"I think my father has long forgotten his age...." Faust said. "In all honesty the description 'dirty old man' fits him best probably."

"Haha-I like her," he said to Faust. "You should bring her by at night sometime and-"
"And just what is going on here?" a voice cut him off.
"Uh-oh....." Faust's father lowered his in the water."
"M-mother?!" Faust stuttered.
Moon approached out of the cover of the trees.

"Duck?" Moon gave them a questionable look and stared out over the lake.
"I-it must have gotten startled and flew off...." Faust replied.
Moon raised an eyebrow. "What are you two up to?" she asked as she gazed at the lake water.

"Wildlife, huh?" Moon said as she turned her attention towards Faust. "And what wildlife have you seen thus far?"
"Well....." Faust mumbled. "There was the duck....and some sparrows...."
A ripple in the water distracted Moon for a moment....

"Alright...." Moon replied-still not convinced. "Just be careful. I have to get back to my patrol.......Faust-I want you home by sun down. Alright?"
"Yes, mother," Faust responded.
Moon narrowed her eyes as she took one last look over the lake and left-the sound of her hooves faded in the distance.
Faust sighed in relief. "Thanks....." he said to Lamia. However he did feel bad about lying to his mother.

"Well-that was close," Faust's father reappeared-laughing nervously. "I was afraid she had spotted me. The last time her and I chatted she froze me in a block of ice."

Faust's father sighed, "Yeah.....I hope it's not an experience I have to repeat."
Faust shoke his head. "Perhaps, if your actions didn't provoke her wrath you wouldn't have had that experience in the first place," he said.
"Oh come now....don't start acting like your mother," Faust's father pleaded. "It was just harmless flirting with those ladies. Besides it isn't like her and I are married-she shouldn't get so mad."
"It's what the flirting leads to that makes her upset-it upsets me to you know!" Faust snapped-a slight tone of anger rose in his voice.
