Nami stumbled, shocked by his sudden appearance at the end of the hall but instantly pivoted and charged back in the direction she'd come. There were stairs leading up to the higher levels and if necessary, she'd climb from a window to escape. Now her thoughts were solely on the life within her.
Clow, where are you? She thought despairingly. He wasn't dead. She would have felt it.

'Clow' only smirked as he faded into darkness before sifting into the air, with his voice looming over.
"Okay so I lied, about your precious fiancee. He lives, but barely. The only way to find him, is to defeat me."
Just then, the walls of the dojo would become a dark tunnel with winding paths, and no source of light, except the small, burnign torches on the side of the walls. This was a genjutsu, but not a simple one to get out of, such as using Kai.

Irianna glances out the dojo's entrance. The weather has lightened up considerably. Torrents of rain have become little more than a light mist, and rays of light are beginning to show through the breaking clouds. The spring shower is almost over.
A sigh escapes the young woman's lips. Now that the weather is better, she has lost interest in the stranger with which she currently shares the dojo's main hall. Her wings are beginning to twitch in anticipation of use. Once the rain totally stops, the winged woman will leave the shelter of the dojo. Besides, with no one but the seemingly oblivious stranger for company, Irianna has nothing else to do. Why stick around the dojo when she can be accomplishing something?
The greatly weakened storm finally dissipates completely. In its wake are grass made greener by rain and lightning-spawned nitrogen, a fresh atmosphere free of heavy spring pollen, and an incredibly blue sky streaked by fluffy white clouds.
Grinning slightly, Irianna walks out onto the grassy plaza. White wings burst open, turned into a show of brilliance by the sun. With a powerful leap and a practiced down stroke, Irianna soars back into the air.

Wolven Clow#2 'Clow' only smirked as he faded into darkness before sifting into the air, with his voice looming over.

Just then, the walls of the dojo would become a dark tunnel with winding paths, and no source of light, except the small, burnign torches on the side of the walls. This was a genjutsu, but not a simple one to get out of, such as using Kai.
How the hell am I supposed to defeat him?! He's trapped me here without weapons and in the condition I'm in I can't take the risks I normally would...god damnit! Nami's mind raced as she took a few steps back.
Without thinking, her body threw up a barrier of chakra that encased her like a globe. Instantly she began to work through a set of handseals before proclaiming: 'Shugo Hakke Rokujuuyonshou!" And soon two pale blue strings of chakra sprung from her palms and she began to wave her hands in odd patterns and circles, weaving the strings together into a close-knit net.

'Clow' smirked as he faded in like paint being splattered against a wall, watching Nami create a dome that would protect her. He could only watch and wait until it was fully up and show her the true potential of his power. They were both in his genjutsu; he had trapped himself in it too.
"A simple barrier such as yours can't keep me out."

"My barriers aren't simple." Nami replied, keeping her voice calm. "If you've done your homework you know that I was bred to be a master of chakra. Nothing involving chakra is ever simple."
Indeed the sphere surrounding her was layered multiple times and the actual composition of the chakra was interlaced and re-inforced. She'd been taught how to manipulate it so at the age of twelve and now, four years later she could throw up such a barrier without much thought.
And soon she finished with her net, that too joining the blue orb.

'Clow' only smirked still before closing his eyes, and like magic, his appearance glowed white, and as he opened his eyes, they were red like Sharingan but the body had changed to be slightly shorter, and he had red spiky hair like Clow did, only longer, with it covering one of his eyes now. There was a visible x shaped scar on his right cheek too. He seemed almost as old as Clow was too. Finally, he became a solid figure, revealing his Akatsuki coat; black with red clouds, and his nails were painted black as he also wore a ring on his thumb.
"Hyuuga Nami."
He began to do a few handseals and then held his arms out, as inside they began to glow purple.
"My name's Obaro Kataru."
Then he smirked and let his eyes droop a bit, half way closed now.
"Hataru Tekunikku."
From his sleeves which had dropped and hung there, began to flutter as small balls of chakra began to fly from them. But they were actually pyreflies, that could barely be seen. Nami might have recognized this ability, since...it was one of Clow's specialty attacks/defenses. It worked both ways.
"Heh. Phase 1, complete."

