Of course they havent. No one's bothered to think of being a member of a crew or even fitting in, only about being an individual.
@K-blade: Thats the trick now isnt it?

All depends on what kind of boss you’re going to be. Besides, in my predicament I’d be grateful if you gave me a job and that would defiantly help in my feelings of loyalty to the ship and her captain.

I had designed the character as one which works with the crew, but that was under the assumption I was already hired for my personal skills...

Do we want to have it where I'm meeting you on Ord Mantell to pick you up, Nelo?

That works too. Saves us the trouble of getting the Merchant's guild involved.

Cale Darksun I'm actually glad you brought up the fact tht this will be an Interaction heavy RP, Des. The people signed up will be expected to post regularly. You really cant go off and do your own thing as we'll all be stuck on the Ruusan. But she does bring up a good point, Des. We get anymore people, we'll be kinda crowded. This aint a two story luxury appartment on Alderaan. Its a cramped working ship. I know this reply is like six pages late, but I'm responding as I go. The ship isn't that cramped. Theres a shitload of room on the decks, suprisingly. Not like its a Lamba-shuttle or something.

Des Voh She apparently knows enough to be the Systems Operator as well. Doc could fill in for alot of oddjobs. SysOps if need be (intelligence background), maybe a second or temp gunner (military background) @Cale: Won't you want to hire some kind of medical staff or does that not interest Jag? EDIT: I thought of a way my character could stay interested in being a crewmember/passenger whatever. My guy is homeless because his family is kinapped. You are a smuggler of sorts. People like you know things. Things Kalin needs to know. So he offers to work for you. He'll offer his services as a Doctor, but also due to his immense physical stature, he offers to do any roughy jobs (ie loading cargo) for you for free, so long as you let him stay on the ship for free. he'll even pay you for food. how's that sound?

Aha, it's not so hard when you can actually think as if you're the character. Which I didn't know I could do. I think i'm evolving as a Roleplayer, get better that is.
So my little plan works for you then?

Wouldnt have to pay for food so long as you're willing to work for cheep as a deckhand. Work hard enough and you might even get apermanent position in the crew.

In my case, its a mix of fillin' up Cale's cargo hold, and bribing him with large amounts of cash won from the local sabaac circuit... As for skuld, I'm debating if I can believably hire her as a bodyguard and pay for her tenure... unlikely, but something might come up.
