Exp is the only way to level up...

Chakra is the only thing you can use for techniques.

Level draining? Sounds like god-modding... There is already a chakra absorption technique...

And Impure World Resurrection is forbidden... so anything to do with rising the dead, or taking souls... is forbidden.

Level Draining is a valid technique...that or you've never ever gone up against a vampire on a DnD game. The level draining is technically permanent unless healed...in a DnD game this is usually done by a priest of sorts. In this guild I would imagine a Jounin level Medic-nin or a specialist Medic-nin. This one wouldn't be Forbidden, because it's not permanent and you can't reduce a level below 1, so... (Usually, your level can only be reduced a few times and not by much each time)

Hm, the Princess Hokage, uses a technique that allows her body to be completely restored at the cost of her life force. In a sense, a great healing power could be used at the cost of ones Experience. (Would that be a better example). It would also be a forbidden technique of course, the main reason that most forbidden techniques exist, is that they involve draining the life force of the user, so spending Exp for said Healing Power would be no exception. Of course it might be possible to create a whole new string of techniques based on this principle.

Well, I can't go and do major changes to the system so you can manipulate exp... people will get ******** off and leave...

I think you should work around CHAKRA... because that is what the Narutoverse is about...

Also, there is Hp... meaning the total could be deducted...

1000/1000 -does that technique- 900/900... But I think that is god modding here... so... just work with the system that exists now... because... I have no authority to do major changes.

What about the Spending Exp? Of course it's the guild that would validate the techniques from that system...and it's the user who spends their own Exp. Perhaps instead of Chakra?

Spending Exp has been used in some games as a way of making it more challenging. One game in particular offers a high class user to be able to ressurect a friend or npc at the cost of his own levels. Usually there's a chance rating involved with this technique, in so much that it's not certain to work even if your level is high enough to give you the best chance and usually said character ends up unconscious.

Then again, said game also allows respawning... so...

Senbon: The senbon was first used by doctors in acupuncture, it was then adopted by ninja and Hunter-nins to hit points on the body to cause death, deaden limbs or cause their target to fall unconscious.
Damage: 1 - 2 + Dex. mod.
Range: 30 ft.
Special: Can throw six senbon per turn. "In other words 3 from each hand."

You could use it at close range to target pressure points... if you know them. But you might need to do a sneak attack check.

I can see all the great stuff that could bring, but seeing as it's never been in the system before, and we've just gone through a major system change, and people would get seriously pissed if they lost the exp they worked really hard for, or that we don't want to confuse the system much more to gain more members, I don't think it's possible to do that.

That's why I had the idea of locking it the higher ranks of a class...but seeing as how we seem to have completely lost those....

Nah, that just seems like cheating to me... because as I said, all techniques in Narutoverse (excluding taijutsu) cost CHAKRA.

It's NOT DnD, this is Naruto... Chakra is the only thing that can be used for techniques... except taijutsu... which is just... basically like fighting in real life with a bit of exaggeration.

Alright, just so we understand each other. I'm okay that it's not going to be allowed, that's fine.

BUT you just raised a point which I want to uh...argue...so... I'll pm you! ^-^

Umm.... what the hell?

Taijutsu: This skill measures your skill in hand to hand or unarmed combat thus allowing you to deal more damage to your opponents based on the skill lvl.
Bonus: Every skill point will grant you + 1 – 2 damage. Also every 10 skill points will grant you a +2 to your attack roll.

Ninjutsu: This skill measures your knowledge and power when performing a ninjutsu technique. This skill is used as prerequisite for learning ninjutsu techniques and also allows you to make your ninjutsu way more powerful.
Bonus: Every skill point will grant you + 2 – 4 damage when using a ninjutsu. Also every skill point counts when attempting to learn a new ninjutsu. Every 10 skill points will grant you a +2 to the Reflex DC required for others to escape your ninjutsu.

Genjutsu:This skill measures your ability to use genjutsu and the strength said illusions possess when breaking through your opponent's mental barriers. This skill also measures your ability to learn new genjutsu. Thus every skill point counts when attempting to learn a new genjutsu.
Bonus: Every skill point will grant you +2 - 4 extra MHp damage when using a genjutsu. Every 10 points in this skill will futher grant you +2 to the Will DC for others to resist or break from your genjutsu. Also, as your knowledge in the Genjutsu arts increases you obtain an additional +2 per 10 points bonus to your Will saves when resisting Genjutsu.

I think it's to reflect the "progression" of a character.

As you put more points into a skill, you become stronger in that area, therefore dealing more damage. What's wrong with it o_o
