((YOU ARE THE QUICKEST POSTER IN THE WEEEST... SOUTH.. something. I need to study for my exam tomorrow :d.... BUT I'MMA DO THIS BEFORE I SLEEP!))
Leah tilted her head up at him as he spoke and quirked her mouth. "You're crazy." She said to him. "American sweets are GROSS, but the amazing kind of gross!" She explained to him, again speaking probably louder than necessary and realizing she was making a fool of herself. "... Saul likes them." She said instead. "He's this friend of mine... we eat breakfast together one a week... I mean." She tugged at the ends of her hair with a hand, unsure of why she was still speaking to this guy, and then shook her head trying to ignore the voice of reason in her head, the voice that kept reminding her how socially inept she was.
"You're weird. If someone offered me free doughnuts I'd be on that so fast... I'm talking too much- holdon." She said suddenly as her coat pocket began to vibrate. Somehow she was grateful for the distraction.
Leah extracted her cellphone, eyes on Abel as she answered. "Hello?" She frowned. "I'm almost there... yeah. No, I met this guy." She frowned again. "No... I dunno. He was running and wearing the wrong shoes. His name?" She looked at Abel expectantly. "His naaame?" She goaded, nodding her head and waving her free hand at the angel. "Of COURSE I know him... We had... we talked about doughnuts. He's coming to breakfast." She was silent for a moment and then just merely closed her phone.
"Let's go, handsome stranger, I'm hungry and need coffee and I'd love to have your company." She led the way down the street, glancing over her shoulder. She seemed to pause, strode back to him and then walked beside him. "I think you might need the company too."
((Hahahah, I REALLY dunno how she ended up that quirky... Oh well. She'll probably be toned down after she knows him better. Hhaha, she's so awkward.))

((Man I need to sleep. But I feel the need to post...like if I don't post at night it feels weird.))
Abel laughed a little. This woman was strange. It was interesting just listening to her talk, it was different. When she mentioned Saul, his eyes lit up and he focused on her. "Hey...I know-" But he was cut off when her phone vibrated. He leaned back, hands fiddling with the end of his gray scarf.
As she spoke he looked around him, watching people walk by, glancing at him every now and then. He breathed out through his nose, wondering what Mei and Talen were up to. He felt guilty just leaving, especially Talen. Talen had nothing to do with why he was angry, so why did he deserve to be left just like that? His mouth tugged down slightly but he was pulled back to the woman's attention when she closed her phone.
Just as quick as she had caught his attention, she was off down the street. He blinked after her, checked his shoulder as if he would see someone chasing after him, and followed after her. "Huh..." He said quietly to her opinion of him needing company. "Maybe...ummm...I'm Abel by the way. We never were properly introduced." He held out his hand for her to shake, smiling in that gentle, warming, and caring manner that he seemed to always be able to pull off.
((Wheeee...BED SOUNDS DELICIOUS RIGHT NOW.))

((I was almost SURE I'd get the last post last night... FOILED AGAIN.))
Leah glanced behind her as well when Abel looked over his shoulder. She frowned, but didn't remark on it, merely made a face that seemed to think he was odd. She seemed rather startled by his offered hand and she touched her own hand to her forehead. "Oh.. I'm sorry. I didn't even..." She gripped his hand loosely and shook gently. Somehow his smile had made her feel better about forgetting to tell him her name and instead she just felt silly.
"I'm Leah." She informed him. "It's nice to meet you, Abel." She drew back. "This is probably better. That's a lot shorter than Handsome Stranger... though I guess I could have just called you Stranger." She flushed and scratched at a cheek with her finger. "I apologize." She said, not really indicating what she was apologizing for and then added: "I'm not very good at this."
"Hey look!" She said instead, changing the subject. "This is his place." She stopped before an apartment building and pointed up. "So.. you know... UP!"
And she led him the way in, up some stairs, where she complained too loudly about how they probably should have taken an elevator... also considering their shoes... and to a door where it opened before she knocked. Saul was staring blankly at her.
"Heard me?" Leah asked of him, smiling guilty.
"You're so LOUD." But he was smiling in that quiet way. He looked behind his friend and saw Abel. He smiled larger. "Hello, Abel."
Leah stared and then glanced between them. She moved over to Saul and whispered, though her whispering was loud enough for Abel to hear. "You KNOW him?!"
Saul grinned and opened the door wide so as to let everyone in.
"Why didn't you TELL ME?" She asked of Abel, brow furrowed.
"You probably didn't give him a chance." Saul said, disappearing inside. He grabbed the bag of doughnuts from her hand as he went.
Leah flushed again. "Sorry." She informed Abel and followed Saul inside.

