Calling Than a jerk I can sympathize with, since I take the word to be from perspective of a person. However, given that he offered quite a few ways for Karinth to remain at the party in peace, I fail to see how acting for the better good of the party is pig headed. xp

Thanatos_M The electromagnetic field has annoyed Than by causing a reaction in his arm, and Tegral for other reasons. Sadly, I can say such a field will be near useless against Than, especially the electric eel skin. To be honest, it's Karinth's behavior that's getting him booted. If he'd actually been involved in the party instead of marking his own personal space at one, which is a pretty logical contradiction for a party, there would be no problems, hence why Than has disavowed any responsibility for getting Karinth thrown out. As I said in the post, there are many ways around electricity, as someone that uses earth mages constantly I'm well aware of this. It's a defense but it's not the primary, the main purpose is preventing people from scanning him and to sense enemies in the dark. He hasn't been booted yet, also he wasn't at the party to socialize, merely to find out who was throwing it, a good mystery is more interesting than meeting people to him. Regardless of Than's rational, we'll just have to see how it plays out. I'm not really interested in an OOC pissing contest though so I'll just let my character's actions speak. I'm curious to see how events will flow and that's the entire point of RP'ing for me. I love to see what variables people add to my ideas simply from the existance of their characters and vice versa.

*Wonders why Than feels it's his responsibility to 'save' everyone at the party from a non-existent threat* Wolf, sorry dude, you're last year's model. Totally an out dated avatar if there ever was one. You're of no threat.

Totally an out dated avatar if there ever was one. You're of no threat. No offense taken, I realized a long time ago that my preference for a character that shunned tech would make it nearly impossible to keep up. Best I've done against anyone for a while was when the dojo was being attacked and I used my earth manipulation to crash some mechs. No my specialty will always be the biological and hand to hand combat. When the guild took the sci-fi turn I knew I couldn't viably adapt my character without sacrificing my favorite parts of him.

Oh I'm sure you could have done a little something-something with Wolf/Shadow to make him more viable with the new turn o' the guild. Though in truth the guild is still it's typical magic vs magic style, only a full third of the active users (KB, me, and maybe consider Mastema) have used mechanical minions vs magical. Simply because, in my opinion, there's no strain on the commander and can field a vast army with only logistics to worry about once their out. A summon has to continually fret about maintenance, self strain from all the 'mana' being pulled through his/her body to bring these constructs to life.
I'm rambling. ^-^

To be honest, I think the only people who've taken the sci fi approach are myself, Teg, and KB, though Griffin may or may not be leaning that way. Also, earth magic was probably the biggest single type of attack that Mas has used on Teg that wiped the floor with some of his attacking battalion. Oh that was fun.

You dropped two of my artillery pieces in a hole. That's about all you did. You didn't even destroy them, they activated their chrono-displacement units and returned to the planet they were constructed on.

I've been in and out of the guild a lot since I first started switching apartments and after long absences when I would start reading through posts it seemed most people were touching on guns, nanotech, mechs, etc. It is true that I do not have a full estimation of the guild, however my characters were built up over time with an obsession with self modification. They are limited in their abilities though I'm hoping to introduce a new level of deceit to their arsenal with my latest change. I find betrayal and intrigue to be the most satisfying RP's though they are also the hardest.
I just need to get used to Ka'rinth again, I've been playing a different version of him in another guild and I'll need a few fights to get back on track. Now the only question is if he should stick with the dual swords or switch over to scythe/tonfa now.

Dork. Oh I'm well aware they weren't destroyed, it's just a fond memory to remember that they got beaten by a simple land overturn heart
