"I haven't talked to her since we left," Umi admitted. "I don't even know her phone number." She looked embarrassed. "I wasn't really thinking very much, was I?" She handed the teddy to Zachery. "It's okay, Zachery...I'll find a way to get ahold of Izumi. I promise."

She stood up, and began taking out dishes for breakfast.

Umi nearly dropped a bowl in surprise, but caught it in time. She took the paper from Lan in disbelief.

"I can't believe it..." Umi blinked. "The Gods must be trying to tell me something..." She smiled. The paper was Izumi' phonse number.

Umi hugged Lan. "Stay here for a minute. I have a phone call to make." She ran into the living room.

Helix came downstairs, groggy. "'Mornin'," he mumbled, and plopped down on a chair.

Helix smiled tiredly at Lan. "Hey...did you sleep well?" He decided not to talk about the night before, and just let it go. Lan looked healthier than last night, so he felt he could wait a while longer for a doctor.

Helix looked at Zachery warily. He didn't trust him, but he said nothing. Instead, he got up, and began looking over the things Umi had set out.

"She's planning on making pancakes," Helix said. He looked around for a second, and said, "Hmm..."

Umi ran back into the room. "I got ahold of Izumi--oh! Good morning, Helix!" Umi blinked in surprise.

"Morning," Helix said.

"Umm, right...about Izumi," Umi continued. "I got ahold of her, and she said she's comming to Central. She's not sure when she'll get here, but she hopes it'll be soon." She smiled a little, and looked at Zachery. "It's going to be okay," she told him softly, and kissed his forehead. "Everything's going to be all right now."

Damien smiled. "Morning all. My, we seem to be getting more people all the time!" he said, ruffling Lan's hair. "But then, that's a good thing. He sat down at the table to read the paper.

Umi began making pancakes, and showed Lan how to make them. Helix got ingriedients for Umi while she showed Lan how to mix everything. She handed him the spoon so he could stir, while she got the pan ready.

"You know," Damien said. "I could use a little more help at the cafe. With you being a waitress, Eichie might need another hand in the kitchen. Plus, I could always use busboys." He grinned at Helix, who went red.

Umi watched Zachery nervously. She didn't want to interfere with him, but she was worried.

Helix was still a bit upset. "I don't think I'd be very good, sir," he said.

Damien smiled. "Nonesence. You've been helping out here, right?"

Helix said nothing.

Umi flipped the pancake, and put it on a plate. "First one's done. Who wants to taste it?" She smiled. It was a ritual of hers that the first pancake got to be tasted by everyone.

Helix had to admit, the pancakes were pretty good. He ate his piece hungrily, and licked his fingers. Umi smiled.

"Next one will be done soon...good thing they don't take long to cook, huh?"

Helix nodded.

Damien took a sip of his tea. "Oh, Umi, you're uniform is upstairs. I put it on your bed for you."

"Oh...thank you," Umi said, blushing. She remembered it, and had a flash of how upset Greed had been with her wearing it. She giggled a little.
