Myra relaxed in the demon's grasp as he stroked her hair. "I love you too..." she breathed.
The boy growled, but smirked, all of the posse turning into hellish demons. "Ravens are plagues! What better way than to make them destroy each other!" with that, all of them disappeared in a burst of fire. Shiro began to wake up, groaning slightly. His grandfather rushed to the boy, gently holding him. "G-Gramps... W-What happened..."

Diablo kissed her forehead and held her. "Sleep. You'll need the energy."
Maria sighed. She couldn't stay angry, after all, she couldn't feel it really. Not anymore. There were only thoughts left. So, she turned to see the elder raven holding Shiro. She touched her necklace, knowing that she should probably go back to her parents and tell them what had happened. Perhaps they'd get her soul back in her. But then she'd have to feel pain again. She hadn't liked that taste she'd gotten when watching Shiro walk away from her.

Myra nodded some and nestled more against the demon and fell right to sleep.
The boy only groaned more as he heard his grandfather call for a stretcher. "There will be no lighting tonight. Please head to your homes or the nearest shelter and stay safe." the elder commanded. Everyone started to murmur, but leaving the scene to go and rest off this horrible event. Once the stretcher came, Shiro's grandfather gently placed the boy on it, taking off his outer robe, the one that marked him as the elder and leader of the village and laid it over the boy, who had gone back to sleep.

Diablo smiled at Myra's sleeping face. She was absolutely adorable. He decided it didn't matter what his father thought, he couldn't let Myra go.
Maria continued to watch as the town began to leave, and Shiro's grandfather took care of him. There was nothing more for her, anymore. Shiro had told her to leave, after all. She might as well just grab her cloak and leave.

The elder watched as Shiro was taken away before going to the girl. He placed a hand on her shoulder, tears dripping into his beard once more. "Thank you miss. Thank you for saving my boy. And for saving our village. Please stay. As an honored guest. I'm sure Shiro will appreciate someone willing to stay by his side as much as you have."

Maria raised her eyebrow as the elder raven approached her. She vaguely felt the shadow of that warm feeling she'd gotten around the comforting old man, but she couldn't grasp it anymore. "I doubt that," she responded bluntly. "He told me to leave before this fiasco happened."

The elder paused for a moment. "He did, did he? He must have known those demons were around. He wanted you to leave so you wouldn't get hurt." the old man said, patting the girl's shoulder. "Shiro has a hard time with feelings. He has a completely different entity in his body and it makes him feel twice as many things at once. So it's hard for him to cope."

Maria wanted to tell the man that the reason Shiro had wanted her gone wasn't for her, but for himself. That just like she was, he was a miserably selfish being. But she decided not to. She still liked the old guy, soul or not. "Yeah. I don't even like one set of emotions," she said with a grimace, glad to be rid of them again.

The elder studied her before lightly tapping her on the head. "Now I can understand Shiro predicament, but yours I would rather see remedied. Too many motions is one thing, but none is self-deprivation. You need to feel. And that includes pain. You can't run from it. Or you'll turn into a husk, an empty shell. I don't want to see you waste away like that and miss out on some things that will ease whatever pain you feel. Like love."

Maria raised an eyebrow at the elder raven. "I have a feeling that this time it's permanent," she responded, referring to her soulless state. She disregarded his statement about love making up for pain. She didn't understand how that would apply to her, anyways.

"Nonsense. Where do you think the power over souls came from young lady?" the elder said with a smile before summoning over priests. The priests looked over the girl and her necklace. They began to mutter their spells and enchantments that they used over souls, trying to lure the girl's spirit back into her body.

Maria was about to protest, to ask them to stop, but the necklace cracked open again, and her soul leaped out. It pranced around her for a moment before throwing itself at her, absorbing back into her. A flash of light, and then Maria was curled up, asleep on the ground, a broken necklace beside her.

A few priests got her loaded into a stretcher and taken back to her guest room, the others tried to mend her necklace. Surely she'd want it back in one piece. Shiro had woken up by now, but his stomach was killing him. His other form had so much of a bigger stomach. "Uggghhh.... Never going... to eat noodles.... AGAIN...." he groaned loudly, gripping his stomach.

Maria shifted in her sleep. Again, there was that radar. But she was too exhausted physically. She continued to rest, despite her constant tossing and turning.

After a while, Shiro's pains eased and he want to check up on Maria. The girl was a pain, sure, but she had stuck around and saved him and his village. This was... new to him. He'd never had someone outside his family so devoted to him and his well being.
