Ah, well. There was no going back at this point, was there?
Kaguyo seemed to lose herself---lose her fight---against Aled the longer she stayed with him.
At this point, her rebellious spirit was clearly under control. It wouldn't be a threat to him again, for certain....
No, not to him. Po-ar, Ainsu, and Ashuri however were a different story.
She placed one hand on his knee strategically, as to simultaneously steady herself. Her other hand wound itself deep into his silvery hair, pulling him closer while she nibbled on his lip.
She was enticing, to say the least.

Morrigan likewise crossed her arms, raising an eyebrow at Po-ar.
She was playfully skeptical, but with good reason. After all... with all the battles they had gone through with Konton...
She just shook her head, laughing in disbelief. "Always?"

Kaguyo chuckled slightly. "I have."
She certainly had never loved him before... to her, 'another lover' now meant someone other than Ainsu.
She hated him bitterly, now. Her heart seethed at the mere thought of him.


Morrigan kissed his cheek, giving him a hug. "You try."

"It's hard to be Queen without acknowledging your King." Kaguyo replied softly, blushing a bit. "I would prefer our people think us united... I don't want to lie to them.... Besides, honestly, who would I take as a lover?" she furrowed her eyebrows. "None of those pompous, withering advisors.... I don't even understand why you keep most of those inefficient, incompetent fools around. I did more work in a day than over half in a year!"
She was pleased with this recent 'promotion' of sorts, however.
The ones who had scorned and treated her wrong for being a woman would certainly come to rue it now that she was Queen. "They always gave me a hard time..." her eyes narrowed. "I want them to fear me, now, Aled, if you decide to keep them. I want them to lose sleep at night..."
Kaguyo was surprisingly dark and morbid; her years of silence had kept this bitterness well hidden. It was strange how she could relate to Aled in some respects. "I want them to know that to defy me, is to defy you... to doubt me, to doubt you.... I want them to know that I may call the shots.... That our wills are the same..."
She caressed his face affectionately. "I want all who hear our names to fear us, Aled, fear for their very lives.... Show them what true power is... That what strength they think they have is nothing save an illusion..."


"Adorable." Morrigan chuckled. "I'm certainly glad you're blushing instead of me.... I don't think I've ever seen you so red, Po-ar!" she teased sweetly, leaning forward, her hands held behind her back. "Awwww!"

"Kawaaaaaaaaaaiiiiii desu!" Morrigan teased, pinching his cheeks.
She knew she was going to get it for this, sometime....
Sometime.
"Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! Look at those cheeks!"
She broke down giggling; it seemed like, despite all their problems, she was happy for that little bit.

"Death?" Kaguyo glared. "No, death is too kind. I want them to beg for it.... Death will be a blessing by the time I am done..."
She already had a few people in particular she was going to be riding pretty hard on. No doubt that once the wedding was announced, many of them grew pale with shock.
She would have loved to see their initial reactions, but to see how they would react seeing her as Queen...
As Queen outside of the ceremonial bliss....
She could only smirk imagining it. "...But I will let them live, my dearest, if they are suited to your plans."

Gwyllion raised an eyebrow. "I was under the impression that to learn, one must be willing to teach. You've been anything but compliant. Now if you'll kindly be quiet.."
He was trying to be polite, but his voice was a bit terse. He was listening intently.
They were, after all, deep in Nagaroi territory now. Snakes would be everywhere....
And it would be better for them both to keep sensitive topics from prying ears.

Kitaria rasied an eyebrow at this, but said nothing. The sucess of the mission was first proirity, and so far Gwyllion seemed an adaquate leader for the mission...for now, at least.

Kitaria nodded slightly at Gwyllion's silent direction. Slowly and carefully, she walked besides him and approached the clearing, her training making her little more than Gwyllion's shadow.

Kitaria, too was studying the landscape in great detail, even as she moved across it. She wanted to know every niche, crook and cranny of the place, what could be used against her and what could be used to her advantage. This was hardly her first time in Nagori territory, but first or fiftith, the variables needed to be closely exaimned. And as of know she was unsure if it was good or bad that he most unprediactable variable walked at her side.

Kaguyo shook her head slowly. "I didn't mind him so much... if you recall, it was Po-ar's fiance that dragged him from the advisors' chambers and slit his throat all over the floor."
Her eyes were sparkling recalling this story. "I watched every second of it... I won't deny I gained great pleasure from it... but I suppose more than anything I had wished I had done it. Perhaps you'll give me that wish." she kissed him deeply.

Morrigan sat by herself for a long time, her hands over her stomach.
She wasn't as scared as Po-ar was... but for whatever reason, Morrigan didn't really get too scared until she was in the situation.
Fear did nothing to help them. She knew this. They had a plan, they had the poisons planned out...
"As if the ride back couldn't be any more miserable..." she shook her head furiously, pulling the covers over her.
She was holding a little grudge against Po-ar for this. Now all she could think about was what could go wrong, and how she could try to escape a possessed Po-ar, or Aled for that matter... She thought about what might happen if she poisoned herself instead of Aled, or Ashuri, or Po-ar....
She thought about what might happen to the child as a result.
"Shut up, shut uppp...." she growled at herself, pulling a pillow over her head.
All those voices of doubt, all those nagging worries, and no way to get rid of them until Aled was destroyed.
She grabbed another pillow, added it to the first, folded them, and screamed into the thick bundle as loudly as she could.


Outside, Vincent winced, but quickly moved away from the door. While Morrigan was for the most part quiet, her stress wasn't something he wanted to pick up on.