Abel smiled and shook his head. "Don't worry about it. It's truly fine. I forget these things sometimes too..." He paused and looked up, wondering if he ever did forget those things. Instead of wondering about it too much longer he looked back when Leah shook his head. "Leah, that's a very pretty name." He said politely and continued to follow her to Saul's apartment.
When they got to the door and Saul looked at him he laughed weakly and raised a hand. "I was going to tell you...but well..." He was going to put it more nicely than Saul, but it was pretty much the truth. He gave another laugh and walked inside.
"I didn't mean to intrude on your breakfast..." He said to Saul, smiling though it didn't quite reach his eyes. "I met Leah as I was taking a walk...and well here I am." A finger twirled around a short curl and he proceeded deeper into the apartment, looking around. When he turned back to face Saul he looked at the bag in his hands with a slightly disgusted face.
"You know...maybe I should cook you something healthier. Not should...I have to. You need some protein and carbohydrates. Those are the things that truly energize you for the day...not loads of sugar." His hands were itching for something to do, to busy himself. "Do you mind?" He smiled again at the man, pretty much telling him if he didn't let him cook...he'd be awfully upset.
((Yessss. Hahaha. I have to find something to do for four hours...))

((Hhaha, I hope you found something to do... D: ))
Saul shook his head as he lead the way to his small kitchen. His apartment was small and unusually clean, almost as if no one lived there. The walls were blank, his furniture ordinary and without personality. His home gave nothing away about him except that he had no family, no roommates, and was never home.
"Don't even." He said. "I don't mind." Cutting him to the quick in his apology. He waved his hands and gave Abel a look daring him to think about apologizing again.
Leah tagged after him, somehow shy and then drifted to the kitchen table as Saul moved to the counter to get some plates and mugs. Saul looked at her and gave her a half smile. "Now you're quiet."
Leah rubbed at her face. "I'm sorry." She pulled off her glove and hat, looking out the window.
Saul just shook his head. "Coffee?"
"Yes." She said a quiet voice.
He smiled briefly as he went about making her up a cup and looked up at Abel at his sudden offer. Saul eyed him steadily. His eyes were searching his face, somehow knowing. He nodded shortly instead of making a remark. "Yeah... sure." He nodded backing up.
Leah perked up. "REAL food?"
Saul moved out of Abel's way. "It's all yours. I'm pretty sure I got anything you'd need.." He touched the angel briefly on the shoulder, but grabbed the bag of doughnuts as he joined Leah at the table, her hot cup of coffee in his other hand. He was all for the idea of a real breakfast, but doughnuts could not be denied. He could afford both.
"He can cook?" She looked to Abel, seemingly more herself again. Her dark eyes gleamed and she was smiling for both of the men in the room. "You can COOK? I don't know what I'll DO!"
Saul took a bite of his doughnut. "You've made her SO happy."
"You can't cook at all! NEITHER CAN I! I haven't had REAL food in..." She looked thoughtful. "YOU CAN'T COOK!" She said again.
"Nope." Saul said, not caring. "Coffee." He shoved her cup at her and she pulled it gratefully into her fingers and looked expectantly to Abel.

((I found PLENTY to do. I went to a chorus concert at my friend's college. We had another friend who was in it. All the music was so beautiful! And I saw this one amazing singer in the middle, curly, darkish blonde hair, and amazing blue eyes. And I was staring at him the whole time. But he was shortish and his name was John.
Ahahaha. *I am such a freak.* Yeah. Then I drove all the way home. YAY! But it was really nice. :] ))
Abel followed Saul into the kitchen, glancing at Leah with confusion when she was suddenly quiet. This person was definitely a unique personality. One second she was talking his ears off, the next she was as quiet as... him.
"Thanks. I might even make something for myself...I haven't had much to eat lately." He began to rummage around, pulling out different foods and placing them on the counter. He looked over his shoulder as Leah perked up and was getting excited again. "Oh...yeah I guess I can. I kind of took care of myself growing up, so one of the things I had to learn was cooking. Trial and error. Of course sometimes one of the maids helped me learn a few tricks and tips." He pulled out a pot and pan and turned on the stove.
After he settled everything in place, all in rows and set out in certain categories, he started to put things together. Nothing fell out of place and when a crumb or some liquid splashed he'd quickly clean it up. Soon enough the kitchen was full of the aromas of meat, eggs, and bread. After a few minutes he began putting out sliced fruit onto the table.
"The rest will be done in a couple of minutes." He smiled at them and wandered back to his position over the stove. Sure enough, the food was ready. He turned off the stove and took out three plates. On them he placed toast layered with jam, some sausage, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, and diced potatoes. Carefully, he put it all on the table, along with the left over food in case anyone wanted more. Once he placed the juice out, he sat down next to Leah and looked at the two of them.
"Hopefully you two like it..." He said before lowering his head and starting to pray quietly to him, speaking in German. After he finished he grabbed a fork and pushed some of the potatoes, wondering if he really should eat anything. Deciding his body needed some food, he put it in his mouth.
((Wheee...making ME hungry. All I had today was cereal and coffee. D: ))