While the others did their respective things, Sage wandered through the forest. Now, he didn't just wander about in his normal outfit...or even in the armor of pancakes. No, today he was wandering around in a ten foot tall 'armor suit' of combined pancakes and ectoplasm. With each step, Sage took a few moments to breathe and resharpen his mental resolve. This thing is not going to be useful in combat for a good while yet...but at least I'm able to practice with it...instead of falling over after manifesting the damn ectoplasm. First I'll get used to moving this around as it is...then slowly I'll phase out the pancakes...yes...and when all is said and done, I'll have an armor that I can call upon no matter where I am....unless it's a burning building...then I might have issues...

"My name's Obaro Kataru." Despite the fear running through her, she creased a brow.
"I've never heard of you and I've seen the files on each Akatsuki member. You were never listed among them."
Nami watched as the imitation pyreflies seemed to splatter against her shield.

Kotaru only smirked as he let the pyreflies linger about, and finally they all gathered on the barrier causing it to become purple now. Then Kotaru did a handseal, and nodded.
"I know. I'm quite new."
Then he closed his eyes.
"Release."
And with that one pyrefly was triggered and began to set off the others in one massive explosion, trying to destroy the barrier.

The pyreflies that had survived being decemated by Nami's shield went off in a massive explosion, shaking the illusionary hall and creating a deafening roar that caused the kunoichi to cover her ears as a few layers of the barrier fell away.
She cursed, glaring at her attacker from behind what remained.
"I guess they had to recruit someone after their stars got killed."

Kotaru thought in his head and his smirk faded. He couldn't believe that the barrier hadn't gone down with his attack, but then he crossed his arms.
"Well someone had to kill you now didn't they?"

Form an original technique, huh? One that I can call my own...
A gentle breeze blows through the boughs of a towering oak. Budding leaves drift away on the back of the wind, creating a brilliant rain of green. Violet eyes watch the path of the falling leaves with interest.
The bag slung across Irianna's shoulder shifts against her back and wings. Reminded of its presence, Irianna reaches behind her to draw out the worn leather book and her favorite pen. She places the book and pen in her lap and hangs her bag from a small branch. Humming a soft tune, she finds a blank page. The young woman taps the end of her pen against the paper, a contemplative habit. She sighs and watches her breath ruffle the pages of the book.
Irianna stops tapping her pen and raises one slender red eyebrow. Violet eyes stare once more as a breeze knocks leaf buds from the boughs of the oak. She leans toward a few tiny buds, inhales, and blows at the leaves. A few fall from the branch and drift to the ground. For a second, the woman thinks of the crystalized ectoplasm flower hidden away in her bag, protected by a roll of thick cotton cloth. A thought crosses Irianna's mind and she leans back to write a few thoughts down in her book. The scratching of the pen pauses once in a while as she takes a moment to collect her thoughts before pressing on. The idea she has is simple, but holds great potential. Every detail she can think of goes into the entry, every imagined flaw, prerequisite, potential effect, etc.

"I doubt it would be you. They sent a rookie to take me out which means you guys have obviously underestimated me." She muttered and then with a cry threw the barrier forwards, up and over herself until it surrounded Kotaru, the netted layer binding tightly with its rope-like cables.
She knew it wouldn't hold him forever but it would give her a chance to think...and run.
She bolted down the corridor, turning and twisting at every corner of what seemed like a western style-dungeon. She knew there was no way out but at least she could try and think above the pounding of her heart.

But from the ground where Nami ran, the dirt like structure unfolded, and hands would reach up to grab her ankles.
"Tsuchi Funkei no Jutsu."
And then the hands would pull on her, to bring her into the ground up to her neck, as Kotaru pulled himself out past her in the process. Then he landed and turned to her.
"Gotta love Kage Bunshin. So my dear...you see a resemblance to your dearest Clow in me?"
