"Because I'm not going to get high and go to sleep instead of bringing you tot he movies?" Cor's not really sure how to take that news. Of course, it's better for him to find out now, but since he all ready feels a bit inferior to his brother, it's not thrilling news either.

"Exactly!" she says. "He's not someone you can count on." she jumps off the swing and goes sailing into the air, landing easily. She takes a few steps and then lies down on the grass, staring up at the stars.

Just because I like Billy too doesn't mean I like him more, or wish I was with him or anything. I like both of you, but it's not like I'm 'settling' for you or anything."

"You think that's new, I haven't had a girlfriend before." He's not embarrased about the fact, partially because it's just the two of them and he doesn't think she'll tease him (much), and partially because he never dated anyone because there wasn't anyone he wanted to date, and there's nothing shameful about that.
