Hargun sighed rather relievingly.
"At least Im not the only one whose scared her.. otherwise I could never forgive myself." she said and looked up from her food towards Julian.
She could somehow feel him staring through her very body then raised an eyebrow. "Hiya.. uuhm... whats yer name?" she asked, stuffing a chocolate ant in her mouth.

He glanced down for a moment, his gaze turning sad despite the huge, toothy grin.
"...It's okay. It would have been a lot worse if Ambrose hadn't come and found me just after I changed...."
He turned his attention to Hargun again, blinking at her a bit. "...Oh...I'm s-sorry, I completely forgot...my name is Julian."
Forgetting himself completely, he offered a clawed hand to shake.

Amaya's eyes widdned. Ambrose...? Oh snap. This was the crazy guy he was talking about. She bit her bottom lip, but didn't say anything. So far Julian didn't seem insane or crazy at all... save for that funky grin. She wouldn't judge unless he started cackling and running after them with a chainsaw or something.
Shaking her head, she forced herself out of her daze. "That's good." Another slightly forced smile.

Hargun looked rather nervous about shaking Julian's hand.. just the fear of freaking him out with her strange fingers might gross him out. But she shook it off and shook it firmly, smiling slightly.
"Nice to meet you, Julian. Im Hargun." she said.

Julian shook the hand with no apprehension - it wasn't THAT bad...and it wasn't like it was gross, or anything. Just a bit unusual.
"...Pleased to meet you, I'm certain."
Julian had no idea what Amaya was thinking, of course...but he was really a very unlucky man with rather bad timing. Just then, the Cheshire Cat started humming in his ears....
How'd'ya do and shake hands...just like the Tweedles...isn't it, Julian? How'd'ta do and shake hands, shake hands, shake hands...wasn't that the tune from the Disney version?
Without thinking, he answered the Cat aloud.
"Please stop that - I never liked that song..."
He realized what he did and stopped short, clapping his hand over his mouth. OHCRAP. "Uh...I...I mean...."

The young girl's eyes widdned at Julian, but she quickly tried to correct herself and settled for raising a brow. "What song?"

Allllrighty then. Ace Ventura's voice was a two second escape, but now what? The same look was plastered on her face and she coughed into her hand, willing to let him lie. "Ah."

Still rather wierded out, Hargun tried to smile and turned as quickly as she could back to her food.
After a few bites she looked up and yawned, so long it made her eyes water.
"Getting tired guys.. In a bit Ill head back up to my duplex. All I really wanted to come out here for was something to eat. Of course, and hopefully socialize." she said smiling and continued to eat.

Julian's expression darkened a bit...he realized he wasn't convincing.
"...Sorry."
He looked over to Hargun, nodding a little. "...All right. I guess becoming nocturnal is...tough. I've had a little trouble, but I stay up late, myself, anyway..."
With a little sigh, he looked back down at his plate, taking the last bite. He was so embarrassed...and he KNEW they must realize there was something wrong with him.

"Sure, Hargun." Amaya smiled and nodded, wondering if she was forcing herself to be more diurnal then nocturnal, despite what the bat DNA in her system was telling her to do.
"It's okay Julian." She smiled to him, not wanting to make him feel any more awkward then he did. The poor guy had been through enough.

"Im sorry man. Yeah, its the nocturnal stuff.. either that or the lights just making me want to go back to my dark room and just... sleep?" Hargun started laughing.
"God I sound so retarded. Its gotta be just being tired... maybe my brain cells will come back after a nap." she said, then wiped her mouth with a napkin and went to clean off her tray.
"Ill see yall some other time. Nice meeting yah, Julian. Bye Amaya!" she said waving, and headed back to her duplex rather quickly, taking the note on her door inside to read it.
((Bad wrap, but I need o get some hw done xDD))

He gave a halfhearted, nervous laugh, his head lowering a little. "...Uh...thanks."
"Yeah, nice meeting you...." Timidly, he waved, watching the girl leave....
Just him and Amaya now.
Sighing, he brought his fingers up to his lips, licking them...then started to run them over the fur on his face. He didn't appear to be conscious of this action - still staring down.

"See ya Hargun!" Amaya waved, not liking being left with someone insane but... he hadn't come after her with a chainsaw yet, so all was well.
Start up a conversation.
About what?
... He's licking himself.
STOP STARING.
Shaking her head she drank some of the water from her neglected water bottle and finally broke the silence. "So how'd you get raked into all this, Julian?"
