Well..its a tube with a roller clamp...however high or low you roll the clamp puts a different amount of pressure on the tube and effects the amount of fluid that'll pass through it. ^.^ There are pumps that do it automatically too.

oh, I thought it was the IV where they stick it in your arm and feed you the saline (that was it right Z?) or any other kind of liquid no?

Nah my teach was talking about the rate at which the fluid was going..but yeah you can't just run anything it depends on the situation...like straight up water into your veins...>.>'.....

Yeah, the pumps actually detect bubbles (which can be annoying sometimes) but it would actually take a full line of air to kill someone.

Yes it can, but a bubble large enough to kill someone you'd be able to see in the IV tubing 'cause it's clear ^.^ It would take an entire length of air in the tubing to actually hurt someone..according to my teacher..
