Mission time for SS! *falls over on couch*

MISSION- Flame on!
Go find a fire pokemon!

Pokemon:
Any non evolved, non legendary fire pokemon

Money: 600

"Geez... I have not been around." SS looked at the area. A pretty desolate wasteland... but that is to be expected on top of an active volcano. "Lemme check the specs again..." SS pulled out his TADS and opened it up. After selecting a few menus, a small hologram of BL appeared on it.
"SS, I'm giving you a break. Go catch a Fire Pokemon and return to HQ. I know you already have your Cyndaquil, but you need to diversify just a tiny bit. Happy hunting!" BL's image faded out.
SS snapped the TADS shut. "Catch a fire pokemon, eh? Too easy." He looked around. Several Charmeleons stood around, just chilling. A Magmar was swimming in the volcano. "No... I'm looking for a Vulpix, honestly." SS pulled out a pokeball and opened it. Cyndaquil appeared from the capture device. "Cyndaquil, can you help me find a Vulpix?" Cyndaquil nodded affirmatively and the two set off.
----Two Hours Later...----
"That's it. There's not a single Vulpix here." SS wiped his brow. "Cyndaquil, I think I know where some are located. Let's go to Saffron City." Cyndaquil shook his head "no".
"Fine. Five more minutes, then we leave, k?" SS sat down on some rocks, while Cyndaquil scampered off.

"I don't get why he doesn't believe me." Cyndaquil peeked over some rocks,then moved somewhere else. (Note: Translated for the benefit of the audience. I doubt you'd want to hear "Cynda cyn da quil quil." ) "I mean, I picked up on a Vulpix scent right over here somewhere... and it smelled female." Cyndaquil looked down a slope. "But then the trail disappears.... ah-HA!" Cyndaquil perked up as he caught the scent. "This way.... here she is." He looked down at the Vulpix, running around after a hot lava rock. "Back to SS I go!" Cyndaquil turned and ran back up the ridge to where SS sat.

"Find anything?" SS stood up. Cyndaquil nodded in the affirmative. "Excellent. Lead the way."
As the two ran towards the Vulpix, SS picked up on a slight rumbling. "We better hurry, Cyndaquil. I think the volcano's going to erupt." Cyndaquil only nodded and the two kept moving.
"There!" SS skidded to a halt behind Cyndaquil. The Vulpix looked up at him. It had about 5 tails, and was medium-sized. It started at the two of them as they ran up, but otherwise stood its ground.
"Let's go!" SS stared down the Vulpix. "Let's battle."

SS vs Vulpix

SS: Go, Anorith!
*Anorith appears in front of SS as the volcano shakes a bit*
Anorith: Annooooor!
SS: Let's rock. Anorith, Water Gun!
*Anorith lets loose a Water Gun as Vulpix disappears. It reappears behind Anorith and sends it flying. He uses the wings on his sides to staiblize himself, then blasts Vulpix with Water Gun.*

Anorith: 45-6 = 39
Vulpix: 38-9 = 29

SS: Now, Metal Claw!
*Anorith glares at Vulpix and rushes in with Metal Claw. Vulpix, meanwhile, cuts loose with Flamethrower. Anorith partially dodges and gets hit with a burn, but manages to strike Vulpix upside the head.*

Anorith: 39-7-3 = 29
Vulpix: 29-6= 23

SS: Anorith, end it. Water Gun, full blast!
*Anorith opens up with Water Gun, as Vulpix responds with Flamethrower. The two collide, resulting in a huge blast of steam. Anorith almost lost it, but raillied, pushing through Vulpix's blast to send it flying.*

CRITICAL HIT! IT'S SUPER EFFECTIVE!
Anorith: 29-4 = 25
Vulpix: 23-17 = 6

SS: Good work, Anorith! Now, my part. *draws pokeball* Go! Pokeball!
*SS throws the pokeball. It taps Vulpix and the pokemon turns into red energy, entering the ball. The ball landed and twitched... twice.... three times.... and then the volcano erupted!*

"Hoo, boy." SS stared up at the inferno, then turned away. "Anorith, return!" SS said, recalling his pokemon, and without a second glance, scooped up Vulpix in its Pokeball and Cyndaquil in his arm. Stretching his wings, he took off as the volcano exploded behind him.
"Too close..." SS looked back at the fiery mountain. "Let's get back to the Blue-Eyes White Jet and get outta here... huh." SS looked at the Pokeball. It was stable. "I guess I caught Vulpix!" He pumped his fist in the air. Cyndaquil sqeualed happily as they landed in front of SS's jet. "Let's go." He climbed in the jet, lit the engines and took off.

Sinji looked towards his brother and said, "Wow, thought you died or something becuase you haven't been around for like ever!"
