Sage nodded a bit, and took a bowl from one of the cupboards. He then manifested a few thin strands of ectoplasm and wove them into what looked like a strange hat-like thing. He then set the hat construction onto his head, affixing it like a crown around his head (and being careful of yuki's tail while doing so). Next, he walked over and got some milk, poured it into the bowl, and put the milk away. With this done, he carefully set the bowl in the hat construction, so that it would hold the bowl next to his forehead, and it would stay in place...like the rim of a hat..but bowl shaped and full of milk.

With a content cat on his head, Sage moved around the kitchen. After a bit of searching, he came up with a deck of cards. These he took into the main room. After finding a place to sit, he shuffled the cards with his one 'working' hand and began playing solitaire.

With a smirk, Sage spoke up, " so, what game would you like to play?"

As he spoke, the ectoplasm crown around his head dissipated, and Sage began shuffling the cards as best he could with one hand.

I knew I was gonna feel that the next morning...

Violet eyes slowly open and Irianna emits a low groan. The scratches are no longer painful and already close to being healed over. What does hurt is the large, dark bruise centered along her spine. The winged woman imagines that the bruise will more than likely be with her for a while.

The sound of shuffling cards makes Irianna raise her head and torso just enough to peer over the arm of the couch. There's Sage, looking much better than he did the previous day. With him is a small cat, a vaguely familiar cat.

Irianna reaches down to remove her woolen blanket and restore it to her travel bag. To her surprise, a second blanket is covering her body. Don't remember that being there. Did Sage cover me up? Or was it Reeve? Mentally shrugging, Irianna sits up and stretches her six limbs, starting with her legs, going to her arms, and finishing with her wings. Then she gets to her feet to fold and put away the blankets.

As she cleans up the small mess around the couch, Irianna looks over to Sage. "Good morning, Pancake Man. Who's your little friend?"

Irianna quirks an eyebrow at the thought of a talking cat. Not that a talking cat would be the weirdest thing Irianna's seen in her years as a traveler. She believes Sage holds that record with his pancake suit.

Irianna piles her stuff neatly on the couch before taking a seat next to Sage. She nods to the cat and says, "Nice to meet you. My name's Irianna, but Iri works just fine. And maybe it's my imagination, but I think you look familiar." The woman looks back to Sage and says, "Count me in. I'm no good at cards, but I'll give it a try."

Sage nodded to Iri, then delt out some cards for her as well. After dealing out the 5 cards to all players, he then layed out one card from the top of the deck, " it's been a while, this is how the game begins, right?"

Upon seeing Sage's pained expression, Irianna almost becomes concerned. Half a second later, though, she realizes what the sagehirn must be up to. Tricky guy...

Irianna, usually of a bland face anyway, makes no attempt at a poker face. She just takes a glance at her hand of cards and shrugs.
