Sorry. Heat of the sun, multiplied by five. I just assumed logically that since the sun outputs X heat, x5 heat output would suggest x5 power. But that's just me. =D

Temperature, as opposed to heat. Heat is a transfer of thermal energy, if I recall correctly. Also, Energy, since power is a term usually restricted to electricity. But yeah at that temperature, you're pretty much wielding a beam saber with a shitload of excess heat exhaust.

Still. Temperature has little to do with what he had hoped to cause, if I got his intent right. He wasn't going for the whole 'let it take it's time' effect, so much as trying to wield pure energy in a way that'd cleave through anything. I imagine it's the thermal energy that causes for the molecules to pull apart ( Under increased speed, and likely friction. ). I mean, with that sort of power, pretty much anything in contact with it is going to sublimate.
Mind you, it's been a couple of years since I took my low-grade physics class, my knowledge might be a bit sketchy.

In Truinthil's defence (kinda), at least he didn't use said technique in battle. Rather he used it to melt a single steel link off of a little boy's bracelet, which later left a scar and some metal forever fused to bone in his arm....
