"Really?" Remus laughed out loud, then stopped himself abruptly a moment later. "Sorry Ovid, I didn't mean to laugh. It's just that that's the kind of stuff I wanted to do for a long time." He rolled over onto his back and looked up at the sky, sinking deeper into thought. "When Aunt Dris left for Brazil, I really hoped I could go too. But Papa said that she had to go and work things out for herself." Pausing for a moment to collect his thoughts, he continued shakily. "But what's stopping us from going out and having an adventure of our own? Just because we're not evolved and everything doesn't mean we can't take care of ourselves!" His complains mostly revolved around himself, yet as he went on, an idea started brewing in his mind. A fun, exciting one.

Wow... not only was Ovid itching to see the world too, but they'd even had the same idea. And the more he thought about it, the more he liked it. Even unevolved, the two of them would be capable of whatever they had to do. More so even, since they could look out for eachother. "We could explore undiscovered territory! Maybe even find a lost culture! Or we could end up digging up treasure that was buried by pirates!" Hey, if his Aunt Dris could, why not him and his buddy?

Miko nodded again, nuzzling against him with a soft smile. He was right, Remus would choose the right path. Ovid wouldn't let him stray. She laughed at that little remark. "Rebellious? I never had a rebellious thought, unless it included meeting more Tala." At that her smile faultered. There had been so few Talaye around lately, she loved meeting new friends. But where had they all gone?

"Do you wonder where everyone went, sometimes?" Miko asked curiously, waving a paw at him to lay down beside her.

Drained of excitement momentarily at this thought, Ovid quickly perked up, thoughts turning to the nervous nature of Remus' father. He would surely fault his son leaving with little notice, and alone, but perhaps it would be different if they planned for a while, got the advice of Dris and her new Brazillian 'friend' how best to travel without incident, and with a trusted friend, it would be allowed?
"If we do it in a way your father understands, I'm sure he'll allow it. He's careful, so we should be too. If we plan our departure with him informed, and with proper information, how can he find fault?"

Head cocked at this thought, he nodded. Secrecy, for now at least, would allow them to carry their plan to fruition with least bumps. If they had it all researched, and planned out, once they approached Sirius, his careful nature could be appealed to for his permission.
"Yes, our little secret until we've got more figured out, then we present the ultimate plan to your dad!"

"Oh the elementals aren't awful, I just hope they can control themselves. I haven't seen any but the fire, and the water once, I believe. And Aelo, I think it is? And truly, Serenity hasn't ever met your Papa." Miko blinked, realizing that. Her child needed to learn about her family.

"And come to think of it..I haven't seen our children, either. Maybe..maybe we didn't choose the right guardians." Always one to look on the bright side, she hurridly added. "Or maybe their Mama's and Papa's are just busy. That's right." Miko yawned, laying her muzzle over one of his paws. "Just busy."

Half-inclined to envy Remus at times, Ovid shrugged, smiling to look on Remus' parents. If nothing else, they cared for Remus in a way Ovid would never know, that selfless adoration of a parent.
"It saves me hassle, yeah, but I wouldn't mind some parts, and siblings would be fun at times, you can irritate them like no one else, and claim it's simply brotherly love!"
