dark artifacts here that will grant you that power but you must first pass there trials. there should be a hole somewhere here that leads to the artifacts. your trial will start in the moring." and with that, the 2 began to search.

Leon nodded at Engela "i suppose your right but i hope this doesn't erupt into a war like 20 years ago" he shook his head "such a tragedy such young died senslessly" he looked down and sighed

the 2 stumped around and soon after, Balon found a hollow spot. Kray came over examining the stone. “Yea, this is it.” He said running his hand over the words of forgotten language I’m a bit rusty on my translations of this but I think I can make out most of it. Kray thought to himself. He hit several of the stones several times muttering to himself until finally, after about 10 minuets, the floor moved apart to reveal a tunnel. “we’ll rest here tonight and you can take the test in the morning.” Kray said as he headed for the stairs. “you’ll need the rest.”
Balon followed. a test huh? I wonder what kind of test. Well Kray got his powers this way as well right? This could get bad if I’m not careful. they made a fire, and eat what Kray had brought along. “when did you grab all this?”
“I have been preparing for this trip. We took it earlier than I had expected but that doesn’t matter.”
“why did we have to come so fast anyways?”
“I told you the word of the items of power got out right. Well what will prevent people from searching for the village? Eventually someone will find it and I rather not take the risk of someone else having such power if they are not going to serve under me.” What he didn’t tell Balon was of the 2 energies he had been sensing that was getting ever closer. They had stopped for the night but still, they would most likely reach here by the next day when Balon was already taking his test.

Alexa chuckled. "Sure. You've been working all day. Only fair that I take my turn," she replied lightly. Then she wandered out, looking for firewood.

Engela closed her eyes for a minute. She knew who he was speaking of. Although many young people had been lost in the war, there was only one that they had all been close enough to to make it hurt still, after so long. "They won't end up the same way, Leon," she said quietly. "They're older." Siobhan had been fifteen - a child. Aura and Einon - and she believed Alex and Alexa, too - were nearly grown. They had been raised with stories of war and knew how to handle themselves. At least, Aura and Einon did. She couldn't speak for Vix's children.

(Kray is already, almost imortal. he came from the village and his sword is from the village. he was the one who destoryed the village in the first place. he looks in his early 20s but he is over 40 years of age. like i said, he took part in the first great war. this is all for Balon. he's actually thinking of getting the 2 of you to join him, for now since he hasn't seen your faces yet.)
Balon suddenly slumped over and fell asleep. he had just finished his food and seemed about to talk. the dark orb must be used up. Kray thought to himself. they were here now and no one was going to find the village at night unless by pure luck. he sighed and looked up at the night sky. the village brought back many memories and he smiled to himself. this was where he first experianced power, this was going to be where his rise to power started, and this was where Balon would get his power as well. he just smiled, almost everything was going in the right direction.

Engela smirked a little. "And so modest, too. That's got to count for even more," she replied demurely. "I'm sure they'll be able to handle themselves in the world, Leon."
Her gaze went to Vix, softening a little at the woman's concerned face. She knew that the other woman was thinking of her missing daughter. Understandably. If Aura had vanished like that and there'd been no bond between them, she would be worrying about her child constantly - even with Einon there to assure her that the girl was all right. It just wouldn't be the same.
