Hello~ My name is Jessi, but you can call me Jay or DC if you like. I've just recently (this christmas) gotten the Rosetta Stone software to help me learn Japanese, but I've been just on the sane side of obsessed when it comes to Japan since I was 10 (I'm 15 now).
I look forward to learning more things about the rich past and culture of Japan and hope that I can find help when I get stuck on a lesson or just engage someone in a good old conversation in Japanese!

Hihi! :3 My name is Fuyu 808 Kitsune, and I am the randomizer! My love for Japan started when I was about 11. As you all should know the show, Naruto, me and a friend of mine saw the first episode, and became immediately hooked. Throughout the Anime, I remarkably began singing the songs like, word for word, and wanted to know what I was saying. So, in an attempt to learn how to speak Japanese, I googled, and Yahood anything possible dealing with Japanese language. I only know mostly animal names, such as Tori (bird), Kitsune (fox), Shika (deer), Ino (pig), Neko (cat), etc. So, after a search on the Guild Network for a new Guild, I saw this place, and decided it's time I take the time to learn Japanese, the easier way!!
That's my Japanese story, hope to become great friends, guys!!
~Fuyu

Hello! On Gaia, I usually go by Sepia, but I don't mind being called by any other name (So you can be creative!) I fell in love with the Japanese culture and language a great deal of time ago, and ever since I've been interested in all aspects of the culture. I do enjoy my fair share of Anime and Manga, and at this point I have recently decided to take on the challenge of learning Japanese as a third language (I already speak English and Spanish). I also love to draw, especially in a manga-esque style, and I've always loved Japanese woodblock prints, as well as new age Japanese art (And I think Japanese fashion is just glorious!). I hope to share my interest in Japan with you all. Hajimemashite!

Ohayoo Gozaimasu! Konichiwa! Konbanwa! (what ever time you may be in).
Hajimemashite! Peachie69142 desu... but everyone calls me Peachie for short. little about me... i'm a pretty random person at times, i'm pretty helpful if anyone needs help, and i type a lot when i have a lot on my mind.
uhhh... i joined this guild, because i want to continue to study my Japanese on my own, in anyway possible. i just began studying Japanese last year in the Fall, but is unable to continue to study due to limitation in class numbers (only 1 class was offered this year to 1000s of students.... oh, i forgot to mention, i'm a college student, thus the 1000s of students to one class.) ANYWAYS!!! Aside from English (my 1st language), i know Chinese (Cantonese my first and heritage/cultural tongue, and Mandarin my 2nd). i want to make Japanese my 3rd. i love learning new languages.
I fell in love with the Japanese culture through animes and mangas (of course). but it was Japanese music, fashion, and their arts/traditions that were really the big push in my interest. i hope to hone in on my "Nihon go" so that i can use it in daily life (like at my job) and to just have a better grasp in understanding the language (i want to decipher the music i'm listening to, and the magazines i'm reading on my own). so yeah... i hope to share and learn more "Nihon Go" with all of you. Arigato Gozaimasu. 3nodding

Hello. I'm currently a college student in New York, specializing in Asian Studies, and specifically Japan. I can speak, read, and write at a semi-advanced level of Japanese and have applied for the JET program, to hopefully teach in Japan in the fall.

Konnichiwa!!!
My name's Chitousi. My interest in Japan came from my interest in anime. It started out as being addicted to the shows, then the songs, until I've been trying to study japanese online. Wearing a kimono outfit and a matching parasol added to my interest. I also draw anime girls wearing a kimono and they don't look bad, or so I think!
I'm a Filipino that grew up speaking in English until 1st grade. My classmates influenced me. Now, I'm in the 6th grade (12 yrs. old), I have a classmate who can speak in japanese and claims that he's half japanese. My birthday's on September 8.
Thanks a lot for accepting me in the guild... arigato gozaimasu!!!!!!!!!!!!!

始めまして。 ミヅと申します。アメリカ人です。十五歳です。 私の日本語わ、苦手であります。 よろしくお願いします!
Hullo~ I'm... Mid/Midu/Midnight. I'm 15 years of age. I hail from the land of thunderstorms, sunshine, tourists, and Mickey Mouse [of the East] -- aka Florida. I first encountered Japanese culture in the form of sailor moon when I was in first grade, but I only watched a few episodes before my parents freaked out on me and told me not to watch it. Then, in fifth grade a friend reintroduced me to manga - and my parents freaked again. So then when I finally became interested [for the final time] in seventh grade, I was much more careful about it. So, Japanese culture was first introduced to me through way of anime/manga. But I'm pretty much based just being the casual anime/manga watcher. I like watching anime a lot more for trying to learn Japanese [or at least testing my hearing]. I've only really been studying Japanese for a few monthes - and that's not even 'really' studying, but rather taking a serious interest rather than just learning konnichawa. I've memorized all my kana, so I prefer not to use ローマ字 :] This month I'm going to start taking a Japanese class at a community college >w<; And now I've probably put anybody to sleep that took the time to read that all >.>;
My final note, I love learning different languages and about different cultures. I'm in my third year of French (though it's more like my fifth - long story), and have been to France for three weeks. Also, at the start of this year I began Chinese school and hope to visit China in a few years maybe. And obviously, there's Japanese now that I'm starting to learn.

みなさん、おはようございます。
Hello, I'm Haruko and I just joined your guild. Thanks for having me here. ^^ I'm 17 years old, and I am Canadian. My ethnic background makes me 50% British :3 and has been learning Japanese for almost 6 months now. My goal is to become an intermediate by the end of this year, wish me luck! I've been interested in Japanese culture since I started watching anime with subs, then I started listening to J-Pop, and before you know it, I was looking up Japan. O_o Well, I don't really have anything else to say, so.. さようなら!

Name's Ryan. Brand new to the guild since today. I've been interested in Japan for what seems like forever now. I just recently picked up learning japanese again (independantly). Soon to be freshman at the University of Oregon, and I'm trying to get in as much practice as possible before I jump into my first japanese class looking like a total baka. sweatdrop
What else... I'm half thai & half laos.. I listen to a lotta J-Pop in my spare time, but I don't watch as much anime as I used to. Anywho, thanks for listening to me babble on.. haha
