"Mmmh... sure. I suppose I could teach you." There was actually no catch. He just needed a very good or strong spiritual power. If he didn't have that, he'd have trouble finding his way through, or even with opening the gate.

Sage smiles, and moves to get up out of the bath, " do you think we could start now then? I'd love to be able to go and be smug to the face of my mentor...he'd be surprised as all hell that I managed to open my own gate without taking the usual 4 years to learn how."
As he spoke, Sage got out of the bath and pulled on his pants..and the remains of his shirt.

Yuki shrugged and stood up tall in the bath and stretched. She was nude, and had quite the figure as her hair stuck to her back. She rung her hair out as she stepped out as well and made her way to her neatly folded clothing. In a smooth motion she hopped into her hakama, tightening them so they would not fall on her, then took the bandages and started wrapping them around her chest without difficulty. She had a lot of practice dressing and undressing it seemed.

Sage shrugged and waited for her to dress, only averting his eyes after he realized he shouldn't be staring. With his back turned to her, he asks, " so, how long should this technique take to learn? "

"For some, quite awhile. You may need to work more of your spiritual strength before you will be able to do such a technique. Some people get it right off the bat though." She was finished dressing as she made her way out of the baths and headed outside. But, of course, once the cold air touched her, she was not so... warm... anymore... especially when she was still wet. "Oi..."

Sage walked out after her. While he walked, he seemed to ignore the briskness of the air. In truth, he manifested a nearly nonexistent layer of ectoplasm around his body (except is right arm) and allowed it to dissipate, taking the water that was on him with it. As he followed her, he scratched his head with his left hand and replied, " well then...lets just hope I can at least figure it out soon. If I can't, then it may well just be back to training and attracting the departed like flies."

She shrugged and walked outside where it was much colder. Why was there snow on the ground again!? It snowed? That was enough to piss her off... just a titch. She walked out, barefoot, into the center of the courtyard.
She focused, her hands folding as if she were molding energy. After a few moments, a bright line of white light rose from the ground, and split apart, forming a doorway of sorts, leading into what looked like a dark passageway. If one were to enter, they would notice a door on the other side. "This leads to the spirit realm, home for the good spirits and Death Gods..."

Sage blinked a bit. He then scratched his head a few more times as he opened his third eye, and right out stared at the construction of energy. As he stared, he spoke, " would you mind if I just studied this thing for a bit? And..more importantly...what would happen if I walked through it now? And...Death Gods? since when have there been death gods? is this something that this plane has that my home lacks?"

"Mmh... death gods are on this plane as well. Mainly, they take care of the dead by sending them to Hell or Heaven. And you can study this for however long I can hold it open. If you entered it... just hope that it is not time for there 'weekly cleaning.' People and spirits get lost in these things if they are not fast enough."

Sage looked the gate over for a while, then spoke up, " so...who are you that you can open one of these gates? And your earlier comment...would that make you a death god as well?"
that would certainly surprise the hell out of the old man...getting training from a death god. heh...

"Mmmh... yes. It would..." She said, as she sighed, relaxing, the door closing in again into the fine bright white line, and sinking back into the ground. Keeping that thing open so long was quite tiring, especially since she had not opened it in a long time.

Sage nodded a bit. He simply stood there, his mind racing as it began analyzing the data of the gate that had been collected through his third eye....
In the hallway once more, Sage walks along. He opens one of the doors, seemingly at random, and walks into a room with various computer systems and printing devices. "Oi...it's time to wake up analysis. Get your lazy a** to work while I continue this conversation eh?"
With a large yawn, A being that looked almost identical to Sage awoke with a nap, the main differences were that it's fingers were longer, and with ten digits per hand. As well, it wore a pair of large, rectangular glasses. " Fine fine, but after this I'm going back to my nap...or maybe the relaxation springs in erotic zone..."
After pondering for a few moments, Sage nodded, " Deal. But make sure you have it all summed up and ready to be used before you go prancing off to the zone of erogenous dreams."
With a salute, the many fingered Sage nodded, " Aye aye capn."
"so...is training easier in the land of the dead?"

"Workin' with spirit powers and such? Perhaps. You would have more of a chance findin; someone to teach you there than anywhere else, I assume. Now that I think of it, I have a friend or two down there... dunno how they'll feel 'bout teachin' though."
