My brother's stupid 360 stopped working again.
The ring keeps turning red like 3 seconds after you turn
it on.

Yeah receipt would only be for retailer...
So ring up and they will know if it is still under xbox warrenty... (under a year since you purchanced the xbox)

Microsoft modified the warranty so that it has three-year support for the Red-Ring. I'm fairly certain that you reset your warranty every time you send it in too, although you'd have to ask our resident king of 1-800-MYXBOX, Mr. William the Conqueror.
