Ember nodded. "Strongbow, Moonshade, this is Calestra. She's a friend of Skywise."
Strongbow lowered his bow slightly, still watching Calestra.
"We should probably talk to Cutter..." Moonshade said.
Ember looked at all of them and nodded. "C'mon then, I'll take you to him, he's star watching with Skywise. Welcome to the new holt!"

Caelestra walked with them... keeping a wide berth from Strongbow. Bloodhunt was creepy enough but if the two of them were together... that was terrifying.

*On our way, thank you,* Cutter sent. A moment later Cutter and Skywise stepped forward, with Skywise a half pace behind Cutter.
*Cutter* was the sharp sending, left open for all to hear.
*Good to see you, Strongbow.* Cutter sent. *Welcome.*
Stringbow grunted the smallest bit, eyes narrowed as they glanced at Caelestra and back to cutter.
"We found more Elves." Cutter said.
*Let him believe that* Skywise sent quickly and privately to Caelestra, even as he fell over laughing.

"One of her cubs?" Moonshade asked.
"One of," Cutter verified. "She has six."
"Six..." Moonshade repeated.
"Bloodhunt, one of the new Elves, jut had recognition, and Caelestra here has four cubs in the holt with one of us. Without recognition."
"Who else is here?" Moonshade asked.
"Never mind all that," Skywise said quickly, "I think we could all use some new leathers..."

Caelestra raised an eyebrow at Skywise but shrugged it off as an 'elf' thing. They did like their leathers.

Moonshade gave him a look. "I'll need to measure all the cubs..." but it was fairly clear the topic was derailed, for now, because she allowed it to be.
"Let's get Redlance to make you a den in New Father tree," Cutter said, leading Strongbow off.
Constellation lit in a tree overhead. *What's going on?* She asked her mother in private sending.