((Hahaha, you're such a college kid. Somedays all I have to eat is toast and yogurt. LOOOL. And that's some kinda exciting chorus concert :d ))
Saul shook his head, finishing off his doughnut. "I don't know why you don't eat... eating is so great." He smiled briefly and licked the sugar off his fingers.
Leah's forehead puckered. "Eating is IMPORTANT! You can't RUN like you were running and not EAT!" She declared. "It's not wonder he's as skinny as you." She said punching Saul in the shoulder. "Geesh!" She wrinkled her nose and drank her coffee.
She raised her eyes again as Abel spoke. "You have MAIDS?" Though she didn't seem so interested in this as she was at watching him cook. "Oh man... it's like... watching one of those cooking shows... only I can SMELL it." She stood in her chair to get a better look, but seemed too shy to draw nearer to see, afraid she'd get in his way. "How come you never told me about this guy? How could you have a friend that COOKS and not tell me about it? This is something I'd like to know about!"
"It's been a long time." Saul informed her. "He's been out of the country, so to speak."
Leah blinked and looked quietly impressed. She was even more pleased when Abel sat food on the table. She dug in quite happily, several pieces of fruit in her mouth and several more waiting in her hand. Saul quirked his mouth at her and she hunched her shoulders.
"Sorry." She said, something of a catch phrase with her. She stuffed the handful of fruit in her hand in Saul's. "There."
Saul gave a quiet laugh and just shook his head.
When Abel had completely finished with breakfast Leah was staring at the whole mess with large eyes. Saul was looking at her with an amused expression and exchanged a look with Abel.
"Oh my... I feel like I'm at home again!" She clapped her hands together and started to dig in. However, she stopped quite suddenly as Abel began to pray. She shut her full mouth tightly and bowed her own head, hands clasped together in front of her. Not knowing German, at least she thought it was German, she remained silent.
Saul watched her with a raised eyebrow, a forkful of food in his mouth. She looked up and frowned.
"It's just respectful! Plus, he made us all this, a little praying over my meal won't... IT'S RESPECTFUL!" Leah informed Saul and stuffed a large portion of her plate into her mouth haughtily.
Saul grinned. "It's good." He informed Abel. "And what were you running for?"
"He was wearing the completely wrong shoes." Leah made sure to mention again, swallowing and filling her plate up. "Oh man!" She was saying. "it's SO good." She turned to Abel. "SO GOOD."

((Oh yeah. And it was exciting. Today I have to go shopping for party decorations...uuuhggghgjsfd. I like shopping for clothes...not that kind o' stuff.))
When Abel looked up to see Leah also in prayer position. He smiled as she defended herself. "It's nice, thank you. An extra person never hurt." He then looked at Saul with an amused expression, which slowly turned around at his question. He quirked his lips and put more food into his mouth, allowing Leah to talk again.
"Thank you...Eat as much as you want." He said to her before going back to Saul's question. "Uh...at first I just wanted to take a walk...clear my head I guess. But I just had a lot of pent up energy, you know, so running felt like the only way to get rid of some of it. I've always felt like running is the best way to just...forget things for a little." He pushed some of the sausage in his mouth and swallowed it down with his orange juice.
His eyes were focused on the food in front of him, afraid if he looked up he'd be an open book. "I feel bad for leaving Talen. I told him we'd do something today. But I just couldn't handle being with Yanmei. She rubs me the wrong way sometimes." He became quiet as he ate some more. Finally he looked up and over to Saul.
"When do you have work? I don't want you to be late."
((Hahaha. He's so silly... Why? I dunno. He just is to me...))

