Aleksi sighed, bored. Suddenly he felt a strange prodding sensation, but ignored it, and continued to stare blankly outside of his metal prison.

Ciara looked around and, so far, noticed nothing out of the ordinary.

The prodding sensation intensified, and Aleksi couldn't ignore it. "Ciara," he asked "do you feel anything?"

"No," Ciara replied. "I feel fine. Nothing's wrong, Aleski."

The prodding turned into stabbing when a mental attack ravaged Aleksi's mind. He yelped in pain as the attack crippled him.

"Aleski!" Ciara cried. "Can you come back to your other form?" She thought the bandits might be behind this and looked around for them.

Aleksi barely heard Ciara through the anguish. He began to return to human form, his shape turning into the amorphous black blob, but was forced back into metal. "No!" he managed to yell through the pain. "I cant!"

"Damn!" Ciara said. Then she screamed "Show yourselves!" to the bandits she knew had to be there.

Aleksi was in such pain that he could not think correctly. Normally he would be able to find the source of the attack, but he was in such agony that he didn't even think to. he yelped again, his voice seeming to come from nowhere. "Ci-ara!" he said through a gasp. "H-Help- m-e"

Ciara thought fast. If she could seal Aleski, it might help. Whenever she sealed things, she severed its ties to the outside world. She knew she could undo the seal later. So she acted, and kneeling on the ground, she began to seal Aleski's mind.

The pain began to subside and Aleksi panted heavily. He attempted to return to normal, but was stuck. "What's going on?" He yelled, but he realized that he could not project his voice.

"Aleski, I just put a seal on your mind. It should block the pain, but you're stuck like that until I can undo it," Ciara said, seeming to hear his question. She looked around for the bandits. "Come on out," she muttered.

Aleksi protested his impisonment regardless of whether he made noise. A robed man rounded a corner. All of his features were hidden under his violet robe. On it gleamed a silver raven.

Ciara forced herself to remain calm. She tried to walk past the man and keep going on her way. The hand that wasn't holding sword-Aleski strayed to her cards, where she tried to pick out one and summon it without being noticed.

The strange man's robes shifted around, indicating hand movement. He then turned and crossed the street disappearing from view behind another building.
