Kale smirked slightly. "I was hungry, so I came out to eat." he gave her one of his smiles. "I guess we went out for the same reason."
Talon led her to a room then opened a door that lead to stairs going down. "This way please." he asked softly, smiling a bit as if to reassure her.

Katie was getting more and more worried but then remebered what John had promised her before Talon came up to them, I will protect you no matter what the promise echoed in her head.

Talon noticed her hesitation. "I give you my word not to do anything to you. I just need a small conversation with you and the vampire down here. At most, you will only get a small cut if anything does happen. I give you my word as a gentleman." he told her, dead serious. "If I break it, I will let YOU do what you wish with me, however, Mr. John cannot aid or do anything in your place, only you."

Talon chuckled. "There are many things humans can do, it just takes a bit of thinking on what you can do to a vampire. As for me, I do have my morals and my gentlemanly way to up hold. Humans can just as easily take things from vampires as we can from humans." he stepped into the stair way and turned offering his hand again to her. "I give you my word." he repeated.

She grabbed his hand and let him lead her down the stairs. She was afraid and confused and wondered if he could hear her heart pounding. She tried to make a conversation to ease the fear, "I don't think we have been properly introduced, what is your name?"

"oh..." with all the confusion, she had forgotten his name. they were at the bottom of the staircase now.

Talon walked forward a bit and reached for the hanging wire to the light on the ceiling. "Good evening, Piele." he greeted a vampire who was leaning against the wall, one of his legs were chained to the wall. It was obvious that this chain was special if it could contain a vampire.
The vampire Piele groaned at the light. "What do you want? Can't you leave me in peace for more than 300 years at a time?"
Talon chuckled. "This is a special case." He turned to Katie. "This is Piele, he's one of the many vampires gone berserk. He's only allow to feed from blood packets until he is stable, on my judgement. He has a special ability, which will help me answer many questions if you do not answer." He gestured to a chair by a metal table. "Please sit."
"What makes you so sure that I will help you, Talon?" Piele question, obviously not happy to see him.
"Because it may help me decided if you are sane and normal." Talon replied smiling.

Talon watched her for a moment. "I gave you my word." he reminded her. Then he sat at the other end of the table. "What is John planning and why is he using you?" he started his questions.

"Planning?" and then she remebered, "...oh that. Well I'm not sure, but I think it's just because our whole vampire family past has been made up of sucessful and powerful vampires and now he wants me to become sucessful and powerful by owning my own...coven I think is what he called it." she looked at the vampire named Piele who was looking at her with hunger in his eyes, "He says you are a weak clan that I could easily rule over once I am a vampire." She hoped he didn't notice she was holding something back.

"Then why have Me SPECIFICALLY turn you? I'm sure he's tried other vampires, why did it fail?" Talon asked, his eyes narrowed VERY slightly as he watched her closely.

"I find it will be quiet difficult for John alone to kill me. I match him in strength, stragity, and I'm a bit faster in speed. How does he plan to kill me?" he continued, noticing her hesitation so he asked the question that would force her answer.
Piele snorted, though still watched her. "Can't you smell it Talon? She may have a delicious smelling blood, but blood that smells that good is never a good thing. Her blood is dangerous to our kind, it's meant to draw us to her. I imagine she has a hunters blood somewhere along her family tree and it passed to her."
