Moonkit was suprised by Torrentstar's question. "I'm..... Well, you see..... I guess you could say I was..... Uh....." Moonkit pawed at the ground while trying to think of something, even if it was a bad excuse. "I was..... helping get the snow up! That's why I was running..... I was pushing the snow forward." She mewed, trying to look like that was, in fact, what she had been doing.

Rainfur nodded. "That's okay, Pebblefoot. I can manage on my own." he mewed, slipping outside. He headed towards the fresh-kill pile and grabbed a love fish. He padded swiftly over to Silvertail. "Do you... want to share this with me?" he asked.

Crystaleye shuffled her paws, staring at the WindClan border. Something was screaming at her to go back and find Appletail again, but...she couldn't. She wanted to go see the nice tom again,but couldn't.
Owleye gave a small yawn, and got up and looked around kindly. "Hmm."

"It's my fault Torrentstar" Ravenfang mewed defensively, "I was keeping her up to help me with the snow. Then we got to playing around and I started the race that led to me....you know..." Ravenfang trailed off at that embarassing moment.

Torrentstar let out an amused purr. He shrugged. "No big deal." He turned to look at Moonkit, "You're gonna need your sleep for later tonight though." He knew Moonkit wouldn't know what he was talking about but that's why he said it.
He padded away before the curious kit could ask any questions and looked at the pitifully small fresh kill pile. He would personally go hunting tomorow morning to help restock it. He chose a tiny mouse... he wasn't that hungry anyway and went to sit outside his den to eat it. He'd give all the cats a chance to eat before he called the clan meeting.

Pebblefoot barely even heard her sister. She was still searching for that poppy seed. "O-ok Rainfur.... I'll come and find you if I can hunt down something that might help." She mumbled distracted...She turned her head back to the wooden cracks and sighed...

Ravenfang's eyes were wide in surprise and confusion. But after a few moments she realized what Torrenstar was saying. "He's right Moonkit, you had better get some sleep." She then padded over to the fresh-kill pile and took a small thrush. I hope Moonkit gets what me and Torrentstar are hinting at...

Silvertail left without waiting for Pebblefoot to respond. Her fur stood on end when she forced her paws through the leg deep cold snow in front of the log. That's why she jumped when Rainfur came up to her. She wasn't paying attention. But then she relaxed immediately. She was surprised but the invitation was completely welcome. "Sure." She mewed happily. She had to supress a pleasured purr as she sat down with Rainfur to share the meal. For the moment she forgot all her worries and was back to being the old Silvertail again.

Rainfur finished his portion of the fish and nudged the rest to Silvertail. "You can have the rest." he mewed. He glanced around camp for a moment and saw Moonkit. Seeing the kit made him remember that she was going to be an apprentice soon. The thought of Moonkit no longer being a kit made him think about Silvertail. She'd been fostering Moonkit since she was born. "Are you excited for Moonkit's apprenticeship?" he asked, hoping it wouldn't upset her.

Moonkit looked at him, puzzled, but decided she would think about it in the nursery. "Bye Ravenfang, bye Torrentstar." Moonkit mewed. She needed her strength to be able to impress everyone so she could become an apprentice... Hopefully, it wouldn't be too long now. Moonkit looked over at Silvertail, seeing her and Rainfur sharing a fish. I should talk to her... maybe later... She thought, then began to pad to the nursery.

Silvertail flinched at Rainfur's mention of Moonkit's apprenticeship. But she composed herself and forced her eyes to look happy, instead of clouded with worry. "Yes of course." She mewed with fake enthusiasm. It was hard to lie to Rainfur, she was a bad liar in to begin with anyway. She looked down at her paws and made a sound deep in her chest. A defeated sound... she spoke again this time not hiding anything. "Actually, I'm scared out of my fur." She looked up, "I know it sounds silly but I don't know if she's ready. She's so rowdy and curious, and not a very good listener." She purred as she listed the worst qualities of her kit and then stopped abruptly. "I'm afraid she might get hurt." Silvertail dropped her gaze to the half eaten fish. It felt better to talk about it. Although what she was saying hadn't been that hard to figure out anyway. The drastic change in personality was hard to miss and hard to missinterpret. ut before she could say anymore she heard Torrentstar yowl for a clan meeting.

Rainfur listened as Silvertail spilled out her true feelings of worry for Moonkit. He rested his tail on her pelt. "She'll be fine. It's probably a good thing that you're nervous. That means you care about her. Don't worry." he mewed then looked around and saw his leader, calling a clan meeting.

( rofl I don't read Twilight books. And..I heard the Eclipse comes out on Aug. 2 also! I'm not sure,but...yeah.)
Crystaleye shuffled her paws, wanting badly to go to WindClan border again, and went over to the HighRock. She sighed, wanting to go back. If only she had set a time to go back, so she knew Appletail would be there.
Owleye went over to the HighRock, and wondered, Moonkit's apprentice ceremony, perhaps?
