Oh, I agree. Stressful and busy for everyone involved. I'm not directly involved of course, but I do feel some of the effects.

He's trying his best not to let it totally ruin things at home. He actually tries very hard to get home at a decent hour. At home he doesn't really discuss the case, as he can't tell me the details since I'm not involved. However, even when he's playing with the kids I can tell he's still thinking about the case.

The word I'd best use to describe the state of things at home is "distracted."
I hate not being involved and not having the ability to help. At the moment, the best I can do is make sure home stuff is all running smoothly so Bigby doesn't have to deal with it after a hard day of investigation.