((I'MMA POST. SO HARDCORE.... and YAY SHOPPING. Hahaha, I don't like shopping for clothes either... I dress like a boy most of the time, anyway :/ ))
Saul was watching Abel carefully. Leah looked at him warily and leaned towards Abel.
"Uh oh." She said to him. "He's got that look on his face... he does that to me all the time."
Saul raised his eyebrows at Leah and smiled at her.
"He KNOOOWS." Leah said, helping herself to more food. It was a wonder where she was putting it all. "But I think I know too. You make me feel sad... or something. I'm not sure, but I'm sure it's you." She said bluntly and then seemed to realized this might seem out of line, or rude. She flushed and tucked her head into her shoulders.
Saul watched her for a moment and then looked back to Abel. "Yeah." He said. "Mei can do that. I think that's why Talen likes her so much.. but you know, she just says what's on her mind."
"I like Mei." Leah said off handedly.
"I lied. I don't have to work." Saul said without looking the least bit guilty.
Leah quirked her mouth. "Why would you lie?"
Saul shrugged his thin shoulders. "How's that food again?"
"SO GOOD!" She cried happily and then gave him a look. "But don't you go changing the SUBJECT!"
Saul was looking at Abel again. "You should go hang out with him, anyway. He's probably hoping you'll go back. He's really missed you. He's a big softie..."
Leah giggled and nodded her head knowingly.
"But I mean, he'll wait 'till you're ready to go back. He's really good about respecting people's space... he's a good guy, Abel, and he likes to thank you for most of what he is today."

((Hahaha I love clothes shopping. Speaking of which...I have to figure out what to wear to this party. Ugh. I am planning the thing and I dunno even what I should wear. How sad...))
Abel looked at Abel when she leaned towards him and spoke. He smiled nervously at her and turned his eyes to Saul, glancing at the woman to his left again.
"Yeah. She does." He said quietly and rubbed at his hair, a thoughtful expression on his face. "She always does. Sometimes it's better to keep your thoughts to yourself though. We're just opposites. It's both good and bad." He breathed through his nose and laughed a little when Leah said she liked Mei.
"A good amount of people do." He said with a smile and leaned away from his food. His blue eyes lifted again and he frowned slightly at Saul. He understood why Saul lied a little too well. He had made a habit of it, in a more subtle way, by just never saying anything.
As he was about to say something about what the man said next but his phone started to ring. He fished into his pocket. When he looked at the screen it was an unknown number. A confused expression befell him, but he opened up the phone. "Hello?"
"Is this Abel?" Came a cool voice on the other end. Suddenly Abel felt chilled and he frowned, rubbing an arm.
"Ummm. It is. Who's calling?"
"We both know you know. But let's keep it between us."
Abel started to stand.
"Sit down." The voice demanded, even though it was not a demanding tone at all.
Abel sat. "Where are you? How... Is something wrong? Do you need help?"
"Oh, it's late for that. I WOULD thank you for the offer and concern, but that would just be a lie, wouldn't it? I kind of just want to talk. Haven't talked to anyone in a long time...just to talk." There was a heavy inhale and then exhale. "Is the food good?"
Abel looked around for windows, seeing one nearby he tried to look out of it but saw nothing. "Ummm...it's okay. I kind of just eat it to eat, get something in my body. But they say it's good, so I'll take their word on it." He smiled and made it a point to avoid the eye contact of Saul. "Wouldn't you rather talk in person?"

((OH NO! OOOOH NOOOO. WHO ISSS THAAAT? They're a creeper.
... and buh. Cold. Whatever. It's been 60-70 around here lately. Which is AWESOME.))
Leah looked at Abel with an expression of surprise and somehow a look of disapproval. "Sometimes you should DEFINITELY say what's on your mind!" She informed him. "You don't tell people how you're feeling or thinking and it's going to drive you INSANE one day. Trust me. Saul is crazy."
Saul laughed, something that was surprised out of him. It was probably the loudest he'd laughed ever. He covered his face with a hand and shook his head.
Leah looked to him with a broad smile and then back at Abel. "See? I don't even know WHY he's laughing."
Saul looked up when Abel's phone rang. Leah was leaning over him again, looking at his phone.
"I never answer numbers like that." She told him. She frowned when he answered it.
Saul was watching Abel more and more carefully. When he avoided eye contact it was then that he drew Leah away from him. She seemed to ask the question why with her eyes, but at the look on her friend's face she complied by scraping her chair over by his and looking worriedly to Abel. She put a hand over her heart.
"What's the matter?" She said quietly to Saul.
Saul was frowning. "Maybe I should take you home."
"What's WRONG?" She said again, looking at Abel with an expression that was deeply concerned. She didn't know Abel that well, or for very long, but she had always had a way of getting too attached too quickly.

