I actually stole the gun off a guy I hate because he's a d**k and a tad to much up himself, among other reasons. So I have no idea where he got it. It does look a mbit like Vash's gun biggrin I could probably mod it so it looked a bit better and open it up to fix the fake firing mechanism.

Now I've been to an anime/scifi/fantasycon where I met some members of the Hungarian Steampunk Community (for the 1st time) smile I dressed as steampunkish as i could but hot weather was also taken into count when made the look. So. Group shots (Im on far left with the parasol, I have to admit the others costumes' are more "professional" /I cant really sew or make clothes yet sweatdrop /) And me with an actually operational R2 biggrin (it can move, rotate the "head" and make sounds like the original, remoted, an engineer guy made it with some help) smile

@ Obilia- I love seeing costumes like yours. We all come into this genre with varying degrees of skill and experience, and I like this starting point. I am soo tempted to start talking shop about directions you want to go, but I'll refrain since you haven't invited it. It seriously look like you had fun and the parasol is a nice touch.

Thank you smile Im still trying to improve (finding/buying more clothes and accesories I can) but Id note there are other "experimental outfits" I done too, I chose this 1 for 2 reasons: I got the skirt not long before the con and I like it, the second eeason is the weather was hot so it wouldnt have been lucky to be in long sleeved blouse with vest or anything like that. I thought the parasol would fit indeed. I was thinking of handcrafting too but I think i dont have enough resoiurces for it and I dont know yet what to make. Cant make goggles yet for instance that's sure (at the moment). Sorry I dont really understand that talking shop part, could you explain a bit more? (either here or in PM) Thank you for your opinion again smile

It's been too long since I've put up some digitized photographs.
For those of you who are curious, the first photo is on my college campus, and I am wearing long skirts that are hidden by the table. The other two photos are from a week ago when I tried ragcurling my hair overnight. I'd seen it done, and found a good tutorial (I'll be glad to link it if anyone wants it), so I gave it a try. At least it looks good with a hat and the goggles. Without...not so much.

I love that parasol! Did you do that yourself or is that something I could get myself?

I was a victorian witch for Halloween, and I won first prize in the costume contest. biggrin This is me accepting my prize, just before we all got back on the train to continue the party on the ride home. I had a train case with a 1910 novel, and a little stuffed owl in it. http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash2/hs412.ash2/69091_491142583053_101568573053_6945616_6441471_n.jpg

Well, my dad gave me his felt cowboy hat since he never wears it, and I decided to see how it would look with my goggles. I love this shirt too, found it at a thrift store >.< Anyhow, I think I need to paint my goggles soon so they stand out better
