"Alright love."

Grinning, Maelthra undressed and stepped into the water with Amuriel before beginning to brush her fur down in the cool lake. While he did this, he lightly splashed water onto her to help rinse her soft white fur. At the same time, he also stroked her gently as he smiled up at her.

"How does this feel?"

Then glancing back at the pups, he chuckled and answered her wondering statement.

"Well it's possible. I don't think they'll change a whole lot but we should at least be able to see their colors strengthen I think. I'd be surprised if they changed drastically with this bath," he chuckled.

Smiling, Maelthra nodded to her while he continued to scrub down her fur. After awhile, he managed to wipe her down all the way for the most part. The fur wasn't completely clean, but it was about as much as he could do right now without any sort of shampoo or soap.

"There we go. So now that just leaves the pups," he said with a smile and with a pat on her shoulder.

Turning towards the basket, he made he way over towards it and knelt down to peer at the five young ones residing inside. He noticed that a few of them had gone back to sleep for the time being. Not wanting to wake them up, he figured it would probably be best to work with the ones that appeared to be awake first.

"Hehe, it looks that way."

Smiling at the pups, Maelthra couldn't help but chuckle softly as he took Zydrumas. After nuzzling the small creature gently, he carefully splashed some water onto his blue son. Once that was done, he started to gently rub at the puppy's coat to wash away the grime that was covering him.

"How does that feel Zee?" he asked with a grin.

While her father attended to Zydrumas, the second most active puppy in the basket rolled onto her back. Kuroyuki squeaked and made some other soft noises before rolling back onto her belly and crawling over one of her sisters towards her mother.

"And it looks like that little one there wants Mommy."

Maelthra let out a soft chuckle as he watched their children crawl around, making little squeaks as they did this or that. He watched his love clean up Kuroyuki's dark fur before glancing down at Eirwen. With a toothy smile, he leaned down to kiss the little girl.

As he did this, he got a face full of water thanks to Zee. Flinching lightly as he wasn't expecting this, he shook his head before looking over at the mischievious boy and laughed.

"You don't want to get into a water fight with you father now do you," he said with a smirk before nudging him gently and splashing a little water back onto the boy, as well as onto Eirwen.

Luth'ol stared as his siblings were all getting washed up before rolling onto his backside, currently being content to be nice and dirty right where he laid.

Kuroyuki let out a squeak as her mother started to clean her up. As she was dipped into the water, she wriggled, though it was hard to tell if she was trying to get away or trying to get more water onto herself. Then as the dirt began to be rubbed away, she lifted her head and attempted to lick Amuriel's hand.

Chuckling as Zee thrashed about in the water to get back at his father, Maelthra shook his head as he got sprayed in the face with more of the liquid. Grinning, he glanced at Eirwen who seemed pretty intent on joining in on this water war.

"Hehe, come here you..."

Carefully he picked her up with his free hand and gently dipped her into the water next to her brother. Soon after doing this, he glanced up at Amuriel and blinked as she asked if they had another basket.

"Um.." he started before looking around, "No... we don't..."

This was going to be a bit tricky. They couldn't just put the cleaned up pups onto the dirt where they'd get their coats all muddy and dirty again. So as he gently held the kids in the water, he tried to think of what they could do about that.

Kuroyuki wiggled happily as she was kissed on the noise, letting out a light bark soon after. She tried to lick up her mother's face but couldn't quite reach that far anymore. Even so, she tried to stretch out so that maybe the tip of her tongue could get her.

The black female pup calmed down as her mother comforted her. Wagging her tail, she stared up at Amuriel before trying to look over her shoulder to see what her siblings were up to.

"Hehe you little rascals. Having fun in the water?" he asked the two in his hands.

Then glancing up towards his mate, Maelthra thought about the suggestion for a moment before nodding. Smiling softly, he held the two pups he had with one arm, resting them against his body while reaching out to take Kuroyuki.

"Since I already have these two here I'll take charge of the clean ones."

Letting out a yawn, Luth'ol shifted while gazing up at his two parents that towered over them. He didn't really want to get involved with all the wet stuff around them. Not now at least. He liked his spot in the basket quite a bit.

Laughing as well, Maelthra took Kuroyuki out of Amuriel's hands and gently cradled the three in his arms. He made sure to hold them firmly enough so that they wouldn't slip away, but he was also being gentle so that he wouldn't end up smothering them.

"Hey hey easy you two, there's room for your sister too," he said while nuzzling one with his nose.

As Luth'ol was picked up, he blinked at his mother before tiling his head and yawning again. Then as he was dipped into the water, his eyes widened a bit before he began to squirm. He liked being in the basket and dry, and didn't really want his bath right now. So as he squirmed, he squeaked as he tried to somehow go back towards the basket.

"Hehe, looks like Luth'ol doesn't really like taking baths."

Aidesui shifted as the weight off of her head was taken off. She still remained content and asleep though, paying no attention to the antics of her siblings.