((Hahaha creepers. I need to read like a whole book again. D: Whyyyy do I procrastinate so much. Whyyyyy?))
"I had this notion to come back here. I knew you'd be back, somehow. But I'm not sure why I actually went through with it. It's pointless really. Nothing's going to change. My days are limited now. Just the other day I was really close to getting caught. I had to beat them off of me basically. It doesn't matter where we go anymore."
Abel looked at Leah and Saul when they moved together and he frowned, leaning over the table and closing his eyes. "I'm sorry...I never knew..."
"Don't apologize. I was never expecting anything to change. I guess I just had a crazy idea. I've learned from that mistake. And you know what? Maybe being caught won't be a terrible thing. Maybe it's for the better. Either way I'm not doing much of any good here. Won't change going there either. That and I'll not be a danger to anyone anymore."
"Don't say that. It's not true. If we could get together in person...I could try to help."
"Abel, it's too late. Plus, I don't know how you'd help me."
"I can find a way. I can. Mei would know too. Then both of you would-"
Laughter broke out and Abel drew the phone from his ear. It was loud laughter that sent chills down his spine. When it died down he put it back and bit down on his lip. "Oh man, Abel. Mei? She hates us. She can't stand us. Why would she help us? You know what she did to us."
"She's different. I can make her help you."
"Could I talk to him? I might as well."
"That's not a good idea." Abel's brows pushed downward and he shook his head. "It really isn't."
"Just let me talk to him, Abel. I can't do any more damage than what I already have done."
Abel looked up and at Saul. Slowly he handed him the phone, a worried look on his face. "Be careful..." He said to him.

OH MY YOU CHANGED IT!... Oh my... I dunno what Saul is going to do... D:... ))
Leah was watching Abel with that same concerned look on her face. Her forehead was puckered, her eyes large. Saul was leaning back in his chair, not seeming to listen, but anyone would know better than to think he wasn't. He fixed his grey eyes on him sharply, somehow unsure about the whole conversation when he apologized. He wasn't watching Abel now, but he was still listening to him. He seemed to be trying to figure out just what was going on or who he was talking to.
Leah seemed quite started by the laughter on the phone. She jumped and rubbed at her arms as if chilled. "Who-" She turned to Saul and found him looking rather pale. "What's wrong?"
He shook his head. When he was offered the phone he seemed to hesitate. He looked at Abel, his expression baffled or concerned. He was still an awful shade of off white.
"Why would they want to talk to you?" Leah wanted to know, and looked to Abel.
Saul, after a thoughtful moment, took the phone and put it carefully to his ear. "Hello." He said quietly and waited.

When Saul took the phone, Abel slowly stood up, bringing the plate with him to clean. He glanced over at Saul as he did so, as if making sure he was okay.
As Saul answered the phone, there was silence, and then something moving. "Hey, Saul. It's Lilith." The voice changed slightly, this time a tiny bit warmer, but still frighteningly cold and blank. It was a voice that both mesmerized and instilled fear. "I probably should just start it off by saying that all I was planning on doing is talking to you, and only for a short minute, just to say a few things before stuff just explodes. I see Abel's come back, that's kind of why I called. I know it's too late to fix anything, maybe there was never a time to fix anything at all." She laughed slightly.
"Yeah. Little late. Probably a lifetime late. But that's besides the point. So let me finish before you start getting emotional on me or telling me to do things. I'll just say no to everything. I can't see you. They know where we are, all the time. I think they are just playing with us to see what I do since they aren't catching us yet. I guess the reason why I called was to make sure I am doing the right thing, to give up.
"Yup, I of all people am finally giving up. I've run for so long, all over the place, and I'm tired. Tired of keeping up a farce and just...moving around. All I do is move, get money, move some more. It's rather pointless, I've discovered. So that's that I guess. Just telling you what's going on with myself. I hear you're doing well. Have a job, a place to leave, hell of a lot better than what I got. But that's good. I'd say I was happy for you, but I'd be lying. We both know that.
"So, yeah. Don't hold on to me anymore like I know you have. Don't think about me or bother thinking of if I came back. I won't, I never will. Okay, I'm done talking. If you want to say anything, you may as well say it now. Not that I'll take any of it to heart...cause I can't. Don't have one."
((She's so pessimistic. Gosh.))
